The neighborhood

Angel is an eclectic neighbourhood, famous for its nightlife and collection of iconic local pubs, stylish cocktails bars, renowned international restaurants and upmarket, boutique shopping. One of the most in-demand places to live in London, this safe and eco-friendly neighbourhood is also popular with celebrities – Emma Watson, Boris Johnson, James McAvoy, Colin Firth and Lily Allen are all famous faces that have called this vibrant area home in the last few years.

Yet despite it’s amazing reputation and convenient Zone 1 location, the area still has a relaxed, trendy atmosphere. Angel is frequented by local Londoners, with fewer tourists, so you can enjoy an authentic London experience with the luxury of being close to London’s attractions if you wish to explore the city.

The apartment is extremely close to many restaurants, shops, supermarkets and ATMs.

•There are 10 coffee shops within 20 metres
•There is a shopping centre 100 metres away
•There are 3 supermarkets within 50 metres
•There is a 24/7 convenience store just next door

The apartment is located on Upper Street, an extremely accessible location for all of Central London, North, South, East or West and with unbeatable transport links.

Angel tube station and Highbury-Islington tube station are both 5 minutes walk away and there is a bus stop right outside the apartment. You can even rent bicycles from automatic stations nearby.

There is public (pay and display) parking for your car, should you chose to drive into London. You can park on the street, or a nearby indoor carpark. However, we recommend public transport instead, as it’s far easier and quicker to explore London in this way.

•Oxford Street (15 minutes)

•Regent’s Park (20 minutes)
•British Museum (20 minutes)
•Old Street and Silicone Roundabout (10 minutes)
•St Paul’s Cathedral (20 minutes)
•Shoreditch (15 minutes)
•Westminster (30 minutes)
•West End (30 minutes)
•Southbank (30 minutes)

Getting to the apartment from the airport is easy using public transport (tube, train or bus) but it’s more economical to hire a private taxi if you have a lot of luggage or many guests. I will give you the information to book this.

This location was perfect. Close to tube and many great restaurants/shops/groceries. Very clean and plenty of bedding/towels. the bathroom was very small and tight. The tiny shower would spray past the glass wall even when you stood outside waiting for right temp. The terrace was only accessible by crawling out the bedroom window! We never used it. This flat is actually 3 flights up (2 over the restaurant below) . The flat is much smaller then it looks in pics. Kitchen was well equipped and nice. The dryer feature on the washer never really dried clothes, but we learned that's normal for UK -had to use dry racks(provided)

Thank you for your review and feedback. I'm glad you loved the location and the apartment. For clarity, the apartment is presented with up to date pictures, it's size and also a floorplan, and it's presented correctly as a 2nd floor- UK second floor is 2 levels above street level, (i know the US this is called 3rd floor). We do offer bigger units for bigger groups and others on lower levels, and accept bigger groups in small apartments for short stays too. There is a washing machine and no dryer is offered- rightly there's radiators and racks for eco and quick drying of clothes. The shower has the latest thermostatic valve one for pressure and another for temperature- we know things are different from country to country and we even provide an complete instructions manual for all things in the unit. I'm very glad to assist and ask guests to run any questions during their stay so i can assist in real-time. I'm glad you found the apartment well equipped.

This is a small but comfortable little flat which is very well located in the heart of Upper Street. Many nice restaurants & boutiques are found close by and several buses for going downtown can be found on the opposite side of the street. The flat is well equipped, and perfect for 2-3 adults who wants to explore London for a few days.

This is a great flat in a great location. It is ideally suited for 2 to 3 people, though we managed a family with 3 smallish children. Paolo was very welcoming and dealt with any minor things we raised promptly. A positive experience.

First of all the location was great. 10 mins to Highbury & Islington and 15 to Angel. Both of which connects to majors stations and lines quickly to get across London in a breeze. The vibe in upper street is also very nice compared to some other neighborhoods I have visited. A convenience store was literally a few steps from the house for you to be able to purchase snacks or drinking water. As I was staying for 11 days, doing laundry and getting them dry was very important but the dryer was down even though it was listed as an amenity. Spoke to host about it but was only offered drying rack solution and was told that they mean the dryer listed to be the hair dryer and not clothes. No polite apology or anything there. Clearly that can't be my fault. This was one of my key decision factors in deciding between a few units so I was hugely disappointed. There was a preexisting problem with the boiler which was brought up to them few days in and they fixed it closer to the end of the first week. Generally the place would be good for 2-3 people on a short stay in London, longer stays might be a challenge if there is much luggage because the apartment is not huge.

Originally from Southern Europe, and now living mainly in London, and sometimes in Hong Kong and Bali, I strive to make my properties the most accommodating in the area of town where I live myself- what I found to be the best !

As a seasoned traveler myself, I understand the importance of the comfort of home as well as an adventurous experience in a new city. I combine both of these to ensure a positive, memorable experience for all of my guests.

I enjoy traveling, great food, and vibrant atmospheres and want to share that with others through our property locations. These locations are all minutes away from my friends and my favourite restaurants, bars, and shopping areas. We really love it here and know you will too!

I look forward to welcoming you !
