The place itself was beautiful. Lots of light. Very comfortable. There were 3 of us and we loved it. All the amenities were there, lots of extra pillows and blankets. We ran info a lot of problems with the internet not connecting but if you are not there for work thats not a big trade-off for the great space you get. There are 3 subways in walking distance but I would only recommend walking to the one on 135th st considering the fact that its the closest safest route. I would not recommend walking late at night by yourself because the area this place is around isn't the safest place in the world, although the street that Stephanie's room is on is very quiet. Overall, we recommend highly. Great for a group of friends looking for a comfortable place to stay without breaking the bank.

Everything went very smoothly and I loved staying in the Maison d'Art. Very quiet and easy to access. I would definitely book a place with Stephanie again.

Our stay at La Maison d'Art apt 2 was very good. The apartment is on a quiet street and near a main subway line. Neighborhood has a low shade factor. Apartment was clean quiet and just what was needed. I would stay again. Stephanie was very helpful as a guide to the neighborhood and very accomodating our our schedule.

I booked to stay in Stephanie's apartment 1-2 months in advance, 3 days before leaving for NYC I sent a message to her to make sure everything was ok, this is the reply I got: "Thanks for your message. I had to move your rental next door to my neighbor an friend Bert because of double booking issues. I am really sorry about that. . Bert and I work together and are both Airbnb hosts of two great places:) He has the exact same brownstone building as I have with very nice private apartment exactly set-up the same way as mines with all amenities and same prices." Totally unacceptable to let me know this only 3 days before arrival. No sorry, no nothing. The place we ended up staying in wasn't at all as nice as Stephanies. It didn't have everything that we were promised, TV didn't come until two days before we were leaving, Internet acceess was crap, it was wireless they were stealing from the neighbours, so you had to sit near the window in the bedroom to be able to go online. The landlord Bert was a really nice guy, but his "little helpers" Alex and his wife weren't very helpful, the wife was a real bitch. Bert was a nice guy, but don't stay here!

Stephanie was wonderful host and my experience with her was more than I expected. I stayed at the chic apartment which it's a very nice place, quiet and clean. On my next visit to NYC I'll stay with her again.I recommend her highly!

I'm so glad I crossed paths with the airbnb website on Time magazine this summer. Very useful for my family's trip this past week to NY. What a perfect place was Stephanie's Chic Apt! Very clean and had everything we needed. Since we were using the subway to move around it did not matter the we were a bit more uptown than I had intended because subway stops were very close to our apartment. Stephanie was very helpful in suggesting breakfast places. Can't wait to travel to NY again. I hope one of Stephanie's places is available.

Stephanie was THE BEST host ever! It seemed like everything we needed she had ready. Not only was the place wonderful, clean, and felt like home, but we adopted Stephanie as our "big sister". She has the warmest personality, the greatest smile. We already know who to call when we go back to visit NYC!

The experience was very good. The apartment was very clean, and fully outfitted with dishware, towels, etc. Sophie, Stephanie's friend, could not have been nicer, and worked very hard to make sure everything was right, including rushing over with the blowup bed. The whole transaction was very good. Parking was available on the street saving us a lot of money and two subway lines were within easy walking distance as well as restaurants and stores. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Beautiful room...and the whirlpool tub was a great way to end the day after walking about the city... Sophie was a sweet host while Stephanie was on Holiday... Will definitely book another stay when back in The City...thankyou for a lovely stay!!!!

Stephanie was such a wonderful host! We were familiar with the NYC area but she went out of her way to make sure we knew how to get around her area in particular and had tons of suggestions for things to do and places to go. Everyone there was wonderful and she made us feel right at home. We had a great time and would consider her again when visiting New York City.

Wow..It was one of my best trip ever. My husband and I had an amazing time in Stephanie's Place. We stayed 3 days at her place. It was a super clean apartment and we had whatever we need in the apartment, like TV,Telephone,Internet,the clean towels and well equipped kitchen. I would definitely recommend the place and the Stephanie as a host. She is so nice and very helpful. Stephanie gave us a map of NYC and great tips on where to go. Thanks a lot dear Stephanie! Stephanie was nothing but hospitable and amazing during my 2 week stay in La Maison d'Art Suite. The room is amazing and the bed is absolutely the best bed over. It was more than I ever could have imagined. Thanks again Stephanie you were amazing!

Stephanie was a very courteous host. We enjoyed our stay at Central Park North, but the apartment we stayed in was not the same one as in the picture. It was very similar, but not the same. The wifi didn't work very well and the cable did not work at all. The area was a little sketchy, but this was also our first trip to NY so it took a little getting used to. Stephanie gave us lots of tips on restaurants, things to do, and getting around on the subway. The experience overall was a pretty good one.

I'd definitely recommend Stephanie as a host and would stay in one of her apartments again.

Staying chez Stephanie at the artist apt was the greatest, even though we actually didn't get to meet her she seems incredibly laid back and welcoming, the apt is a charm and the area although it can appear a bit sketchy at first is full of very very live and welcoming people like the host. We had a blast and would return to the artist apt and any other place where Stephanie is the host in a heartbeat... Thanks for a great experience!

She gave me all guarantees I asked before the trip, she gave good advice about places to see or things to do, her room saved me a lot of money compared to a hotel but without giving up on quality and cleanliness (there's a washing machine !). And being 1 block away from Central Park or the subway is just so nice. Sure that was one of the best part of my trip in NYC !
