The Bridge Street Inn is a cozy European-style guest house located in the historic East Village of Cambria. The Bridge Street Inn is a homey and affordable alternative to busy youth hostels, plain-box motels and expensive B&Bs.

The Inn is located one mile from beautiful Moonstone Beach, and only four hours from both San Francisco and Los Angeles. We're the perfect halfway point along the Pacific Coast Highway!

Full kitchen with a beautiful cast iron collection. NO TV's. Fast Wireless Internet. Street side parking. Restaurants, coffee shops and live music within walking distance.

Cambria is a great place to get away. There is so much to see around town and beyond.

Visit Heart Castle
See the elephant seals north of San Simeon
Enjoy Moonstone Beach
Kayak in San Simeon, Morro Bay or Avila Beach
Hike through town, along the Big Sur coast or at Montana del Oro State Park
Play in the sand dunes at Pismo Beach
Relax in old-town San Luis Obispo
Bike along the spectacular California coast
Visit wineries in and around Paso Robles
The town offers many art and antique shops. There are a wide variety of excellent restaurants and no fast food chains (by design). Like every small town, Cambria has a variety of parades, social events and Friday farmer's markets that will take you back to a simpler time.

I have to manage a reservation program through Hosteling International, the e-mail/phone reservations, and airbnb reservation program. PLEASE INQUIRE BEFORE MAKING YOUR RESERVATION. Don't want to overbook.

  • About: My friend Anne, former owner of The Bridge Street Inn, wrote this letter of introduction. I think she does an excellent job capturing the spirit of Follettry. You can also go to earthwormenvy.com to learn more about me as a person, a traveler, a poet, and a musician. Hi All, In the spirit of Thanksgiving, it is my absolute pleasure to send out this mass mailing with my greetings and to inform you that the little inn we all created together is in the trustworthy new hands of (full name hidden). He is not only capable but also creative and charming in just the quirky light living way we would all have him be. We could not look for better hands to entrust the place. He comes to us from Boise, Idaho with songs he has written, my favorite, “Run run pig, run run.” He has a durable touring bike, an iPhone and his own cast iron set of pans. He knows how to play with technology and also bake a mean loaf of sourdough and is prepared to live on it and lentils, as necessary, if the house is not pretty full up. Please stop by and say hi sometime and point out to him how lucky he is that you have done all the things you have done in and around the house and share a little history. Hit him up for some of his sourdough, reminding him it is the least of what you deserve, and offer him some jam and butter for the bread if he is looking excessively lean, please. If feeling brave and adventurous and you have a high speed internet connection, you might listen to “Run run pig run run” or check out Brandon’s video for making bread or lidsinks or see what other odd things he may be up to with the guests at the little inn at his website: earthwormenvy.com. Like with the last innkeeper, and maybe even a little more so, you will look at this guy and say to yourself, “huh, a bit kooky,” but you’ll find kooky has some charms, including making the little inn more extraordinarily friendly and welcoming than ever. -anne
