  The cottage really was everything Marlene said it was! My wife and I were in Palo Alto for a family affair for a long weekend, and this cottage met our needs for quiet and convenience perfectly. The indoor hot tub was just the thing after a long day of dealing with our families. The cottage is in the back corner of Marlene's large garden backyard and is very private and secluded, although you do have to pass behind the house to get to it. Downtown Palo Alto is 5-8 mins away by car, actually everything in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Mountain View is no more than 15 mins away from this location. The cabin does not have cable or satellite TV, but there are many books, magazines, DVDs and high speed wireless if you need something to do during your downtime.

  It was simply perfect and had everything I needed. Marlene was flexible in the moving dates and was able to arrange a suitable schedule which worked for me very well.

  This was the second time I stayed in the cottage, and it's by far my favorite place to stay in Palo Alto!

  I loved staying in Marlene's cottage! She left fresh flowers and fruit and delicious coffee! The hot tub was most welcome on chilly days! It is very private and a nice break from staying in a hotel when traveling.

  The cottage was indeed lovely! It was extremely confortable, very clean, and it had everything I needed. Marlene was a wonderful host, she made sure the kitchen and the bathroom had all the basics, which was really convenient. I hope to stay there again soon!

  Marlene's cottage is great. It is nestled among trees and greenery, making for a super relaxing environment - hard to believe you are 10minute walk from California Ave. Marlene is very friendly and helpful. She provided information about local restaurants and even made sure there was coffee available for our first morning. Oh, and one cannot forget the hot tub in the bathroom - a perfect way to unwind. We will be back!

  This cottage is a cozy little retreat from the hustle and bustle of Palo Alto. It is very private and the hot tub in the bathroom is so fun and was a big plus for me. Marlene was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable. I can't wait to go back!
