Sandy's beautiful home in Fairfax was the perfect place for my parents' visit. She was warm, professional and helpful and the house is stunning. Gorgeous sweeping views from the sunny deck, decorated with interesting original art, and all around comfortable, this is a great place to stay and a great find. Thanks Sandy!

Wish I could have stayed here for a month! It was idyllic. The setting is so peaceful with a view of the lush hills. The decor is simple, fresh and charming with handmade crafts and art. The high end kitchen is well stocked. The instantaneous hot water with purified drinking water was an unexpected plus. The house is located a short drive to the town of Fairfax which has great small restaurants serving organic food and charming shops. Sandy was so accommodating and clear about how to use things in the house. If I needed anything she was just a call or email away to let me know how to handle whatever might come up. Truly a memorable stay. I hope to return.

I recently spent two great weeks at Sandy's place. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, very clean and organized. The new kitchen is pretty and very well equipped. Location is perfect - peaceful, private, gorgeous views, birds, deer (at times) and only a few minutes drive to the center of fairfax where you would find cute shops, cafes, movie theatre, a good health food store, farmers market and more. Sandy was very thoughtful and left detailed instructions as well as suggestions for trips in the area. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. The communication with sandy was very easy throughout my booking as well as during my stay. I would sure love to come back. Thanks!

Sandy's bi-level retreat is spectacularly located, completely equipped, more spacious than it appears in the photos, and has a luminescent, serene feel to it. One deck offers amazing views (see photo). The other is an outdoor haven steps out from a peaceful bedroom. The bathroom is nicely tiled & the kitchen is newly renovated. There is a washer/dryer & dishwasher. Sandy helpfully supplied vast info about the region and was so thoughtful and caring. She really went the extra mile to ensure that we would enjoy our stay. I highly recommend this home!

Having known Sandy for (dare I say?) 50+ years, we took a road trip together in July, 2011 that started and ended at Sandy’s home. Seeing the photos of Sandy’s beautiful house brought back all the great memories of my stays with Sandy at her home. The little Midwesterner/New Yorker me is still trying to get over the lack of bugs in Sandy’s house: no mosquitoes even with the sliding glass doors open to the beautiful Cascade Valley. And the comfort of her home. And sitting on the deck just reading and listening to the birds. And just looking. And all the great conveniences in the house that aren't so convenient in my apartment-living New York. I was impressed with walks in Fairfax parks – just “up the street,” the ease of getting around and going to Sonoma and Napa wine valleys, the cute towns (and food and food), the ocean, and, of course, San Francisco and the museums I love. Sandy’s usual generosity and initiative in taking responsibility for all the details of our trip inform her relationships with everyone around her. Thanks, Sandy.
