Huge Private Room with Sky Lights

  My partner and I stayed here for a week and it was a really great stay! The location was accessible to public transportation, which, as a native New Yorker, was very helpful. You're only 45 minutes away from the Loop, and it never took me more than an hour to get anywhere. The room was spacious which let me relax at the end of the day. The wifi never had any problems. There's really yummy affordable food and groceries all around. My only criticism would be that the room gets very hot on warm sunny days, so perhaps the host would consider placing a portable fan in there. I'm also concerned about security, since you cannot lock the room from the outside and other boarders can come inside. But if you don't travel with many valuable items, that shouldn't be a problem.

  Ricardo's a great host, readily available at all times by phone should you have any questions. The room is just as advertised: very sunny, very large, and very zen. Neighborhood is very family-rich and multicultural. Great for the price. Would/will stay again.

  We had a pleasant stay at Ricardo's house. It's a quiet and lovely place. Ricardo is a cool host. There a several rooms for airbnb guests, a huge kitchen and living room and WiFi. Furthermore, the house is near 2 subway stations, which you can reach by bus or by foot. If we'll be again in Chicago, we will definitely stay again at Ricardo's place. To be recommended....

  So thankful to have found this place. I'm a single mom with a 1-year-old, and stayed in the Private Room with Skylights with my little one. Although the room only had a bed and chair, it ended up working to our advantage because my son had room to move around and play without harm. There is quite a large closet in the room with a shelf to store belongings, and a rod to hang clothes too. There are stairs right when you enter the condo, but if I could manage with a stroller, luggage and baby, you should be fine. Plus, the other house guests were super helpful, jumping in to help carry bags and introducing themselves right away. They were also very friendly and warm to my son. We definitely plan to be back in Chicago, and it would be great to stay again. Positive experience.

  This place is really awesome. We loved the room, the kitchen and the white color everywhere. We didn't meet Ricardo but he was the boss anyway!

  As other guests said, Ricardo's apartment is super clean. Also linens are fresh. Wi-Fi works well. Neighborhood is quiet and safe even in after dark. Other Guests were friendly and polite during my stay. I was able to sleep well. Public transportation system in Chicago is convenient and reliable, so you can go anywhere easily. I didn’t see Ricardo in person, but he gave every information I need by E-mail. He always replied to my questions quickly. I don't have any complaints. I recommend Ricardo's place everyone. Thanks Ricardo.

  Staying here was a fantastic experience. I had the opportunity to meet myriad unique individuals, from all over the world. That alone is worth the nominal price of the room. Bed was comfortable and clean, coming in at late hours wasn't an issue and the host is a friendly, intelligent, motivated individual who I'll be keeping in touch with for future business endeavors.

  Ricardo was very helpful all the times, since my arrival (he give me specific instructions on how to arrive to his place) and the time I've been there. The house was all the time clean and very comfortable. Great to be there. The neighborhood is quite and nice, very much.

  Ricardo's place is located in a quiet neighborhood. The room, common space, and bathroom was clean and tidy. The bed had a clean comforter and sheets. The room did not have any other furniture. One thing to note is the fact that there are likely other guests staying in the same unit. As a light sleeper, I woke up several times in the night due to other guests returning and using the kitchen/facilities. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay and very economical choice.

  My boyfriend and I had a great time living in Ricardo's apartment! we had a great time with the others who lived there at the same time, they are all young nice people, we share our expirence exploring Chicago. Irving Park area is nice neighborhood, it is convinent to dinning and shopping by driving, it is also very convinent to take pubilc transportant, and it has Chinese resturants nearby! I strongly recommend you to live there!
