Large luxury loft on a private canal between Islington and Old street.
The space is a large ground floor unit in Waterside, a classic old London brewery that has been converted into live work units and studios.Lots of artists and creative individuals. Loft comes with parking space and a very helpful building supervisor.
Inside the space there are huge French windows and direct access to a large garden on the canal. No public walkway,so it's very beautiful and private. Great for sitting out and watching the swans at all times of the year who come right up to the window and super easy if you have a dog.Needless to say amazing in summer.
Relaxed neighbors yet very very quiet at night- away from city noise though extremely central. 5 minute walk to Old St and Angel tube stations.
Very close to both areas: both have busy nightlife, great restaurants markets and galleries depending on what you're into.
You are both in east London and Islington.
There are great walkways along the canal, (which you'll have to get to from the street side-our side of the canal is private )They're perfect for biking or getting to the rest of East london quickly through great scenery. To get to the heart of Dalston via the canals is about 10 minutes on foot, half the time of taking a bus.
There are several pubs on the canal and an award winning organic gourmet pub about two blocks down wharf road.Once you get to Old street and Islington there are endless restaurants and bars.
The loft is open plan with high ceilings and great light.
There is a modern, clean, separate bathroom with shower and washer/dryer.
The loft has central heating.Black painted original wooden floors, very minimal decor lots of space for books and clothes in particular.
Huge desk thats great for work and large kitchen table that we also used to use for meetings.
Lots of space to use as office or artists /photographers studio.
Great atmosphere -the amount of space is huge considering the central location.You can also entertain outside on the tables and chairs.
Studio wise you get easy access and plenty of room for loading and unloading, as well as space to do work outside given you ask the supervisor permission, I always see artists working on pieces outside.
