Silicon Bliss near Palo Alto

My mom from Germany stayed at Elizabeth's "Silicon Bliss" and she enjoyed her stay a lot. The house has a great location, is very comfortable and cosy and has a great atmosphere. The dog is adorable and they got friends very soon. Elizabeth is an excellent host, very kind and helpful and she knows the area like no one else!

I was in the mood to spend a few days in Menlo Park during my last work trip to the Bay Area and I came across Elizabeth's place. What a great experience! I was the lucky recipient of very good and strong coffee, bacon & eggs, real muesli, and a dinner of Alaskan fresh fish, courtesy of her trip to Alaska recently. I try to get to Menlo Park whenever I can, and will definitely try to seek out this place in the future! It's close to downtown (both MP and PA) and also very nice and clean. Elizabeth is a top notch host and her dog Billie is wonderful! Thanks for the terrific stay!

Excellent accommodation. Elizabeth and Billy were first rate hosts. Made my intensive week at Stanford Red Barn go nice and easy. Elizabeth packed me off in the very chilly mornings with my thermos full of good hot coffee. I enjoyed my conversations with Elizabeth along with Billy's companionship, and felt as if I were staying in the home of friends.

This place is especially convenient if you're traveling without a car and need to hang out in Menlo Park or Palo Alto; it's essentially on the edge of these towns (with most places in them < 20 min cycling away). If you need to go further, you'll also be close (< 15 min walk) to the Caltrain, a commuter rail that links San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties. Elizabeth will go out of her way to make you feel at home. Though she knows the area well, she's traveled enough to understand how to explain it to a newbie; I'm moving there soon, and her advice has helped guide my housing search. If you like pets, she also has a dog, Billy, who is both friendly and well-behaved.

Elizabeth is quite a nice, friendly and generous host. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and had a good breakfast every day. This was my first time using airbnb, and I was happy with the experience.

I had an excellent stay at Elizabeth's house. I was in town for an interview and would not have been able to see so much of the area if it wasn't for Elizabeth showing me the around. The bed was very comfortable. The house was in a great location. Billy, the dog, is very cute. I had a great stay.

Elizabeth was an excellent host. Unfortunately, I was very ill during my stay but Elizabeth offered me tea and honey and made me feel at home. I love Billy, her dog. The house is small buy very clean. My bed was super comfortable and the sheets were really nice. The bathroom was very clean and I loved the shower. Very nice stay.

I would recommend this room to anyone. It was beautiful, super clean, lovely, and extremely comfortable. More importantly, Elizabeth made me feel so welcome and is full of great advice about the area (with delicious fruit for breakfast). She has the best dog ever too! I am so grateful to have been able to stay here!

It has been several months since I stayed with Elizabeth but there have been several times since that stay that I have recalled fascinating conversations with Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a multi-faceted, creative, thoughtful conversationalist and a gracious host. She welcomed me warmly and did everything to make the visit a pleasant one. The home itself is quite comfortable, and the location cannot be beat! I would recommend her highly!

My stay was excellent and Elizabeth couldn't have been a better host. The room was clean and comfortable and Elizabeth is an interesting soul who you'd be privileged to meet and spend time with. I highly recommend staying here if she has the room available! The dog is awesome and friendly too...

Elizabeth is a wonderful host! She stocked the fridge for our visit, gave us a bottle of wine and some honey from her own bees, and even let us use a couple of bicycles. The cottage has we needed for a two week stay. Definitely beats staying at a hotel. The main advantage of this cottage is location. It is 2 minute drive away from Stanford Shopping Center, a 5 minute walk to Santa Cruz avenue, within a couple miles you have restaurants, coffee shops, hiking trails, grocery stores, and it is right in the middle of the peninsula.

My stay was perfect. Elizabeth was a warm, generous host who put a lot of effort into making my stay great. She even lent us bicycles for the day, and introduced us to one of her very interesting friends in the tech scene. This was my first time using AirBNB and I was impressed.

Elizabeth and her Portuguese water dog Billy were outstanding hosts for three nights. I enjoyed some delicious breakfasts courtesy of the vegetable garden and the chickens. The room was clean and comfortable; Elizabeth was very friendly and always had a story to share; and Billy was always up for an impressive trick - I've never seen a dog sneeze on command before!

Elizabeth is a wonderful host, friendly, fun to chat with and very generous with her home. She made me fresh ground coffee at 5:30 am. Now that's amazing. The studio was comfortable and quiet. The bed has a great, cozy comforter. I will definitely stay here again Fabulous veggie garden, fresh eggs and a wonderful dog named Billy . A great place for a relaxed stay. Elizabeth's digs are fantastic. Very clean, very cozy, and a stones throw from Sandhill Road. Elizabeth is an incredibly gracious host. She is pleasant, down to earth, intelligent, and has a clever sense of humor. She is a bona fide native and has mad Bay Area knowledge. The home is very close to restaurants, bars, and about a quarter mile to SamTrans (bus) and half mile to Caltrain. I'll be staying at Elizabeth's many more times in the future, that's for certain.

I spent almost a week at Elizabeth's and it was a wonderful experience, so good that we ended as friends. The place is great, the host very friendly and helpfull.It is like staying at your own place

I met Elizabeth on my very first AirBNB experience, and I immediately felt like I was staying in the home of a friend. She went above and beyond to assist me in any way she could, including showing me around town and introducing me to some of my first contacts in the Bay Area. I was treated to a comfortable bed, peaceful atmosphere, and even fresh vegetables and eggs from her back yard. The location is excellent, and with the extra bicycles she has for visitors to use, it's easy to get around -- Stanford is just a short ride away. She has a large, friendly dog (Billy) who is easily excited, but very friendly. I'd recommend her place to any of my friends who were traveling through the area.
