Modern Cottage in Historic BoKaap

We enjoyed our stay with Ariana and Andrew. The location is good, close to town but still quiet with a few cool restaurants and bars close by. They're very friendly and directions were spot on and easy! Room and bed is comfortable. Cape Town is great of course.

Ariana and her husband, Andrew, are very cool people with a great place in Cape Town. This was the first time I rented a "shared place" with others, but it was a great experience. I was with a friend and we both thought the room was big, bright, sunny, with very comfortable beds. They left guidebooks of Cape Town out which was great, and told us we could help ourselves with anything in the kitchen. This was a very nice gesture. The house is in an amazing location in Cape Town, and my friend and I felt very safe and secure. It's a very great value for the money!

Ariana and Andrew (and their 2 dogs) were very accommodating hosts. We arrived in Cape Town 2 hours late and they waited for us. We also had a last minute addition to our group, and they managed to squeeze in our friend. They were a cool couple, and talked to them for a while before heading out for dinner. I didn't see them because I left earlier than my friends, but my friends had kind words for them. Their place was tastefully decorated. Everyone was happy with the house (and probably just because we were not inside a car). The house is within the historic area of BoKaap and the houses/establishments around are painted in different colors (good for photo ops). It is close to Long Street were there are a lot of bars and restaurants (walking distance), and also the market for souvenirs. On our way home, we just chilled in Brewers Union on Church St. and had a fine dinner at Five Flies. Both good places. If we had more days to spare, we would definitely stay at their place. I highly recommend their place.

What a lovely young couple! They both made me feel completely at home from the moment of arrival. An excellent choice for people seeking a relaxed atmosphere in a choice location.

Ariana and Andrew were excellent hosts. The location is fantastic - close to long street, the waterfront and it's an easy drive over the hill to get to the beach. I highly recommend both place and people.

Cool place in a nice neighbourhood. Very welcoming hosts. Good security, and mosque nearby so people are often around at night. Nice cafes and views of table mountain literally around the corner.

Andrew and Ariana were very welcoming from the moment we first enquired about their cute cottage. From the night we arrived, they have been truly great hosts, making us feel at home at once. We really gained new friends in these two weeks! The house itself is very nice, airy and light, in the historic Bo-Kaap. Recommended!

One of my favourite places to stay, period. Cannot recommend the home or people highly enough. Excellent location and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when needed. They could not have been kinder or more helpful.

What a great time! Cape Town was lovely and Ariana and Andrew's house was perfectly situated. It was a short walk to downtown and I felt very safe in the neighborhood. The hosts went above and beyond to make me feel at home. I'd like to make another trip to Cape Town just to see them again.

What a great place Ariana and Andrew have - a great, quirky cottage within short walking distance to some great little cafes and bistros! (And an award-winning SPAR that is an experience in itself just down the road for great groceries!) If you're going a little further, then there's great taxi services - really cheap and reliable, and the Waterfront is literally up the road and 'round the corner! We both really enjoyed staying in their home; loved sitting in the courtyard with our morning coffee planning the day, and at the end of a busy evening, relaxing under the stars with a nighcap! The area is friendly too - everyone says hello as you walk up the street - and the houses and cottages are so colourful that there is a continuous stream of tourist around taking photos... Open your blinds in the morning, and the view of the mountain is amazing, with or without it's table-cloth! Ariana was there to meet us despite us being slightly late - and showed us around. It's such an easy place to stay - well, if you discount us not being able to arm or disarm the alarm properly (sorry Ariana!), but that's down to listening to how to do it!

I've been a few times to Cape Town and Ariana's cottage is the best accommodation I have found so far. The cottage feels homely, welcoming and pleasant to the eye, and is a great base to explore Cape Town and its surroundings, with all major axes easily accessible by car and most nice neighbourhoods on foot. What's more, Ariana is a great host. She was extremely available and accommodating with our needs, yet perfectly respectful of our privacy/independence in using the house. I definitely recommend the cottage and will go back if I have a chance.
