Quiet / Ideal Manhattan Priv Room

We had a fantastic time at Evan's place. The location is just perfect, a couple of minutes walk from Central Park, Columbus Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue, which is full of great places for breakfast or brunch. Also you're a few minutes away from two well-connected metro / bus stops taking you all over Manhattan. Evan is a great host - attentive, helpful and - most importantly - relaxed :) Everything was very clean, bed very comfy and bedroom full of light and space where to hang clothes and keep luggage. Building is secured 24 hrs a day and concierge is also very helpful. If I had to change one thing, it would be our departure date! I hope to be back soon, Evan. Thanks for making our stay even more special.

Lovely little room in a fantastic location on the Upper West Side convenient to Lincoln Center, Central Park, Museums, etc. Evan was most helpful and the apartment was clean, quiet and very accomodating.The mattress was very comfortable and I slept like a log! I will definitely be back!

During our trip to NY we have been living in room of Evan's apartments. Everything was excellent! Evan is a friendly and opened host, location of apartments is ideal for tourists - near the Central Park in the heart of Manhattan in calm and safe district. We really enjoyed our visit to NY!

Evan's apartment was great! It's just 2 block from the nearest train and steps away from establishments. Evan was was also very helpful with places to visit, he even gave us tips for our DC travel which saved us alot of money. Cheers to Evan.

Evan's apt has great location, a few blocks away from subway 1,2,3. Also easy to get there from JFK. Evan gave me very good direction before I go to NY. It's so close to Central park and Museum of National History. Evan's gf and sister also helped us a lot on trip planning. The cat is cute and needs more diets. Evan even upgraded our room on the second night since two other girls also come stay . The only drawback of the apt is the street noise. But the noise is everywhere in Manhattan. Just get used to it.

The location is very convenient, right next to Central Park and a short walk from the Met, the Guggenheim, the Natural History Museum, etc. Two major subway lines are only a few blocks away. The room is small but cozy, with generous drawer space and a place to hang clothes. The bed is super-comfortable. There's some street noise at night, but I got used to it after a couple of days. Evan was very helpful whenever I needed anything, and he even invited me to the table when he had friends over for dinner. There was some complications with the next airbnb stay on my itinerary, and though things ended up working out anyway, Evan was very accommodating when it looked like I might not have a place to stay. Good people and a good base of operations for my visit to New York. The cat is buxom and adorable.

Evan was fantastic! He has a lovely space in a really great area and to top it off was a fantastic host. The process was 100% smooth from the beginning - we had a great spacious room, big comfortable bed, our own keys and most importantly were within walking distance of the Natural History Museum, Central Park, Smoke (awesome jazz bar), best bagel (really are the best bagels in NY!) and lots of superb restaurants (two streets away). Evan’s apartment is ideally located in a quiet, yet central neighborhood. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and the room with the bath is very large and convenient, and offers an ideal alternative for a hotel room. I would certainly stay there again when I come to NYC.

My friend and I stayed at Evan's new place in the Upper West Side for two nights. The apartment is located in a great neighborhood, just a few steps away from the subway and the park. Even though Evan moved a couple of weeks ago, the place was very organized and clean. Our room was small but comfortable. Evan is a great host, very responsive and respectful. His sister Elyse is very pleasant, and her cat Bobby is adorable! Thank you, Evan, for the delightful stay!

Evan's place is very spacious and conveniently- located. It took us about 5-10 min to walk to the closest subway station. The room was clean and we had our own bathroom which was very neat. Most of the time we were alone at the place besides the cat that lives with Evan and his roommate. Evan was very obliging. Even though he wasn't in town while we stayed at his place he checked on us through email and made sure we had everything we needed. One thing I have to say is that the room has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in :-) Overall our stay at Evan's place was a good experience. Thanks again!

My stay at Evan's place was exactly as described in the listing. The F train is very convenient - about a 5 min walk. The accommodations aren't anything fancy but comfortable. The mattress is heavenly! Because Evan and Elyse were both very busy, we were alone in the apt most of the time.

We (a couple) stayed in May 2011 3 nights at Evan´s apartment in Brooklyn, and had a great time! It was clean and comfortable, and Evan was a helpful Host! Thanks a Lot!

100% smooth transaction, from beginning to end! I stayed at Evan's place for 10 days, and I couldn't have been happier. This being my first airbnb experience, I had my concerns. But it was all for naught. The place was safe and clean, and the host was honest, responsive and all around a good guy. He even let me leave my suitcase there for a few days while I went out of town. The room itself is big for new york, and afforded plenty of privacy. That's not important to everyone, but it was important for me! I was worried that I'd feel uncomfortable staying in a stranger's apartment, but it wasn't an issue at all. We happened to be on completely different schedules, and our paths rarely crossed. Also the fact that it's a duplex really helps. Overall great experience. I highly recommend it!

Evan was wonderful from the moment we got there. From helping us to find a parking spot to helping us feel very comfortable in his home. We felt that Evan was a wonderful host and we couldn't have picked a better person to stay with while we were in Brooklyn.

5 stars for Evan. Super cozy, convenient place close to DUMBO and several Subway Stops for easy access to Manhattan. Evan was very helpful with local advice and didn't leave anything out!

Awesome host! Everything was great like Evan said it would be. He was extremely friendly, considerate, fun, respectful. Our room was prepared well, clean and with towels waiting for us. He changed our towels during the week so we get clean ones. I would stay with Evan once again when I come back to NYC!!

Thanks very much Evan! We ended up having the whole flat to ourselves for the last few days Which was really nice, although we were out all the time. The bed was the most comfortable one I had ever slept in! I now want one! It was easy to walk across the BB and it was near a riverside area called dumbo that was very nice. Easy to get to lower east side where cool bars are or walking 20 mins took you to down town Brookyn where the flea market is. If only it didn't rain so much! What happened to spring?

We stayed 11 nitghts at Evan's appartment. Evan was not there during our stay but his roommate, Hyden, help us with everthing we need. The apartment is nice and very well connected to Manhattan and Brooklyn by train. If we come back to NY, we'll repeat it. Very recommendable!
