Lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath Victorian flat (built in 1883) located in the heart of the Castro, within steps of the neighborhood's world-famous bars, restaurants, and shopping.

Entire unit freshly painted in Victorian colors; hardwood floors with plush area rugs. Newly furnished living room and bedroom and bedding.

Private room with queen sized bed, 46" flat screen HDTV, sitting area with 2 armchairs. Very quiet, set away from Castro Street.

The Living room parlor with its own large flat-screen HDTV, cable, DVR, decorated in warm colors and comfy furniture; Charming eat-in kitchen (fully-equipped); and bathroom. Sitting area outside kitchen for morning coffee, or for smokers to enjoy. Continental breakfast (rich local coffee and pastries) provided by the host. (the only other occupant in the home is the host himself)

Just steps away from all local transportation: MUNI bus on corner, 2 blocks from MUNI Metro (underground) station, 2 blocks from historic F-Line streetcar.

Enjoy all the pleasures of the bustling Castro District from the comfort of your "home away from home." Just around the corner is Spike's Coffee & Teas. It is listed as one of the top five coffee houses in the city. It is privately owned. Great place to hang out with the local people and enjoy the outside seating. The baristas are very knowledgeable about blends of teas as well as their coffees. Next door is the Castro Village Wine Co., specialist in Premium California Wines, featuring their own tasting bar. Wine tasting can be anytime, but Friday, Saturday, & Sunday they offer special tastings. Less than 2 blocks away is the historic Castro Theatre, San Francisco's Art Deco-era movie palace---it screens classics, art & international films, and renowned film festivals including the SF International Film Festival, Film Noir Festival, SF Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, Silent Film Festival, and many others year round. And of course, there's a plethora of restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs to explore, all within easy walking distance.

My guests have asked about parking; "Where in the world may I park in your area?" It is this simple: It would be alongside my home or it may be in front of the drive. You would be using my parking space as I can park all around the area. You would have parking without worry. I will be happy to move your car for you. I would like a small fee of $15.00 a day to use my parking spot. We can list it under advanced pricing page.

I always look forward to my guests staying any length of time. I do have to make a request that for special times of the year, such as the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, & Labor & Memorial Day weekends, I need to ask that the minimum stay be three days, as it is a special time of year. The price does not change one penny, the length of stay is set at a minimum, if you choose to stay longer, that is fine.

  • This was my first AirBnB experience. Geo was the perfect host. Very friendly and helpful. His house has a warm and cosy atmosphere, and the neighborhood is quite special (and very safe). I had a very good time staying at Geo's place! He made me feel at home.

  • Geo was a great host. He was very helpful with providing tips on where to go and what to see. Breakfast was delicious. He made home-made sourdough bread, a fresh fruit salad, coffee and there was an assortment of cold cereal, including a yummy granola mix from a local co-op. The location was excellent, just a few blocks from the F-line. The room was very comfortable and included a huge t.v. Geo also has a lovely garden out back.

  • Geo's place is superbly located in a great part of San Francisco. Public transport is nearby (easy access to the airport etc), as are shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. Geo's place itself is a wonderfully welcoming space, the bed comfortable and the bedroom tastefully decorated with all the comforts needed. The rest of the home was also really nice, and on a sunny morning, the lovely garden was a great place for breakfast. Last but not least, Geo is a great host, welcoming and friendly, who takes great care of his guests.

  • We were thoroughly pleased with our stay at Geo's Place. The location is amazing. Walk out the front door and you are steps to everything the Castro has to offer. Fresh fruit, muffins etc were terrific in the morning. The backyard is a true oasis from the city... so many thriving plants and a great little spot to sit and relax... we did so with an oakey chardonnay, some fresh baked bread and extra sharp cheddar... Lovely time all around!

  • Hi Geo, thanks for your help during my stay. I went to "under one roof", and found out the store is the same one I shopped last time! I bought a lot again from there :) My stay with Geo was wonderful . I stayed only 2nights and I was bit worried since I was alone hanging around SF, but Geo made me forget about my worry. He brought me up to twin peaks to see the wonderful SF view and explained a lot about the city which I have not expected from the air bnb host. I was so lucky to stay with him. HIs house is very comfortable, room is nicely decorated and bed is so comfy. It was a greatest choice to stay with him who is very kind, happy, warm and lots of hospitality. Thanks Geo, and I will stay your place again If I go back to SF again :)

  • Uff!!! Great, wonderful, amazing,... all adjetives are few to say something about the place and the owner. Geo was very very kind with us (and with our English). The situation is pefect and Geo is almost perfect... because nobody is perfect. Our best regards, kisses and love for you, Geo. Javi y Lorenzo.

  • I loved my stay with Geo! Geo's place is like a refuge in the heart of the Castro. The home is decorated in warm and soothing colors. The garden space out back is lush and inviting. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. I was able to come and go as I pleased and had the privacy I wanted. The bathroom is shared space, but that wasn't a problem at all. Geo provided plenty of towels for my personal use. Geo also made delicious treats that went way above and beyond anything any other Airbnb host have done for me. I hope to stay with Geo again when I return to SF in the fall.

  • Before we made our reservations with Geo I read other guests reviews. One guest said that Geo was the best thing about San Francisco and I thought, "Puh-leeze! That's a bit over the top!" It's true. Our stay would have been much poorer had we stayed somewhere else. Geo is friendly, sincere, open, funny. We laughed together, shared stories. He gave us as much privacy as we wanted and participated as much as we wanted. A genuine host, in every sense of the word. When I left SF I truly felt I was leaving behind an old friend, not a person I had just met a week earlier. I will miss him, heck, I already do. His home is clean, the breakfast he prepared each day was delicious. He told us of great places to go and how to get there. The bed was so comfortable. His home is decorated beautifully. DO NOT hesitate to stay with him. He's one in a million. I love you Geo!

Geo was welcoming from the very start of our mini San Francisco holiday. It was an absolute pleasure to meet him and learn about the cirty. He is warm and considerate and will always recommend the best places in town, from a local's perspective. The room is exactly as pictured. Warm, comfortable and clean. The fresh pastries for breakfast in the morning made us grateful that San Fran is a city for walking as they were absolutely delicious! :) Geo goes above and beyond what is expected from a host and we would have no doubt recommending his home in the heart of the Castro :) I'm sure we'll see him again soon :) Thanks Geo!!

  • We definitely have a lot of fantastic memories to keep but we were talking today about our favorite memory of San Francisco and both agree it was staying with Geo in his beautiful home. A great guy, a fantastic host and a truely welcoming home, we just wish that we could have stayed longer! If you want to stay in a place that truely feels like home, from the comfortable bed, beautiful surroundings and delicious home made muffins for breakfast ;), with the amenities of a great hotel than this is the place to be. Geo took his time to explain to us all the details about the city and the places to go, how to get there, etc. nothing was too much trouble for him! We can't wait to go back! Castro's a fantastic place :)

  • About: I enjoy a good laugh, at myself, which is easy to do, and life in general. I love food, and am great at creating dishes. Enjoy good wine and locally brewed beer. I have always been in the hospitality business. In my career I have been a bartender, private chef, Country Club Manager, house cleaner, and caregiver to older gay men who have lost all family ties---and have been honored to be there for them in the last days of their life journey. I am always on an adventure. Enjoy hearing about people's travels and life styles. It stands to good reason why you would enjoy staying in my home: it is a warm and caring place. San Francisco is a wonderful place to be whoever you want to be! I do not look down on how people enjoy their lives as long as they respect themselves, and me as well as my home. My dear friends are quick to inform me that "Endora" may find it hard to get out of the closet...Little do they know I was never in one!...grin. So, "Laissez les bons temps rouler"...let the good times roll! I look forward to having you in my home, and having you feel welcome. Geo
