Looking for some very fun Super Bowl guests. $250/single or $450 for double. Minimum 3 night stay.

I purchased 4,600 square foot Rookwood Manor (the name I've given it) as a foreclosure 2 years ago. It's an amazing old home with lots of history on a fenced-in double corner lot.

My home is definitely a work-in-progress, so if you are looking for a posh 4 star resort, this isn't your place. However, if you want an extremely comfortable home in a great location, have pets or enjoy pets, then give it a try.

My old house needs some TLC, but it's extremely livable and, as stated above, comfortable. Outside, there is beautiful garden space with a small fountain, a small outdoor fire pit and plenty of room for dogs to play. Inside, there is a large front porch, beautiful dining room with some unique architecture, a large living room with fireplace and a very cozy sleeping porch off the back of the 2nd story. I'll have some local beer and wine on hand for a nice drink upon your arrival or to wind up your day.

There are 2 1/2 baths to the house. The guest bathroom would actually be shared with my roommate, Joe, who is not around a lot and easy to get along with. The jacuzzi tub is huge, and I'm still not sure how they got it in the house. Regardless, it makes for a great shower also.

The basement, which is the Mancave in progress, has a foosball table and two old arcade style video games, PacMan and Astroids. I grew up a gamer, and I still love 'em. I do have wireless internet, so if you have a computer, I can give you the code. If you need a computer, there may be one available.

If you are a Harley rider, I have a 2008 Anniversary Sportster, which I would entertain renting. I will also consider taking individuals out on Harley rides if interested. If you are in need of transportation, I'm willing to negotiate, either by car rental or pick-ups and/or drop-offs, airport included.

If you have a dog or two, I simply ask that all shots be up-to-date, and I would ask to see that paper work. I also require a flea preventative. My pets are very well maintained and also well traveled. I've even rescued two from Puerto Rico. They are very use to other animals, and some evenings in the summer, neighbors might see us out by the fire with 7 dogs of friends and/or neighbors running around. If you will be away from the house quite a bit and your 'kids' need attention, I'll be happy to work something out if I'm able to do so. I also have dog crates available for use.

Rookwood Manor is 6 miles from Lucas Oil Stadium (home to the Colts) and beautiful downtown Indianapolis, 19 miles from Indianapolis International Airport, 7 miles from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 3 blocks from Butler University (great for families coming to see their kids or for special events) and close to many other great locations in Indy.

Please consider coming to be my guest. Be sure to read my full profile. I have much experience traveling and tour directing. You'll have a great place to stay and a very experienced host to make sure your stay in Indy will be one to remember.

  • I had a great stay at Jerry's home! This was my first time using AirBnB as a guest and Jerry was very easy to communicate with via the AirBnB site as well as texting. I was able to keep him posted on the progress of my drive and my estimated time of arrival throughout the day. After a 10 hour drive, Jerry and his four-pawed friends (all six of them!) met me with a much appreciated glass of wine. I got a tour of the house, which Jerry is in the process of renovating. It is just as Jerry describes it in his write-up - a work in progress. That said, my room was very comfortable and clean with fresh sheets, hanging space, good lighting, convenient shelf for alarm clock and phone charging by the bed, etc. The bathroom was directly across the hall. As an architectural interior designer, I loved walking through and seeing the potential of the rooms and listening to Jerry's plans for each. There is a wonderful sleeping porch nicely furnished next to the bedroom and outside there is a very calming serenity garden, perfect place to sit and enjoy the evening. Jerry couldn't be more accommodating if he tried. The location is very convenient to Butler University, just a block or two away and a couple miles to Broad Ripple, with easy access to downtown Indianapolis as well. If you are visiting the university, you can't get closer than this - and if you are a dog lover, you will be in heaven!

  • About: I'm an extremely outgoing 40-year-old who refuses to grow up. I love livin' life to the fullest and thrive on making connections and meeting new people. I grew up in a town of 300 in IN, but I got bit by the travel bug at age 20 and haven't stopped since. I've hit 29 countries and plan to keep on going. I love animals and have rescued more than 10 dogs and 2 cats. Currently, I have 3 dogs. I enjoy running, biking and riding on my Harley. I'm a degreed professional that works at Butler University, home of the nationally recognized Bulldogs from the last 2 final four seasons. I once "worked' as a Tour Director for a private travel club, taking people on journeys to different parts of our beautiful world and planned many fun activities and excursions to add to the experience. I also owned and operated a small eco-tourism company in Puerto Rico for 3 years. Needless to say, I know how to take care of my guests and will assist on making your stay in Indy an extremely memorable one. I am a gay man, so, obviously, gay friendly travelers only please. It doesn't define me, but it is definitely part of who I am.
