This home is equipped with the internet, cable TV, full bar, fireplace and rooftop porch off the bedroom. Sleeping accomodations are 1 queen bed in bedroom and 1 pull out sofa on the 1st floor. The kitchen is equipped with appliances to support any lifestyle. Off street parking for 2-3 cars is very convenient. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.
Located on Mt. Washington, a 3-minute drive or 10-minute walk to the spectacular view of Pittsburgh from Grandview Avenue.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and I'd be happy to give you suggestions for local dining, activities and entertainment.

The space is laid out for a relaxing stay, enjoying the outdoors, and enjoying time with friends. The neighborhood is cozy and quite, but in walking distance to a spectacular view or fun trails, public transportation to downtown and all around town.

    Like staying at your cool aunt's house This ain't no hotel; this place is lived in with love. The furnishings, the decorations, they're all an extension of Grace's personality: sweet, witty, self-assured and sentimental.  There are mementos of a life lived to the fullest throughout the place: photos of family (Grace has a LOT of sisters), collages and knock-knacks... The photos don't do the place justice. Don't get me wrong, they're fine photos, but they don't show some of my favorite touches: the wall of DaVinci's Last Suppers (easily a dozen); the master bathroom wallpaper made from 365-day calendar pages ("Think Like a Millionaire" and "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus"); the 2nd-story deck with futon for outdoor lounging... And the place seems to defy physics: it's way bigger on the inside than on the outside. Room after room, each packed full of entertainment opportunities. The living room/lounge (the main picture in the profile) is swanky: the chaise lounge is huuuuge, and those lamps are fantastic.  The bar...well, I want a bar like this in my house: perfect for entertaining. This was the first airbnb booking for both Grace and myself, and, at least from this noobie's perspective, this is just how the system is supposed to work. Grace was accommodating, available, and full of helpful tips on how to do Pittsburgh like a native. She cleared out a dresser drawer and some closet space for me. She gave me open access to the bar, and permission to entertain friends for cocktails. I mentioned that I'm an avid cyclist and was interested in seeing Pittsburgh by bike, and Grace was quick to offer hers for the weekend; I didn't end up using it (and maaaan, that would've been tough: that town's hilly, especially the Mt. Washington neighborhood in which Grace lives...I probably should've see that coming).  For my part, I ended up being occupied and away from the place for whole days at a time, and was happy to give Grace access to the place in my absence. (She was staying at her sister's place right next door). Next time I'm in Pittsburgh, I'm Living with Grace on Mt Washington.
