Awesome Studio Steps 2 Subway

Lisa's apartment is a fantastic base to explore NYC. Set in the heart of the East Village, the apartment is close to the hustle and bustle of St Marks. A short walk to SoHo and the LES, the apartment is also close to the 6, N, R and L subway lines. Lisa's place was tastefully decorated, well equipped, uncluttered and clean. The building itself also appeared to be quite well maintained. Lisa was a perfect host and sent through recommendations of great places to eat etc. She was very easy to communicate with and always responded quickly to emails. Lisa was also very flexible and kind enough to allow me to check in a couple of hours early. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lisa or her apartment for you next trip to NYC.

Lisa's Apt is a lovely place. I small cubicle, but very efficient with everything you need. Besides, it's spotlessly clean - which is a very important thing to me. When you visit New York and you're out all day, you want something cozy and a place you feel comfortable at when you come home exhausted. That's exactly what this place is for! The apt is situated in the East Village, in the middle of a lively but still quiet and personal neighborhood. There are so many faboulus restaurants around, it's hard to choose where to eat. My personal favorite: "Viva della Pace", an italian restaurant two houses further up towards 2nd Ave. The food is awesome and the people are loving and really nice. Lisa's apt made my stay in New York even better than I had expected. So don't think, book :-)

This was a cute little postage stamp sized apartment that was perfect for a few days in the city. I have a fetish about places being clean that we stay in and Lisa's apt. was perfect.. Little touches like the waterproof mattress pad and a fresh bar of soup mean a lot besides the fact that the apt.as a whole was sparkling clean. The whole apartment is as wide as you see in this picture but in the foreground what you can't see is a round dining table with 3 chairs. Next comes the bedroom defined by a full-side canopy-style bedr sideways against the wall so the hallway continues straight on to a tiny kitchenette (microwave but no stove), and then a bright and nice-sized bathroom with shower/tub combo. The apartment is basement level so only a few stairs down instead of those amazing 6th floor walk-ups like we've had before. There was some street noise but we managed to block that out by running a fan on low all night. This is a daylight basement set only a few feet below the street, and manages to have 4 windows (and 2 fans) which seem like they would provide good cross ventilation in warmer weather--besides the box air-conditioner in the "bedroom" window. The topper was that Lisa put together a couple of lists of restaurants, coffee houses, grocers and other retailers in the neighbor and, secondly, recommendations for restaurants and things to do further afield in the other neighborhoods of Manhatten. The apartment isn't a size we could ever imagine LIVING in (we are not city dwellers) but we'll definitely stay here again if it is available at the time! Thanks, Lisa!

Great location and a wonderful cozy apartment for a couple. Clean and did not have any problem during our stay. If you're looking for a room that is clean, tidy and practical, this is the one!!

Great apartment, we had a perfect stay! Pros : - Location! 5 min from the subway and really close to restaurants, Soho, Geenwich village... - Size was great for a couple with a table, sofa etc... Cons : - No view, as it's a basement apartment, there is light trough the windows but the curtains have to stay closed. - No toaster or stove Overall it was a really nice place and would recommend it.

Lisa's apartment was great for my daughter and me. We spent 3 days looking at art schools. Two were within walking distance, so we got great feel for the neighborhood. We were both very pleased with our choice!

Lisa's apartment was in a great location, with many fun bars and lovely restaurants near by. We were really shocked by how easy it was to get to central locations. The apartment was clean and tidy, with plenty of room to move around, definitely a place for a couple and not much more. Lisa was also very helpful before our trip and accommodating with every query we had whilst we were there. I would recommend staying at Lisa's apartment!

L'appartement est très bien situé dans le lower manhattan. Beaucoup de restaurants et de commerces de toutes sortes à proximité. L'appartement est confortable, mais ne devrait pas accueillir plus de trois personnes.

The apartment was incredibly cute, clean, and provided an excellent home away from home in NYC. Although located right in the heart of the East Village, the apartment itself was very quiet. We never heard any of the neighbors. Unlike most New York apartments that have the second bedroom in the living room, this place had two, small separate bedrooms plus a living room. It was cozy and perfect for me, my husband and our baby. Lisa was the consummate host! She responded immediately to all of my questions and was so understanding about any issues that arose. I would definitely stay here again on another trip to NYC.

Our stay at Lisa's place was amazing! From check in to check out, everything went smoothly. Her place was cozy and had everything we needed, from appliances to toiletries. The location was great as their were many restaurants and grocery stores. It was located close to shopping areas such as broadway, and also close to Chinatown. Hitching a cab on the corner of 7th street and 2nd avenue was a breeze. Overall, Lisa's place is great and definitely would stay again at her apartment.

The apartment was great! Good location and everything was in order and available. Apartment is as described and shown on pictures, cozy but perfect. We stayed with 3 people in total, so two shared a bed plus one had bed to himself. Lisa also provided an extra air mattress (which wasn't necessary in our case) and came by to bring extra towels. Also, Lisa provides guests with extensive information about the area (and entire Manhattan) w.r.t. restaurants, bars, shopping, etc etc - that was awesome! Honestly, this is a great place to stay if you want to be in lower Manhattan.

Lisa's place is just right if you're looking to stay in a great neighborhood. Perfect location - everything you need is within a short walking distance. Subways are close as well. The apartment was very quiet (even though the neighborhood is lively), and in a nice building. Beds are comfy, kitchen is cozy. WiFi is excellent. Lisa left us a folder with a list of restaurants, coffee houses, things to do in the neighborhood - very helpful. Highly recommended! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Lisa's flat was absolutely perfect for my stay in New York. Really cozy, clean and with lots of lovely little touches like toiletries in the bathroom that we were free to use. The location is amazing, close to countless buzzing restaurants and bars, and not far from the subway. The flat was also great value for money, as it has two decently-sized bedrooms. Lisa was very quick at responding to emails, left lots of recommendations for restaurants, and was generally very relaxed and accommodating. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience New York like a true local! I, for one, will definitely stay there again.

great apartment, amazing location and lisa is the best host ever. Always there when we needed her. Don't hesitate and go for it, also so many great people in her building. We made a lot of friends.

I had family in town and I couldnt accomodate everyone at my place. I found Lisa's place, which is a few blocks away for my brothers to stay at. They loved it. Said it was really clean and the beds were very comfortable. Was a perfect spot for us and what we needed. Lisa was very responsive and thorough. Would definitely recommend this apt and tenant. Great place, great location. Two bedrooms in New York is just great, and we really liked the neighborhood. Busy, but not too busy. It's between three bars, but we didn't hear any noise at all. Host was nice enough to provide us with all kinds of tips to find the best food and things to do around.

Lisa is a welcoming person and has beautiful energy. She is generous and very friendly. Her place is clean, quiet, comfortable and well equiped. I spent 8 days at her place and felt like home. The location is perfect and the neighborood has infitine choice of restaurants, stores, organic food supplies, wine and other bars. Up to now this is the best place i stayed.
