Hello,
This boat is actually in Sausalito---Latitude 37.51.38, Longitude 122.28.28, to be exact---an incredibly beautiful town just over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. I posted it in SF as it is an excellent alternative to SF accommodations, and Sausalito is a beautiful compliment to San Francisco--a must see for every visitor to SF.
My new boat, the “Chalet du Bay 2” (actually name "Rebellion")is a very spacious 37-foot yacht anchored in Sausalito’s Richardson Bay. Enjoy 360-degree views of San Francisco, Sausalito, The Golden Gate, Angel Island, Belvedere and Strawberry! Row, Kayak, Bicycle Sausalito and, fish and barbeque on the deck. See seals, flocks of a wide variety of birds and other wildlife, enjoy the cleansing summer breeze! Row to the beaches and through the houseboat marinas!
Located a beautiful and enjoyable five-ten minute row (I can--sometimes-- arrange for power boats to take you back and forth for a nominal additional fee if you don't want to row) offshore from the middle of the liveliest section of Sausalito. A one-minute walk to the café’s and restaurants, a five-minute walk to the ferry, beaches and parks.
Accommodations: This boat, "Rebellion" Has a forward v berth that sleeps two, a bunk bed that sleeps two and converts to a large sofa, a sitting area that converts to sleep two, and a love seat that converts to sleep two more. It has a gas marine barbeque and a sort of solarium with folding french doors (This is where the love seat is. You literally don't have to move your head off your pillow to see the views!). 360 degree views of San Francisco, Belvedere, Angel Island, Sausalito, Strawberry. Seals and birds all around. Both the boat and location are beautiful and comfortable!
Nice sheets, blankets and pillows and i-pod/i-phone player included. Sleep under the stars on the bay during the summer! I-Pod/I-Phone player (bring extra AA batteries). There are solar and battery powered lights and many candles. There is a private bathroom where one can bath either by heated water or unheated solar shower, which you can also fill with warm water, etc.
Alternatively, you can drive a couple miles to Joseph Smith's Spa on Almonte in Mill Valley... A local, and guest of mine wrote the following about it "open every day 10am to late...$10/per person gets you a half hour for a shower & private jacuzzi hot tub...sweet! Joseph is a sweetheart and a Mill Valley institution.."
Plenty of safe and secure parking next to the skiff used for transport to and from shore.
Must be sufficiently strong to row for five to ten minutes (depending on the direction the wind is blowing). Provided is a nine-foot fiberglass skiff that can accommodate three adults and baggage, life jackets and oars.
Many cafe's and the library in close walking distance to check email and the like.
--Small motor boat--sometimes available-- to bring you to and from shore for a nominal fee.
--The rental will shortly include the use of two bicycles.
Discounts for extended stays and compelling stories.
Please note that the doorman is actually a seal or two that swim around the boat and occasionally sleep on the swim platform (and in the skiff from time to time...seal charming suggestions provided at check in), the gym is the row in and out, the washer/dryer is the bay and ocean breeze respectively, the pool is also the bay, the air conditioning is also the ocean breeze (thermostatically controlled via port holes and windows), and inclusion of breakfast is contingent upon whether or not you catch anything! (Fishing poles provided, worms on shore).
