  There are a number of rooms available in this house. I had the queen-size bed which is downstairs. This bedroom also had a small sitting area attached and a private entry. (The other rooms had a common entry.) The place is very clean and tidy with good facilities. It's also very close to public transport, shops etc. The only downside was that this room was downstairs of the upstairs lounge and at night-time and early in the morning it was quite noisy from the people upstairs walking around and talking. Also the water pipes seem to run through the wall of the bedroom and they were also quite noisy.

  Mai Lodging is very clean. It is also pretty quiet. Mai and her husband were friendly and kind. Yes, I would definitely stay there again.

  Home was very clean and i felt very welcomed. It was definitely better than my last hotel stay in Vancouver. The other housemates were also polite and i had no problems at all. The host was very courteous and i would definitely stay again.

  Felt home-like in the way it was comfortably furnished and very clean; easy to commute downtown once you get the hang of it. Best of all, the hosts themselves are hospitable and genuine. Made my stay in Vancouver a pleasant one.

  We had a good stay,with a comfortable bed and the house was very quiet, so we slept good. The host was also very accommodating. The location is perfect for sightseeing and all in all a good experience.

  I loved staying at Mai's Lodging. I had the Queen Bed room for two but my GF ended up not being able to come with me so I had the room to myself. The room was clean and tidy. Every need was provided for including small refrigerator. Very convienent.

  not a bed and breakfast. but has everything there to cook and store your stuff in kitchen. take some coffee with you if you're a coffee drinker. macdonald's, td bank and esso convience store a 3 block walk if you need anything. liquor store/pub and organic food store a 5-10 block walk. very quiet and clean. worth the stay. we will stay again for sure.

  Mai and Ten are very friendly hosts, like all the people we met and inter react in Vancouver, unbelivable. Place is clean and quiet. Location is very convenient, close to the downtown bus. Good value for the price. Recommended!

  Guest house was tastefully decorated & clean. Mai & her family do not live there, however there were 2-3 other guests staying at the time. My interactions with Mai and her family throughout the process were friendly & professional. The location was convenient for me (approx 5-10 min drive to Commercial Drive) & there was parking available. If you are a woman traveling on your own, be prepared for the possibility to be staying alone in the house with unknown men. I was the only woman staying during my 6 day stay. Each room has it's own lock & is secure.

  I rented Room 3 which has a single bed, TV that works, and wireless. It rented for $37 a night which is really a bargain. Mai's description was accurate and the picture of the room is accurate. The room and sheets were clean. The room is close to the bathroom and kitchen, but I hardly ever heard anyone in either the bathroom and kitchen, so it didn't bother me. Even though Mai's house is not in downtown Vancouver, it is close to a bus stop that goes to downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. If you are looking for a bargain, I highly recommend Mai's house.

  We stayed here when we first moved to Vancouver and it was a good location for getting around and looking at apartments. The house is less than five min from various buses to downtown, and Stanley park etc. but we mostly walked to Nanaimo skytrain, which was about a 15 min walk. The house is very clean, although you are sharing with other guests at the same time. The only problem was if you needed to take a shower first thing, you would mostly be waiting in line and likely having a cold shower if you were last. The house is beautiful, and the free laundry, cable and wi-fi are a huge bonus! We would recommend Mai Lodging to others.

  Good value for the price. There can be many renters staying there at the same time, as they have 10 rooms that they rent out. So be prepared that you might have to be a little flexible when using the common areas. Having a kitchen we can use helped us save some money by not having to eat out for every meal, but you have to buy your own basic pantry items like oil, salt and pepper. Everyone was good at cleaning up after themselves most of the time during our stay, but I would recommend rewashing the dishes and cutlery before using them. For some reason there were people playing with fire crackers in the park beside the house every night of our stay. It's quite loud if you like to sleep with the windows open. Overall a good experience.

  The house is very nice and clean, there are computers in the rooms with wireless internet. The kitchen has all equipment. The owners are very kind and helpful. It´s in a quiet neighborhood. It´s easy to get to the downtown. You just take a bus, it´s a minute walk from the house and in half an hour you are in the downtown. The bus goes every 10 min. I can recommend this place.
