About the apartment: I have a beautiful and spacious third-floor 2-bedroom apartment in south Harlem (extremely close to the Upper West Side) in which I rent out one room on a regular basis to responsible and mature adults who'd like a really incredible place to stay while visiting Manhattan but think that paying $350 a night for a really bad hotel is just crazy! (It is, right??)
About me: I'm a really easy going, professional, chilled out 30 year old guy that loves to host visitors and make them feel at home. I'm pretty busy, so a lot of times you will have the apartment all to yourself. All I ask from you is that you're clean, polite and respectful. In turn, I guarantee you an extremely comfortable space in which you will feel completely at home and welcome.
Your stay includes an air-conditioned/heated private room (with a lockable door), fresh and SOFT Restoration Hardware towels, FREE Wi-Fi, access to the TV connected to Netflix & Hulu Plus (for free movies and TV shows!), plenty of DVDs, an in-room mini fridge stocked with water and anything else you'd like for breakfast (feel free to request and I'll do my best!), and an in-room personal Keurig coffee/tea service for your enjoyment. The bed has a VERY comfortable queen size mattress with always clean and fresh 800 thread count sheets/pillows. There is also a desk, armoire and a huge closet with hangers for your use.
You're wanting to stay with me by now right? But wait, there's more.......
My apartment sits in the middle of two train lines........ One block away from both the 2/3 express train and the B/C train. Basically that means 10 minutes to Times Square, 15 minutes to Chelsea or the West Village and 20 minutes to Wall Street or Brooklyn. The bus that stops right outside the apartment will also take you down 5th Ave to the museum district in about 15 minutes. Both Central Park and Columbia are a 5 minute walk away. The apartment is easy to get to from any airport by cab, or by subway through Penn Station, Port Authority or Grand Central.
There's a gourmet grocery one block away if you want to eat at home, or plenty of cool restaurants in the neighborhood to eat at or order from (I'll be happy to give you suggestions on this!) Also free parking if you're bringing a car.
One more thing.......I love wine. You probably will be offered a glass or two while you're here, please feel free to say no. But also feel free to say yes! =) Looking forward to meeting you and helping you have a wonderful time in NYC!
You and Jason
