Serene cabin in the Fingerlakes

We are no different from everyone else who's visited Sally's cabin, in that we wish it could've been a longer stay. It takes time to adjust to peace and solitude! We were just getting into the swing of it when it was time to leave. So, fond hopes that we will be able to return, next time in warmer weather so we'll be able to make more use of the outdoor portion of the cabin. The indoor part was just great, though, in particular you'll have a hard time finding ANYTHING made of plastic! And the views from the sleeping loft are beautiful.Thanks, Sally. All I can saw is WOW! If you are looking to escape your busy lifestyle and get back to nature...this is the place for you. My husband and I absolutely adored our 4 night stay at Sally's little piece of heaven. Her cabin provided us with everything we needed and then some. We got to meet Sally our first night there and she was very informative about places to visit and eat. We fell in love with the cabin and it's surroundings. I especially enjoyed the peaceful feeling I had as I sat and listened to the stream running beside the cabin. We can't wait to go back during the summer when we can enjoy the outdoors even more! Oh...I forgot to mention...the Sauna was fabulous! Thanks Sally for sharing your retreat with us and others!

This place was a PERFECT fall retreat. So many thoughtful and inspiring details--the cutest stove and oven on the planet, clawfoot tub on the screened-in porch, and wood-fired sauna. Sally is a lovely host and knows the area well. We definitely want to stay again. Thanks, Sally!

Sally is a wonderful host and her cabin is a serene, beautiful place to unwind and take in the sounds of nature and lovely surroundings. We were thoroughly impressed with everything, from the attention to detail given to the well-equipped cabin, to the linens, towels, natural soaps, etc. provided. The cabin is in a great location to enjoy the many amenities the Finger Lakes offer, including wineries/vineyards, hiking, forests, etc. We really didn't want to leave, and are looking forward to another visit soon!

We had a wonderful stay in Sally's cabin. It was well equipped with everything someone would need for their stay. I was impressed with how clean the cabin was and the quality of the linens/towels. Sally was very helpful. She even left detailed instructions on how to operate the cabin and had brochures on local attractions. Definetely plan to go back soon.

Great cabin near the vineyards and lake. Clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Next time we hope to visit when it is colder and can have a chance to try out the sauna that looks fantastic.

We loved this delightful little cabin tucked into quiet woods of the finger lakes. It's a perfect spot for those us refined yet rustic tastes. Sally is a wonderful and thoughtful host. We arrived late to the whistle of screech owls in the hollow below us; slept soundly in the warm and cozy loft; spent our morning sipping coffee around the campfire just off the porch. Perfect.

Sally is an astonishing friend and terrific host, and her cabin, without any exaggeration, is an oasis. The place is beautiful down to the last detail--the balcony is right up in the trees, the floors are pure art, and the outhouse beats any marble-tiled-gold-plated hotel bathroom anywhere. The place is small, but Sally is generous with both care and space; she makes sure the place is fully equipped, but she doesn't hover or intrude. It's just the place you'd want to be, and when you leave, you'll be planning your next trip back. Nice.

Sally is gem of a gal with a wealth of resources on all things cool. There when you need her and not when you need your privacy. The guest house is just a little ways away from hers but feels like acres away. The whole property buts up to a National forest which gives it an amazingly private fee. It’s a serene paradise like no other. The cabin was cozy & quaint and has a screened in outdoor shower facing the private ravine that borders the property. During the course of our stay there we had dinner together a few nights and filled the place with the smell of great food, zydeco music and laughter. Truly a good time. Sally is a world traveler, musician and avid gardener. Very easy going and a real pleasure to be around. I’ll be back again this summer.
