Stone Cottage Garden Homestay TWO

This is a fantastic find. Kathleen's home is beautiful and inviting. Our room overlooked her garden and chickens. We felt very comfortable. Kathleen and her son are personable and enjoyable to meet. Breakfast on the balcony was like sitting in a postcard. 100% A+ recommendation.

Kathleen is a force of nature: she's an unstoppable dynamo of laughter, good humor, and down-to-earth get-it-done attitude. Her house has that lived-in feel that made me think I was at home the moment I walked in: it's clean, bright, and open to humans and sunlight and cats. The WiFi is fast, the food delicious, and the attitude hypnotic. When I grow up, I want to be like her!

Kathleen's house is charming and warm. The in-suite half bathroom was a great feature, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. While the house isn't in the heart of Asheville, it's a very easy ride into town, and her property is beautiful (complete with chickens and vegetable gardens).

Such a nice house and great hosts Kathleen and her son were! She let me change my reservation when my car broke down the day of the trip so I am very thankful for that! We will be back !

kathleen was fantastic. her house was clean and had a lot of character. there were a few cats running around being friendly. the room itself was in the attic. it had its own bathroom and a nice view of the yard. i would definitely recommend staying with her. great host!

Kathleen was a great host and everything went completely smooth. The house is a quaint cottage with a vintage charm. Although we visited in the winter, we could definitely see the promise in the gardens and grounds come spring...this place would be perfect for someone who needed to be close enough to downtown for an easy 10 minute drive to great restaurants, but still wanting a more country feel to come back to after shopping all day.

I stayed here for a week while visiting Asheville. The house is about 15 minutes from downtown via car, and located in a quiet neighborhood. Kathleen was a wonderful host!

Kathleen was a superb host. I emailed her the day before our arrival and she made room for us--even though it was her birthday! She made sure we were well taken care of and that our every need was met. We slept very well in her charming cottage. In the morning we all ate breakfast together and she gave us advice about making yogurt and raising chickens. VERY cool experience. Highly recommended.

Kathleen was hospitable, charitable and thoughtful and very helpful. Of course, I would expect that of a Landmark grad, but who knew? Some of the people that she introduced me may one day prove invaluable. She's definitely got 'heart'. I was extremely impressed by her character & thoughtfulness.

This is the place for you if you are looking for a home-like experience. We were here for 2 1/2 weeks and we felt like family staying with Kathleen. Her stone cottage is adorable and so are her cats. Her gardens are beautiful and bountiful, and getting more so every day. She has chickens and is just getting bees for her new beehive. Kathleen is very intelligent, health-conscious, eco-conscious, kind, caring, and her green thumb shows everywhere! We totally enjoyed our stay and couldn't imagine anywhere we'd have liked more!

Kathleen was friendly and so was her sweet cat! Our daughter liked roaming around the beautifully tended yard and seeing the chickens. We were not crowded and felt comfortable coming and going as we pleased. Asheville is certainly beautiful, and our overnight stay was a good one. Would have preferred private bath, but the early charming 1900's home wasn't set up that way. Also, TV in the room would have been a plus, but were were VERY grateful for the wireless internet! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Kathleen was friendly and welcoming during our brief stay with her. Her place was well-kept and full of character with a lovely garden, as promised. A good "'off-the-beaten-path alternative."

If you appreciate a good natural breakfast, then you must take advantage of kathleen's wonderful gluten free muffins, fresh pastured egg casserole , and homemade yogurt.

Kathleen's home is lovely. She did everything to make me feel very welcome. An excellent host. She is a wonderful cook as well. The breakfasts she prepared were wonderful. If I ever need a place to stay near Ashville again I only hope she will have a vacancy. Thank you Kathleen.

This was our first time using Airbnb & it was great! Kathleen was very accommodating & helpful. The home & room were very comfortable. aybe next time we will be able to see the beautiful gardens in bloom . Will definately keep her in mind the next visit to Asheville.
