The place was lovely. And being in Harlem was great. They're close to the B-C trains at 135th. I will stay here again.

Amazing host, I ended up becoming sick when arriving in NYC and Stephanie accommodated us for whatever we asked. Couldn't have asked for a better host. A+

Even thought I got the trouble in staying at Stephanie’s suite, I am so lucky to meet her. She put a lot of effort to let me understand the situation and help me to move to her friend’s apartment. I have been staying in Brooklyn. Everything is okay. She is an honest and trustful host.

I recently stayed in La Maison D'art apt 2 with 3 friends. Stephanie was a wonderful hostess. She was very gracious in accomodating our needs and preferences by providing an extra bed! I loved the character of the neighbourhood and found the community to be friendly. Stephanie and the community were very helpful with suggestions and directions. I highly recommend staying at any of the accomodations provided by Stephanie, it really was a home away from home and her welcoming hospitality was the defining ingredient.

if you are looking for a cool place to come "home" to while in NYC, this is a great choice! we loved the quiet street and calm neighborhood, away from the lights and business of downtown... stephanie was a wonderful hostess and really gave us a lot of great info on how to navigate the local buses and she had great subway tips! she was also extremely accommodating on our check in time. the apartment itself is adorable and very spacious with lots of light and a super cute backyard/patio. i would definitely have given it 5 stars if the bathroom had been cleaner. this was my first experience with airbnb and it was very successful, i would recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to NYC.

We stayed at W 132nd st NY and Stephanie is a wonderful host. We enjoyed the apartment very much and not least the wonderful friendship of Stephanie. Highly recommended to live NY as a New Yorker and experience the Harlem Renaissance (design+music+food). Very close to the subway system and safe. Well done Stephanie.

The place itself was beautiful. Lots of light. Very comfortable. There were 3 of us and we loved it. All the amenities were there, lots of extra pillows and blankets. We ran info a lot of problems with the internet not connecting but if you are not there for work thats not a big trade-off for the great space you get. There are 3 subways in walking distance but I would only recommend walking to the one on 135th st considering the fact that its the closest safest route. I would not recommend walking late at night by yourself because the area this place is around isn't the safest place in the world, although the street that Stephanie's room is on is very quiet. Overall, we recommend highly. Great for a group of friends looking for a comfortable place to stay without breaking the bank.

Everything went very smoothly and I loved staying in the Maison d'Art. Very quiet and easy to access. I would definitely book a place with Stephanie again.

Our stay at La Maison d'Art apt 2 was very good. The apartment is on a quiet street and near a main subway line. Neighborhood has a low shade factor. Apartment was clean quiet and just what was needed. I would stay again. Stephanie was very helpful as a guide to the neighborhood and very accomodating our our schedule.

Stephanie's apartment was fantastic. The room was absolutely comfortable, the bathroom was impecable and we were not bothered at all by anyone in the house the time we were there. The location was perfect, less than 2 minute walk from two metro stations and less than a minute walk from beautiful central park. Would definitely stay here again!

La Maison d'Art suite is a sanctuary in a busy city. Comfortable bed, big shower and tub (including clean towels), and even a mini-kitchen equiped with a kettle and fridge. The accommodation is nestled inbetween three subways, the furtherest one being a 10 minute walk away. If you enjoy walking I recommend walking from the room to the south end of Central Park, it's a rewarding walk. I felt safe walking around the area and really enjoyed the more relaxed atmosohere of the neighbourhood. Sophie (Stephanie's assistant) was very friendly and helpful, they provided us with a list of places around Harlem to eat and drink. As well as very useful subway and bus maps. We had a wonderful time staying here and when we return to New York would without a doubt stay at La Maison d'Art again.

We had wonderful time while we were staying at Stephanie's place. The place is very nice, clean and comfortable. The location is good, very close to the subway. I love her family! especially the little boy. strongly recommended! :)

Felt very welcome, comfortable and safe since our arrival. The place was very clean, the bathroom was clean and spacious. The room has a useful big closet and it was very quiet. We could use the kitchen any time in the day to make tea and coffee. Being a block from central park was a real treat. The neighborhood was interesting although there were some streets that looked rough but we didn't have any problems at all. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars in Harlem if you want to explore the area. I would definitely come back to stay here and I will recommend it to my friends.

Stephanie made us feel right at home! The week we were there, another couple was renting the room across the hall, but we rarely saw them. My fiance and I spent a week here for multiple different interviews in the city, and we had no problem getting anywhere from this location. There was easy access to multiple subway lines.

Stephanie was a fantastic host and her apartment a wonderful place to rest and recoup after long days of sightseeing! The apartment is in a very handy location, next to a few subway stations and with all facilities within walking distance. We had a great few days in NYC and would recommend Stephanie's place to anyone who wants a cosy, lovely place to visit NYC from. Thank you!!

Très bonne expérience avec Stéphanie et sa famille, accueillante et enthousiaste. L'hébergement est de qualité, et l'environnement agréâble à souhait. Un plan de la ville, ainsi qu'une liste de toutes adresses utiles était prêts à notre arrivée. Le lieu est très facile d'accès en métro, taxi et est à deux pas de Central Park Nord. A vizinhança do Harlem foi bastante tranquila e de fácil acessibilidade. Há drogarias, mercadinhos (grocery store), lavanderias estação de metro, a poucos passos da La Maison.

Stephanie's rooms are spotless and beautifully hip. A true downtown vibe; uptown and conveniently located. Great price, and the host couldn't be more amenable. I highly recommend a stay.
