  This apartment is in a great location! The neighborhood is safe and there are all sorts of shops, cafes, and restaurants near by. It is also very close to a metro stop. Franck was kind and responsible host. He is punctual and always answers his emails in a timely fashion. The apartment its self is very small but for the price and the location it works just fine. The bed was uncomfortable and the 5 flights of stairs were a little of an inconceivable. But all in all we had a very nice stay

  Estuvimos en el piso de Franck durante cinco noches. La estadia estuvo muy bien, franck nos espero en el piso, llegamos pasadas las 7 de la tarde, nos acompaño hast al calle y nos mostro supermnercados, restaurant, panaderias y demas, muy bien. El piso esta en una 5ta. altura sin ascensor, es pequeño pero tiene las comodidades necesrias para una estadia agradeble.

  This place is small but it does the trick! Great location, great price. Frank is very prompt and check in/out was quite easy. The bathroom was a little funky - not for tall people and the plumbing on the bath is quite sensitive! Also those 5 stories of stairs are no joke - we were out of breath but I think that's quite common. No wifi but you can get wifi quite easily around Paris; most cafes don't advertise it but just buy a coffee or beer and ask for the password. The one right down the street by the metro station has wifi, for example. We would absolutely stay here again - thank you Frank!

  Because the August heat was stifling, windows had to be left open. Some of the he building's tenants, including a dog, were noisy until at least 1:00 AM. A fan would have been wonderful to have Mary M

  I think the other reviews describe Franck and the place adequately. The apartment is small but nicely decorated and reasonably clean (although neither very modern nor shiny spotless); it is close to many major sights. Franck is a responsible host who is very good at answering emails and keeping appointments. For the money, this is a good place to stay. Now let me add a few points not discussed by others. As for location, this is the backside of Marais; the streets are not very clean, and there are a bit too many Chinese bag shops. The area perhaps has a bit of Chinatown feel, although there's also what looks like an American vegetarian eatery and a very popular Moroccan restaurant on the same street. We expected a neighborhood like that (thanx (website hidden) maps), so it was not a negative for our stay, but you certainly shouldn't think Marais means fancy area next to Place des Vosges. As for the apartment, the bathroom is surprisingly spacious; the kitchen is a small but separate room with its own window (albeit without a door). This is a huge plus compared to the usual studio situation where the kitchen is a bedroom corner and even with minimal cooking all the odors and vapors stay with you for the night. There is no WiFi access at the apartment. Franck had told us in an email that there are plenty of cafes with WiFi, including a spot just down the street. We never found that spot, and it turned out that cafes with WiFi are few and far between (with most concentrated in Quartier Latin); we only needed Internet for a few minutes each day, but it was quite a hassle. Lastly, while Franck is an efficient host, you shouldn't hope to get many insider tips from him or have any sort of conversation -- we tried to ask a bunch questions, from supermarket location to restaurant advice, and he wasn't helpful. It seemed he just wanted to process the transaction real quick. (We spoke French and he speaks good English, so can't blame this on language barrier.) Bottom line: we'd be happy to stay there again on another trip but would also consider other options.

  Thanks to Franck, we had a great Paris experience! First of all, Franck responded instantly to all our e-mails (from our stay request, to any questions we had). He explained the route in detail, we didn't had any problems on our way from the Airport to the apartment. He was flexible about the check-in/check-out times. He was also very punctual about these appointments as well. Regarding the house, the location was great (just a 5-10 minute walk from the Centre Pompidou, 2 minute walk to the metro station Arts et Métiers). Furthermore, we felt very safe walking back to apartment, even very late at night. The apartment itself was very secure. The room was very nicely decorated and cozy, perfect for a short stay in Paris. It was also equipped nicely: we had all the kitchen equipments (even a microwave oven and a kettle), a small tv, a cd player and a hair-dryer. There was only one weak point: the house was not perfectly clean.

  Location, location, location. Yes this place is basically one small room and yes, you get a workout climbing five flights of stairs, but it is perfectly nestled in Paris' haute Marais with walkable access to all the sights and scenes of the right bank. As such, it is well positioned for all hours city touring with an easy stroll home. Plus it's home on the northern side of this hip neighborhood sets you up to find unexpected charms - good Chinese restos on Rue Marie, middle eastern bars down the block, and a great market (Enfants Terrible) with yummy food stalls a mere 5 minds stroll east on Rue Charonne's boutique shopping row. In summary, it's a perfect for two people who don't mind being close and who have no major needs for their Paris apartment save for a bed, a bathroom, and place to make coffee in the morning before setting off on the day's adventures.

  Excellent location in the Paris. Everything worked out well. Appartment has all you need when you are couple and the host Franck was also nice and easy going. Certainly a place we would return to next time we are in Paris. Very recommendable :-) Peter & Janne

  Excellent position. The apartment is clean with all the necessities. It would be better if the aprtment would be equipped with ventilating system to fresh the air in rooms.

  la chambre est très clean et agréable, c'est calme (même si les murs sont en papier et que l'on entend chaque bruit des chambres voisines, mais les locataires sont très respectueux et silencieux) et très bien situé. Je trouve difficile d'avoir les toilettes séparées et à l'étage, mais si on réfléchit au rapport qualité-prix, il n'y a rien à redire. Je me suis fait du thé en regardant la télé (plein de chaînes disponibles) et le wifi fonctionne très bien. Je recommande ce logement pour les gens seuls qui veulent être au coeur du marais, et qui ne craignent pas d'escalader cinq étages sans ascenseur ;-) p.s prenez votre téléphone aux toilettes, car la lumière est reliée à la minuterie de l'étage et s'éteint rapidement et l'interrupteur dans les WC est hors service… donc si vous n'aimez pas faire pipi dans le noir, soyez prévoyants.

  We had a wonderful stay at Franck's apartment, the house is located in a beautiful part of the city, just few steps away from Centre Pompidou, Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame! The metro station is very close, and the Marais is full of nice restaurants, brasserie and if you want to eat something at home the shop is just 50 m away and it's open until 10pm. The apartment is very quite, warm and nice and it's equipped of everything you might need for you holiday. WiFi connection is perfect. Franck has been very nice host. We look forward for our next time in La Verrerie!

  Very comfortable, quiet apartment in a perfect location in one of Paris's best neighborhoods. I wish I had skipped buying a 5-day public transportation pass because the apartment is so well situated that the only time I needed trans was to get to and from the airport.

  comfortable bed, good space for two people. saved money using the kitchenette. stayed warm in the winter. very central location. toilet down one floor from apt. apt 5 or 6 floors up.

  great little place with an excellent location for getting around. very nicely kept and clean. franck's directions made it really easy to find the place as well... which is wonderful when you don't really know the city at all! the skylight in the kitchen leaked when it rained, which wasn't a big deal, we through a pot on the floor to catch the water and let franck know about it. i do wish the hot water lasted a bit longer, but we just alternated showers - one person at night and the other in the morning and it was fine. all in all we had a lovely stay there!
