This 1920's vintage Spanish home has charming art studios set in a garden menagerie. Designed to recall Frida Kahlo's animal-filled work spaces, the sunny studios have separate entrances. Each has a tiny kitchenette, sweet little bath, and is furnished with hand crafted rustic pieces. Please check our downstairs listings if this calendar is full. Each studio has a view of the barn yard where bougenvilla covered arbors shade amiable chickens, rabbits, goats, pig, etc.. There are art supplies for guest use and a special craft area. Resident artists offer classes.
Walk to the city's best urban hip/haute shopping, eateries and entertainment. We are steps or a bike ride away from The Grove, Design Center, Runyon Canyon, Kodak Theater, Beverly Center, Sunset Blvd., House of Blues, The Arc-Light, Whole Foods, Poinsettia Park's new outdoor gym, LA County Museum of Art, The Broad Contemporary, The Craft and Folk art Museum. Combine the best of country and city living!
You are welcome to bring well behaved, quiet pets. Please note that there are special restrictions regarding this setting. Because the studios are accessed through a garden gate proximate to the animals we can not accommodate additional visitors, if you are joining friends please plan to meet them off-site. The animals are very sensitive to voices so this setting is only appropriate for people who enjoy hearing critters, but can be comfortable being very quiet themselves while anywhere on the property. We have no televisions and ask that guests use headphones if listening to music. Pets are welcome if friendly and quiet, they are only allowed in limited areas, but there are some private patios for their enjoyment.
