House - Private room · Divisadero St, San Francisco, CA 94117, United States

Large

Coming to San Francisco for a visit, a vacation or business? Just need a relaxing night away from it all? Experience life as a true San Franciscan in this spacious, bright and beautifully decorated ground floor bedroom highlighted by antiques and an even better than "heavenly" bed. The bedroom has a four-poster queen size bed with new mattress, large armoire and bureau. For reading or watching the 32" flat screen television with DVD and digital cable, the room has an overstuffed leather chair and ottoman. It is very tastefully decorated and truly luxurious.

A weekly rate of $579.00 is offered for stays of seven consecutive nights. Please inquire about monthly rate, if available. See calendar tab for current availability.

The bedroom is suitable for one or two guests. A completely remodeled all tile bathroom, including a relaxing jacuzzi tub, is shared. Living room, dining room and kitchen are also completely open to guests. Smoking is not permitted.

Included are bed linens and towels, wireless internet, local and US long distance phone service and utilities. Washer and dryer are available. Muni public transportation is no more than a five minute walk and you can get to downtown SF in 20 minutes by Muni. The shops and restaurants of the Castro and Lower Haight are all within walking distance. Street parking is also very plentiful, but be certain to inquire from me about weekday restrictions.

The bedroom is in a flat which is home to a high tech marketing professional in the Castro/Buena Vista Heights District. The owner has been a San Francisco resident for more than 10 years, knows the City and the area very well if you need advice or suggestions, and can provide additional services as described below.

YOUR ROOM & ITS AMENITIES

This sunny, beautifully decorated bedroom equals even the most luxurious of hotel rooms. It's non-smoking, and has a very comfortable and new four-poster queen bed, fitted with super soft, very high thread count sheets from Ralph Lauren Home and along with four down pillows and a down comforter. The bath linens are totally pampering. The room is filled with antiques and art from my extensive travels, making it feel very much like "home." An overstuffed leather chair and ottoman in the room is perfect for reading or watching television or a movie.

The rate also includes...

* High-speed wireless internet (bring your laptop!)
* Digital cable on a 32" flat screen TV and a DVD player
* Handsoap, body wash and shampoo provided in the shared bathroom
* Telephone and digital alarm clock at bedside
* Washer/dryer upon request, iron and ironing board in room.
* Cleaning, utilities and taxes - no additional charges.

YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Beautifully furnished, two bedroom Victorian flat with all of its original detail. You'll find rich and soothing colors throughout the flat, as well as furnishings, art & antiques from my global travels, accompanied by rare "matchstick" hardwood floors, and high ceilings with box beams or Victorian decoration. The bathroom has just been completely remodeled with decorator tile, all new fixtures, heated floor and jacuzzi tub. There is even a Steinway grand piano if you have the urge to play. Guests have complete access to the living room, dining room and kitchen.

WHERE YOU'LL BE STAYING

At essentially the geographic center of the City, this is the ideal San Francisco location. You'll be staying just steps from cafes & restaurants, markets, shops, banks, a post office, gyms, the Castro, Haight-Ashbury and Lower Haight, Sutter Cal Pacific Davies Hospital, historic Buena Vista Park, and a short Muni hop to the UCSF Medical Center, Golden Gate Park, the De Young Museum as well as all of downtown San Francisco in the other direction. There is incredibly easy access to public transportation and plenty of taxis. You really can get anywhere in the city quickly and easily because of the central location. Street parking is also very plentiful - but is time-restricted during the day; unrestricted overnight and on weekends.

  • Brent was a fantastic host. While we were unable to meet him in person (due to him being out of town) he was more than hospitable in answering our questions and preparing us for our trip. His house manager stayed in the house while we were there and answered any questions we had and made sure we were comfortable. We were made to feel at home with closet space, fresh towels, robes, and an amazing bed. We had our own space and didn't feel any burden over sharing a bathroom or kitchen. This house is in a great neighborhood and we would stay here again in a heartbeat the next time we come to San Francisco.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Brent's gorgeous home near the Castro. Super comfortable and quiet, and we were provided with all of the amenities we could have needed- nice, clean towels sets for each of us, water glasses, and a full selection of maps and guides for SF. Brent was out on a business trip unexpectedly, so we didn't meet in person, but he sent us very thorough instructions about getting into the house and orienting ourselves there so we felt very comfortable. Also, Brent has two very sweet dogs, Rosco and Oliver, that greeted us each time we came home. One note of caution, heed Brent's advice and pay attention to the street cleaning signs! We were in vacation mind mode, and failed to realize it was Wednesday (street cleaning day) and got fined 55 dollars. Ouch. Also, be sure to turn your wheels toward the curb when parking downhill and away when parking uphill, or you will also receive a 50 dollar fine! Live and learn.... Anyway, we had a great time at Brent's SF Charmer, and would highly recommend a stay there. Thanks, Brent!

  • We loved our stay here. The house is beautiful, the bed is fantastic and the bathrobes are the softest you'll ever encounter.. Pity we didn't have room in our luggage to smuggle them out. The location is fantastic with super easy access to the city once you get your bearings. Just head down to Castro and it's a choice of the historic F-Line all the way to Fishermans Wharf or jump on the muni to Powell to be right in town. Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of Brett but the suggestions he gave is to eat were spot on. The Samovar Tea Lounge on 18th & Sanchez it great along with Chow in Church and Little Chihuahua . Quick summary, host was fantastic, house is fantastic and location is amazing. Thank you.

  • This is a beautiful room with a wonderful bed. And Brent is organized and courteous and helpful. Location is perfect for public transportation; and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. We will certainly come back.

Really nice house! Had a great time in SF.

  • Our stay was unique. Our host had to go out of town on the second of 3 days and we had the run of the house. We were really just needing a bed because we were out most of the days anyway. The accommodations were great. Brent was very helpful on directions and maps. He has two dogs that are delightful because we like dogs. The price was great, we found street parking every night with little trouble. We loved the antiques and the location for SF was easy after you find it the first time. Brent will take care of you.

  • Awesome room. Comfy bed. Great host. Overall, great experience!

  • We had such a great stay and Brent is such a wonderful host. Our room and his house is marvelous just as you can sneak on the provided pictures. Brent was always open to answer our questions or for just a chat. The location is great too and you have easy access to public transport just next to Buana Vista Park or local supermarkets, shops or great eateries. We fell like in a six star boutique hotel - thank you so much for our wonderful stay Brent! =)

  • A luxurious spot! Brent was very mindful to anticipate anything we'd need at all! Great great spot!
