The cabin is cute and clean with access to a nice pool, perfect for a secluded break or surf if you have your own transport to the nearby beaches. Anouk was great to communicate with and very understanding about changes in my reservation.

Super cozy, beautifully built cabina, fun outdoor kitchen and front porch swing, quiet secluded but short drive to everwhere you wanna go! Hosts were super accommodating and helpful in guiding us to some of our key adventures. My husband and I can't wait to come back!!!!

I loved my stay at Casa Saraina. It's perfect for those who are looking for a unique, camping-like experience and don't mind a little dust. The outside kitchen is functional and seating area/swing are perfect to enjoy the early morning breeze and sounds of the jungle. The space is adequate for 1 person and the full bed is very comfortable. I stayed almost 5 months and never felt space to be an issue. If biking isn't your thing, I suggest budgeting for renting a car or quad for a longer-term stay. I relied on a Tukuk (small taxi service) for nighttime transportation which was the most affordable option ($6/ride). While the main Guiones beach is 20 min bike/40 min walk/10 min drive, I really enjoyed staying outside of the tourist hustle. Pelada is much more local and has a beautiful beach of it's own.

I enjoyed my stay at Casa Saraina. It was private, peaceful, and just the right amount of rustic. If you enjoy the camping experience and want to be surrounded by nature, this is definitely the perfect place to stay - there are tons of butterflies, cool exotic insects, pizotes and bats around. One of the best parts was Rafa, the grounds keeper. He was always super helpful with anything I needed and I was so glad to have his help - especially with learning Spanish! Across the street is a horse ranch and it is about a 15 minute walk to the beach (5 minutes on a bike). Also close by is a fruit stand run by Claudio and the grocery store is not far either - (10 minute walk/5 minutes by bike). I suggest this bungalow to someone who loves nature, is not afraid of the dark/nature, and enjoys peace and quiet. If you want more of a modern accommodation, there is also a lovely studio on the premises that is available to rent.
