This was a very lovely place that seemed to be situated between the "hot spots" of Manuel Antonio and Quepos. It is tucked away a bit which was very pleasant if you're looking to hideaway, as the description suggests. The surrounding flora is lush and gorgeous to be around if you're looking for that kind of experience. The place is very well stocked and supplied with all kinds of amenities such as coffee, plates, knives, cookware, etc. This location is run practically like a hotel, with a responsive concierge to boot as well. If I had to nitpick anything, I would say the prospective tenant should be aware that while beautiful, the location is a bit inconvenient for getting around and experiencing the beaches/restaurants of M.A./Quepos at night, without paying for an expensive taxi ride. It feels very safe when you get up to the casa, but walking around on the main road is highly inadvisable given the length and turns, with no consistent sidewalk. The toilet makes a sound akin to a howler monkey which is slightly annoying during the nighttime hours, but also kind of funny. For first time visitors to the area looking for more "action", it does pose a bit of a challenge. Overall though, if I was looking to getaway again I would absolutely love to stay here again as it does boast a very private feeling true to it's word.

The host Krissia was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - despite our flight delays and last minute change of schedule. I highly recommend staying here. It's a lovely place, spotless, and very quiet. I will say it's a tad tricky to find at night, but their directions were spot on and made it easy.

Beautiful apartment with a beautiful terrace. We had a great stay and found the kitchen, washer/dryer so convenient! The location is good in relation to hotel California, but quite a bit away from Manuel Antonio beach/park. Karissia the property manager was nice enough to let us hang around on checkout day as we waited for our shuttle to our next spot. We would recommend for couples who would like seclusion!

This place was the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The hosts were extremely kind and even though they live upstairs we felt like we had our own private bungalow. The kitchen is fully equipped, which makes cooking easier than in other AirBnb locations. Carol gave excellent directions to the apartment. We enjoyed outselves a lot. The view from the balcony is beautiful especially at sunset. Also, so pleased that the host offers recycling and composting at the location - definitely a win in my book! Thanks

Carol and her husband communicated well and they were very helpful. The apartment is in the lower floor of their home just up the hill from them main road. Initially the narrow gravel road had me wondering where I was going, but the home and grounds are very nice. The neighbourhood seemed quiet and safe to me as well. They have a beautiful garden that surrounds the large private balcony outside the apartment. While we were there a few monkeys came through the trees, which was pretty cool. The pictures are accurate, but they do make it look small in my opinion. The kitchen was large and well equipped. I appreciated the washer and dryer as well, especially after more than a week without one. For location, use the host's description (next to Hotel California) not the map. The map is incorrect and just points to Manuel Antonio in general. The unit is between Manuel Antonio and Quepose, but taking the bus to either town or beach is cheap (310 crc) and fast (10 min). There are also a couple restaurants you can walk to easily.

Thanks Mitch! I know the map is not clear but the site mapped it & I couldn't get it to be more clear. However, I will try again and also make the directions clearer on the site. Hope your return home was fine!

My new husband and I found Carols home to be perfect for our stay, equipped with everything we need from fully stocked kitchen to washer and dryer. This place is perfect for a long stay where you want to stay in for the night or go and explore Manuel Antonio. Carol and her house manager were very kind and quick to help. We appreciated their flexibility. I definitely recommend this apartment to others and would return myself. It's a perfect place for privacy and a taste of the rainforest at the same time.

Casa Terraza was absolutely incredible! The photos you see of it are gorgeous but believe it or not, they don't do justice! We got so see some monkeys swinging from tree to tree too :) Carol was so kind and stayed in touch with us until we reached her place! She then gave us a little tour and told us about what is nearby! She surprised us in the morning with some buns that her neighbour made! She wasn't there after our first day there but that didn't stop her from making sure we were okay. Her manager, Jorge, was very sweet as well! The bus stop is just down the hill from her too, which is convenient considering you'd want to go to both Quepos & Manuel Antonio. Both areas are merely minutes away from her place! You'll love it here. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Quepos/Manuel Antonio!
