Nestled on ocean front property, guests stay on their own private ground level floor that faces the bay. There is private access and off street parking.

The 500 sq. ft area includes a bedroom nook, mini kitchen, sitting area with cable tv + DVD recorder plus DVD/VCR player and full movie library, a full bath with a jet tub and sunlamp, laundry room, desk area, a living room with a water view, plus a private deck. Guests have free wireless Internet access.

The lower yard has a gazebo by the shore and a fire pit by the water. We supply with wood and s'more supplies.

Breakfast is included with juice, assorted cereals, homemade bread, cheese, and fruit, and coffee/tea. Feel free to stock the mini-fridge with your own groceries. If you wish to cook, there is a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot, toaster and blender at your disposal in the lower level kitchen area. There is a sink, too, along with plates, cups and basic cooking utensils. And if you need to use our oven or stove upstairs, just give us a heads up. We are laid back and easy to get along with.

Guests have free access to three kayaks, complete with a mini-lesson. Enjoy a paddle on Oyster Bay and spy colorful starfish in the tranquil bay waters, or maybe even have a playful seal as a paddling companion.

Smoking is ok as long as you smoke outside. We have a covered gazebo near the water and also several covered outdoor seating areas.

For more than 2 people, there is an extra thick queen air mattress for use on the lower level. You can re-arrange furniture to use the mattress during sleeping hours. There is an open floor plan on the 500 sq. ft. lower level. This means you would have limited privacy and walking space.

We also have a small stand-alone studio space in the lower yard that can sleep two people. The studio does not have a bathroom, so any guests sleeping there would need to use the bathroom in the lower level of the house. We only rent the studio to guests also renting the lower level of the house who need additional sleeping space.

One last option: If you are adventurous, ask about borrowing our sleeping bags/pads to sleep out under the stars on your private deck or at our gazebo! Email us for more details.

If you need a crib, please let us know. We can arrange for one for a nominal additional fee.

Bremerton is one of the few towns with direct ferry service to downtown Seattle. It is a one hour ferry ride from Bremerton to Seattle. If you walk on, there is no charge to ride the ferry to Seattle. You only pay a few dollars to ride from Seattle to Bremerton. You can also drive your car onto the ferry for a fee.

We are located 500 ft from a bus stop; there are taxis right at the ferry terminal (7 minute ride); and the airport shuttle drops you off right near our house. The Kitsap Airporter shuttle is located outside the airport exit door 00. If you plan to take the shuttle, the Kitsap Airporter had a schedule online.

Our property includes a garden and a yard. We have bocci, a croquet set, and frisbees for family fun. Or relax outside with a Northwest microbrew provided as a guest amenity while you enjoy the beautiful bay view from your own deck outside the lower level living quarters. And if you are really lucky you may get a chance to see the sea lions that take naps on our dock in the early morning!

A supermarket, Tony's Italian restaurant, Denny's, Family Pancake House, Dairy Queen, Jack-in-the-Box, coffee stands and other local restaurants/bars are only a couple blocks from our house. During the summer months there are two small local farmer markets operating here in Bremerton and the organic local grocery store, Fresh Local, is open year round. If you enjoy yoga, Samudra Yoga in downtown Bremerton welcomes walk-ins. It is a great place with warm, friendly instructors and a nice cafe.

Bremerton is one of the few towns that can boast of a car/passenger ferry that takes you directly to/from downtown Seattle (a huge plus if you want to avoid the extreme work week driving headaches.) The ferry terminal in Seattle is near the famed Pike Place Market, as well as Pioneer Square, the Seattle Art Museum, the library and the professional sports stadiums. We are more than happy to drive you to and from the ferry if our schedules permit (most of the time one or both of us are available). Or you can take a taxi from the terminal or hop on a bus since we are on the bus line. Our house is only seven minutes by car from the terminal.

If you would like insider tips for sightseeing, hiking, entertainment, and food we would be happy to share our suggestions with you.
