Racer's retreat

I had a great time at Racer's Retreat. The house is a turn of the century beauty in the process of being restored. The room was comfortable and spacious. I much appreciated Allen and Emma's friendly approach to me as a guest. The food was great. I would stay there again. Jim

Way cozier than a hotel! Spacious bedroom and upscale amenities (Burt's Bees toiletries and chocolate on the pillow) make this feel more like a resort stay than just a place to sleep. Emma and Alan are pleasant hosts who are more than happy to chat with you or let you go your own way. A great location to stop at if you need to drive the San Diego/L.A. to Portland/Seattle route.

I have stayed at the Racer's Retreat several times over the last few years. Emma and Alan are friendly, fun, and incredibly thoughtful. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The food is always delicious and abundant. There is also a large garden that produces TONS of amazing organic produce in the summertime. This is definitely a place to kick back, relax, and enjoy.

I have known Emma for 6 years. We worked together for 3 years at a previous job. Emma and Alan are incredibly hospitable, caring, wonderful people! Emma is a tremendous cook! I have a laundry list of food allergies and Emma was able to cook an amazing meal for me. The guest bedrooms are in their own section of the house which provides privacy. They have 3 dogs which stay downstairs and away from the guest rooms. I highly recommend staying with Emma and Alan!

We stayed here during a Lemons race weekend. Convenient to the track but in a quiet neighborhood. Emma's a baker [yum] and Alan's a racer with a repair shop nearby. Easy going couple. They have 3 rescue dogs [including 3-legged Sadie]. Don't stay here if you're allergic to dogs.
