Cute Culver City Garden Casita

Cute and cozy small house with all equipment. Location is very convenient, a lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Nice experience.

We spent a fantastic time in the Garden Casita in Culver City!! A very beautiful place to be. An oasis of calm - but absolutely centrally located. In the mornings we attended the language school in Westwood, afternoons we went the beach or went sightseeing. It was perfect located. The garden is really gorgeous and Terry & Teigh are great hosts. They left nothing to be desired, are very, very friendly, helpful, considerate and very pleasant. We loved to be there. Thanks a lot - and maybe we'll come back some day!!!

I loved my stay at Murphy & Teigh's Casita. The location could not be better - walking distance to downtown Culver City with so many places to eat and drink. For me, it was perfect because it was two blocks from my brother's family's home so it was uber-convenient. The casita is the perfect size for one or two people. It is located in Murphy and Teigh's backyard which provides a sense of privacy and security. The amenties were great. I didn't use the kitchenette because I didn't spend much non-sleeping time there but there ample supplies to cook simple meals if I had wanted. The bathroom was great too, stocked with shower stuff, even lotion and toothpaste which I appreciated because I ran out mid-trip. The shower was very nice. I loved the bed. I slept very well in it, even taking naps. Wifi access was great and reliable so I feel confident in being able to stay there for a business trip. The only thing I would recommend is that if you are sensitive to light, that you bring an eye mask because the sheer curtains do let in light in the morning. There is also a skylight which meant that when I was there during the day, I didn't need to turn on any lights. Oh and don't forget to pay attention to street cleaning signs. I got a ticket because I didn't! It's only two days a week (Tue and Wed I think) but you'll get a $60 ticket if you forget. As long as my brother lives in the neighborhood, I plan to stay with the Gilsons and I have recommended the place to the rest of our family.

I stayed in the casita for 3 nights and it was a great experience. Murphy and Teigh are great hosts - they were warm and inviting and very relaxed. The casita has everything you need and is a good price for the location. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet and close to everything - Culver Blvd., studios, restaurants and shopping. Overall it was just what I was looking for - thanks for having me!

Murphy and his family are very charming and thoughtful hosts. My friend and I recently spent a few days at their sweet Casita which is conveniently located near everything we wanted to see and do in L.A. —galleries, museums, restaurants and beaches! We began each day sipping coffee in the morning sun of the garden patio and taking a walk through the pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. I miss it and can't wait to come back.
