Downtown, modern and affordable

Olafur was a tremendous host. The apartment is a real value. It is easy to get to by car but still close enough to to walk to all the sites in Reykjavik. Free parking is juts 1 block away. Olafur went to great lengths to show us the convenient restaurants and grocery stores. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Olafur has very helpful. I definitely recommend him as a host.

We LOVED staying at this apartment! It is the best location in Reykjavik - walking distance to everything you need in the city, including the bus station/groceries/bars/clubs/shops/waterfront/etc. We were surprised at how nice and warm the apartment is - and we never even needed to turn the heater on! The shower is awesome - great water pressure and heat and like most reviewers mentioned here, the coffee maker is super cool. It's also a bonus to have wi-fi! Thanks for the ride from the bus station and for all the great recommendations of things to do, that was so helpful. We miss Iceland already :)

Our three night stay at Olafer's apartment went very well. The bed is very comfortable and large enough for two to sleep restfully. The apartment was easy to find and street parking was available. His place is well located and nightlife is right around the corner. We have no real complaints but feel we should share a couple of observations. Firstly ,the apartment was a little bit less "tidy" than the posted photos. The balcony door has swollen and does not shut. The apartment buildings hallways are a bit cluttered and there is trash strewn around out back. We also had difficulty figuring out how to turn on the stove ( tricky!). We had our own IPad but if we had to depend on his computer it might have been difficult-----future guests should make sure they run a few tests with Olafer there to assist. All in all we enjoyed our stay and think Olafer is a very nice person who communicated with us well and we recommend his place to all .

This apartment was spot on perfect for our stay in Reykjavik, and Ólafur and Brynja were truly exceptional hosts. The space is cozy, clean and colorfully designed with all the amenities one could ever possibly need in a home away from home. It's literally located just around the corner from all the popular restaurants, bars and shops in downtown Reykjavik, so it was easy to get everywhere we needed! Not to mention, we can't thank Ólafur and Brynja enough for being kind enough to pick us up from the bus station and help me coordinate with the airport to deliver my lost luggage. Truly the best!

We loved our stay in Reykjavik. Olafur was very helpful and the apartment had everything we were looking for and is in a great location. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Iceland. Oh and the coffee maker is amazing!

Olafur's apartment was located in a fantastic location- everything in walking distance. There was a dossier with recommended restaurants, activities, nightlife, etc., as well as guidebooks. Olafur picked me up at the bus station even though it was early in the morning, and picked me up to drive me back there when it was time to leave. The apartment was a great size and very cute. The shower was great. The coffee machine was awesome! It was a great home base for exploring the area. Reykjavik is a really awesome city and Iceland is incredible! I only had 2 full days there but they were action-packed and the apartment was easy and nice to come home to. Thanks so much Olafur, I hope to visit Iceland again soon!

The apartment was amazing! Great space, fantastic location and everything that we could have needed, and more - the coffee machine was especially appreciated. As for the hosting, we couldn't have asked for more. Got a lift from the BSI which was really nice, and loads of really useful information including maps and personal recommendations, which greatly contributed to making our week absolutely brilliant. Would thoroughly recommend the city, the apartment and the hosts.

Excellently located right off the main street. Loved the interesting book collection. Make sure to check out the Eiffel tower book. Legendary coffee machine. This place is a deal.

We stayed two nights at this lovely apartment last week. Olafur was the kindest host, picking us up from the bus terminal (very handy as it was snowy and we had huge suitcases!) and providing us with wonderful recommendations for sights, food and drink etc. He couldn't have been a better host. The apartment was very clean and in the perfect area for us as we could explore the main street and downtown very easily. We have already recommended the apartment to our friends and will continue to do so. Highly recommended and thanks again!

Loved the apartment. Great location. Olafur and Brinja we accommodating and great at getting back to us to answer any questions we had. It definitely made our stay in Reykjavik a memorable one. Would definitely stay there again. They also have Seinfeld DVDs which we enjoyed!

Olafur and Brynja are wonderful people and the apartment is cosy and in a great location in walking distance to the city center. The main bus terminal is 1. min away and the main shopping street is 3. sec away. Olafur and Brynja are trustworthy and very helpful by nature so you won´t find better hosts if you decide to stay at their apartment.

I'm good friends with Ólafur and Brynja and can honestly say they're one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, reliable and always ready to help you out. Their apartment is situated in one of the best places in downtown Reykjavík, with a nice living space that we frequently throw dinner parties at and is in a close walking distance from all the best bars and shops around ! A very smart choice in my opinion !

He has always been a guy that you can count on, he is very positive and a helpful person. His place is great and is situated down town Reykjavik. Great guy with a really nice apartment. His apartment is great for drinking a few beers before hitting the town, it's downtown without the noise that follows being downtown :)
