Enjoy convenient, comfortable and private accommodations in our home, located in a quiet, charming walkable neighborhood. Our home is just a few blocks from NC State University and a 10-minute bus ride (or a 15-minute bike ride) to downtown. Also in the neighborhood are Raleigh's Rose Garden or shopping and dining in Cameron Village.

You'll have the basement all to yourself: a simple but comfortable bedroom with full-size bed, updated private bathroom, private entrance and adjacent den with TV, DVD, and Netflix streaming. There is a mini-fridge in the room. All linens and wifi provided. Feel free to use our kitchen, or, with advance arrangements, join us for a meal.

We're well-served by public transit. a Raleigh CAT bus stop just two blocks away will take you downtown or to other destinations in town. Regional TTA buses with service to Chapel Hill, Durham, RTP, and RDU airport are just six blocks away. We also have off-street parking.

We have many bikes available for riding to campus or downtown. You can also get on Raleigh's wonderful greenway network in two places within about a mile of our house and ride to the renowned (and free!) NC Museum of Art, Umstead State Park, or the newly renovated Pullen Park, with its 100 year old carousel.

We're adaptable, so if you have a special request, let us know and we'll accommodate it if we can. We look forward to hosting you!

  • Evan and Debbie were great hosts. The space was clean and comfortable and I plan to return later in the year. The location is very central and easy to find. Overall, highly recommended.

  • Great location for visiting Raleigh. Great hosts.

  • Amazing place! Total privacy, Debbie and Evan are perfect hosts. I stayed very confortable in their house. The room is clean and tidy, including the bathroom. I really loved this place, Very close to the North Campus of NCSU, only five minutes walk.

  • This was my first AirBnB experience and it worked out wonderfully. I was in the process of relocating to Raleigh and I needed a place to stay while looking for a home. I booked the room for seven nights at the weekly rate, which gave me a discount on the nightly rate on this particular listing (I noticed that not all listings offer that). The hosts, Evan and Debbie, are very gracious, kind, bright, and sophisticated people. I appreciate that they share my concern about sustainability. I mainly kept to myself, and I had a lot of privacy in the furnished basement, which included a nice size bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The separate entrance to the house in the back was great, as I never felt like I was interrupting the families daily routine. Evan provided some very helpful info about the area. There is a small refrigerator in the room, which I stocked with groceries from the Whole Foods, which is a short hike away. The house is situated in a lovely, tree-filled neighborhood. They even had a few bikes on hand for me to use, which came in very handy. The overall experience was great, which was a life-safer during my stressful home-searching process. I highly recommend this listing and would stay there again.

  • Debbie and Evan were attentive hosts. My husband and I enjoyed the large and private space, and having our own bathroom was a definite bonus! They live in a very nice neighborhood with good access to local attractions. We loved being able to borrow their bikes to ride on the nearby greenway to the NC Art museum.

  • They have comfortable quarters. You're in their basement but you have a separate entrance thus you don't have to go through their house. That's great if like me you are not getting in until 2-3am. The owners are nice and hospitable. However, they didn't provide breakfast just coffee. I don't really care about getting breakfast but it worth meantioning seeing how they're on a bed and breakfast website. I plan on using their accommodations again. Very convenient for me and to downtown Raliegh.
