About this listing

The space

This spacious double bedroom provides room to study. In the heart of Jericho, close walking distance to rail station, bus station, university facilities and pubs and shops. Shared bathroom and kitchen.

The study bedroom comfortably fits a couple in the double bed.

Guests can access the shared bath and kitchen. You are welcome to 'make yourself at home' and prepare food while you are here, or do a load of laundry. There is a shared wireless printer which guests are welcome to use for travel/business reasons in the lounge.

When I am home I am more than happy to provide advice and support, but I am often not at home (especially at evening meal times) and I completely understand if you want me out of your hair. Unless otherwise indicated, I will be sleeping in the flat during your stay.

Jericho is a wonderful little neighbourhood, with pubs, shops and families all closely snuggled in together.
In the summer there are beautiful canal walks to Port Meadow and a number of pubs and restaurants with outdoor eating.
In the winter, I am one block from a pub with a roaring fire and cozy board games.

Public transport is easy, private parking not so much. The flat is an easy 10 minute walk from Oxford rail station along the canal, and also and easy 10 minutes from Gloucester Green coach station. A taxi anywhere in city centre is usually about £5.
'The airline' coach runs a good service between Heathrow and Gatwick.
Depending on your length of stay it is safer for your car to leave it at one of the city's park and rides. On street parking is available, but in limited supply and very fiddly if you want to keep costs down.

Eliot the cat lives here as much as I do. We both stay out of the guest room, but if you have allergies be aware.

It is a good place for two people to stay. Minutes away from Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford and University Parks. Close to city centre. Nice bed and Elliot is amazing :D.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Clean and quiet. We walked either to the bus station or to all of the sights in central Oxford. Highly recommended.

Pros: Good location, decent price Cons: Bathroom vent hadn't been cleaned in years. Shower curtain was cheap- Magnets did not adhere to the inside of the tub and constantly blew in taking up most of the shower space, I don't think 5 pounds to invest in a decent curtain would break the bank. Never met Stephanie, her boyfriend Cliff was quite a socially awkward person.

Stephanie's flat is lovely and well suited to a short weekend break in Oxford. It is perfectly situated in Jericho - a great area of Oxford filled with cute streets and yummy restaurants. It is a great place to stay for a more relaxed weekend trip to Oxford, as it is out of the main tourist areas and in the more residential area. The room itself is large and has plenty of room to sleep and to study (if you needed to). The shared bathroom is also well sized and the shower was good. Eliot is a friendly cat so enjoy giving him lots of cuddles when he visits your room. Thanks so much for having us!!

It was a great stay at Stephanie's. The host was very friendly and the room was also very clean. They have a lovely cat, who is not afraid of anyone and just wants to cuddle.
