Unique Houseboat in Downtown Boston

  we really enjoyed the boat experience, waking up and getting asleep in the calm ambiance of the marina. we hired a car in boston and there was a safe parking nearby, not too expensive either. I am sure we could have done without a car as well. There are nice deli's and tavern/restaurant/bar which makes the area easy to stay in. Marcia's team was helpful and reactive whenever needed (twice). Security was not an issue AT ALL. Things to be improved: gas stove (not functioning), internet access (one access allowed per each boat) and kitchen ustensils (not enough forks and spoons and knifes for families)

  We had a blast! The location couldn't be more perfect. there were four of us and the space was just right. It was nice to be able to sightsee all day and return to the peaceful rest of the houseboat and the beautiful views and feeding the ducks... I know, you're not supposed to but they are so used to it. We thought the price was right for what we had and what we had was just perfect for us. We brought bikes and used them a lot to get around but also used the free tour bus for the historic sites. We had somewhat of an odor when we first arrived; said something to the people handling the marina and they took care of it immediately so we can't say enough about the prompt service. If you read any of the reviews about odor, etc., contact the owners,,, someone turned something off that should have been left on and there was a flood but all was repaired, replaced and it was absolutely fine! Thank you! Will be back!

  We booked the Taurus , The TV and Internet did not work. The bathroom door would not close. Sickening odor inside boat. But after complaining we were moved to the boat called "The White Elephant". This boat was awesome. No complaints.

  The outside space on the Taurus is nice and the queen bed comfortable. Otherwise, the Taurus house boat needs a lot of work before it is suitable for renting.

  Nous (2 couples de français) avions réservé ce bateau depuis la France pour 2 nuits. Le descriptif et les photos sur le site ne correspondent que partiellement aux prestations que nous avons trouvées à notre arrivée. La localisation est trés bonne, il est facile d'aller dans le quartier historique de Boston. Par contre, le bateau n'était pas propre, et son entretien général laisse à désirer : moquette mouillée, porte de salle de bain cassée, la télévision ne marchait pas, pas d'accés à inernet, propreté trés douteuse, trés peu de vaisselle (3 couteaux !!!), 2 chaises à l'intérieur alors que la capacité du bateau est de 6 personnes !! Le propriétaire nous a proposé de changer de bateau et d'aller sur le KON TIKI (quai à côté) ce que nous avons fait croyant à une nette amélioration. Il en a rien été, mauvais entretien, une des deux toilettes ne fonctionnaient pas et l'autre mal. Nous avons donc été trés déçus bien que nous pensons que l'idée d'un hébergement sur un bateau, est trés intéressante, amusante, et originale. Il y a peut etre d'autres propriétaires plus soucieux du bien être de leurs clients. Daniel, Sylvie, Michèle, Bernard

  My friends had a phenomenal stay on the Borealis. It was clean and bright with high ceilings, European decor, and well-stocked. The contacts at SleepAfloat were on top of the reservation and responded to all emails and calls promptly. All in all, great experience.

  This was our first experience on a houseboat. It was quite relazing, the view was wonderful. We stayed on the Taurus?Newly Renovated Houseboat. It was easy to get to and from without difficulty.   From the booking process to the actual reservation, this was a 5+ experience! Marcia was very responsive and everything was just as she said it would be. The house boat itself is immaculate and has everything you will need. We were 5 guests and truly enjoyed our stay here, perfect! The location where the boat is docked could not be better. You are in the heart of the best part of Ft. Lauderdale and so close to everything. Do not hesitate, book it and enjoy!

  We spent a glorious weekend on the boat. We couldn't have had better weather or a more relaxed weekend. I rented the boat for myself, my husband and 2 adult sons for my sister's wedding in Boston. The wedding was Friday night so we got to the boat in time to change and go to the wedding. On Saturday, my extended family joined us on the boat for brunch. Everyone relaxed and enjoyed the space. We walked around the navy yard which is quiet and residential. We visited the Constitution and the Naval Destroyer. Enjoyed mama duck and her ducklings, cormorants, etc. I would definitely do it again. The master bed is great too. JJ was very helpful.

  Aries was terrific. The interior was immaculate and well stocked with sheets, towels, and kitchen supplies. We really enjoyed staying on the roof deck after exploring Baltimore. The legendary Sip & Bite is a short walk away. The folks on the neighboring boats were super-friendly. Marcia's directions for parking and entry were totally clear and easy to follow. I would recommend this unique home for your Charm City stay.

  A co-worker and I stayed here for a conference we attended and the houseboat was great! We were able to walk to the conference as well as the Liberty Bell and local shops and eateries with ease.

  A guest from England and I stayed afloat for three nights here. The weather was not cooperative at all, so we spent much more time on the houseboat than we had planned. However, we both noted how much better it was sipping a cup of tea there than in a hotel room! We could walk to the USS Constitution and the ferry Number 4 to Long Wharf downtown, and of course there was the free shuttle to North Station. JJ was very attentive and welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. My friend's English family were deeply impressed at the thought of a houseboat!

  Marcia sleepafloat was fabulous! The boat was fresh and clean and very "home-y". The pier that it was docked in was quiet and private. We enjoyed breakfast on the upper story deck each morning. When we came home one day to find that someone had parked in our space, we were able to reach Marcia right away and the space was cleared out for us within the half hour. I would definitely stay there again!

  Amazing stay - the boat was immaculate and brand new. Location very sweet and quiet - perfect for access to beach and restaurants. Would definetely do this again - houseboat experience was wonderful. Marcia was extremely helpful and very responsive.

  This houseboat is GREAT! My boyfriend and I just stayed for the weekend while visiting some friends in the area and it was super convenient to lots of bars and restaurants. Parking was easy and free as well! It was fun to be able to "host" our friends on the roof deck too! We didn't really know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised to find the boat stocked with sheets, towels, dishes and a hairdryer! The boat felt pretty spacious for 2 people and was tall enough for my 6'3" man to stand up inside...in most areas. The toilet was a little tricky since it was a different system than was outlined on the paperwork that came with the boat, but the maintenance man listed helped us out over the phone right away. Our only complaint would be that the water out of the taps smelled really bad. Kind of egg-y. You wouldn't want to drink it. So bring bottled water, but aside from that, I would definitely come back to Leo!
