The space

CHARMING & UNIQUE with access to private swimming hole, this is a romantic getaway with *stunning* views of the Sierra Nevada mountains on 7.5 acres, with your own entry and large private deck for relaxing & stargazing. We're on top of a winding private drive next to hundreds of acres of untouched land—it's like having nature all to yourself. EVERY SEASON IS SPECIAL!

With french country decor, air conditioner, "fireplace" heater, mini fridge, coffee maker with fresh ground coffee from Hawaii + creamer, microwave and goodies, it has all you need except a full kitchen. There are plenty of eateries within a short distance as well as a grocery for any other needs.

You'll sleep like a baby with the sounds of the Kaweah river flowing over giant boulders below you, on a top-of-the-line mattress and freshly laundered linens.

This is the perfect home base as you explore the wild and wonderful Sierra Nevada mountains, with one of the best views in all of Three Rivers. The Sequoia National Park entrance is literally 2 minutes from the cabin! Seeing the Giant Sequoias is truly a one-of-a-kind experience :)

As mentioned, you can also explore the property and hike down our trail to a private swimming hole. If it's warm enough you can jump right in! Less than a 10 minute walk, it's amazing! Bring comfortable shoes, your swimsuit and a water bottle. I supply the walking sticks!

Guest access

You have access to the entire property… hike around the trails and enjoy!

Interaction with guests

INTERACTION: When you arrive I will show you to the cabin and answer any questions you may have. You will be greeted by Seamus (SHAY-mus) and Joey, our two friendly dogs, who will be very excited to meet you! They love new friends!

We attempt to give our guests total privacy: we interact with our guests as much as needed, but no more than necessary. We are on hand if there are any issues, questions or needs. Jana (and/or Kinsey) is available either onsite or by text anytime of day or night. Airbnb messenger works great here!

The cabin is located next to the main house, but the way it's laid out enables total privacy.

NOTE: Please read the "House Rules" before coming up. You will need to know where to park, etc. Once booking is confirmed you will have access to DIRECTIONS as well. There will be a printed copy of the guidebook with trail maps, local spots and house rules in the cabin. :)

The neighborhood

This is one of the most beautiful destinations in California. The magical Sequoia National Park is pristine yet not overrun with people like some other areas. King's Canyon is simply breathtaking as well. You will truly get a unique mountain experience here with the many wonderful trails and vistas to explore.

Three Rivers is also a great place to kick around—art galleries, eateries and a great atmosphere make this a special little town! :)

Getting around

3.5 hours by car from LA, 4.5 to 5 hours from SF—leave at 8 or 9am from LA and you'll be here for lunch. You'll definitely need a car. Once in the park, you can walk miles of trails to your heart's content. There is a seasonal park shuttle starting in MAY you can take once here as well.

Other things to note

Sorry, no pets or additional people. The cabin is cozy and ONLY FITS TWO.

I will email the cabin info and directions to the email you have on file with AirBNB. Please print out the direction page for the drive here.

Be ready to live like LOCAL & chillax! :)

Jana's place is in a secluded bit of nature's beauty, right by the entrance of Sequoia park. The views from her place are outstanding, all you hear are the birds singing, the frogs croaking and the rivers flowing, it's so peaceful. The room was tidy and comfortable, she even provided us with some treats which was greatly appreciated! Would highly recommend this place to get a real feel of living within the national parks and forests.

Our stay in Three rivers was made even more exceptional after spending two nights in this idyllic cabin. With incredible views and a completely private and secluded location we were in heaven! Jana was an absolute pleasure to deal with and super helpful, and Joey and Seamus were super friendly and greeted us when we arrived at the cabin. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you're planning on heading into the national parks like we did as it is right by the entrance!

I'm a creative person originally from Los Angeles. I love the invigorating & peaceful energy of the Sierra Nevada mountains and I'm lucky to be living my dream on 7.5 acres of gorgeous land. I've done quite a bit of traveling and have friends from all over the world—I'm having a blast sharing my slice of paradise with old and new friends year-round—EVERY SEASON IS SPECIAL—come on up!

“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.” - John Muir
