On the first floor of a villa surrounded by gardens, BBQ, is this delightful old-fashioned apartment, on the terrace where you can leave your animals fenced. Silent, you can hear birds singing. It is airy and cool in summer because the air is pure, there are butterflies. The attic above it, protects it from the sun. The beach is a mile away and parking is free in the street. If you want there are establishments with shaded parking. The fee is very inexpensive.
We will not accept clients without a car.
The bus arrives in Rome at Cotral Laurentina subway in one hour in winter time but in summer and peak hours it could take as long as 1.40 hour. From railway Station Padiglione (eight kilometers away) the train arrives at Termini Station, central Rome, in fifty minutes. We strongly encourage you to park your car at Padiglione Station and go by train, the ticket cost 3.50
Shops are within walking distance.
Horse riding and tennis nearby, as well as sailing and diving at Anzio.

  • I was in Rome on a holy pilgrimage and started off with three days at Laura's B&B. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Coming from South Africa Laura turned out to be the proverbial Italian mamma who looks after her guests with a passion. The accommodation is very comfortable and homely. The breakfasts are just what you want them to be as Laura caters for your individual tastes. On my last evening we had a wonderful supper at a great seafood restautant in the Trastevere. And then to finish off Laura took me on a personal night tour of the City. Well we visited sights that most tourists do not get around to seeing. Laura's place is very central and easy to get to the other attractions in the City especially for the Vatican. Do yourself a favour and take a trip or two on the small electric buses but most of all do stay with Laura you will not be disappointed!.

  • I could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay during my month-long visit to Rome. When I arrived my host, Laura, was waiting for me. She immediately made me coffee and something to eat. Then, she took me on a tour of the neighborhood and into some of the local cafes & restaurants. Because I like fresh fruit and vegetables, Laura took me on a bus to an open market. She discussed my itinerary with me and helped plan my sightseeing adventures. Lucky for me, Laura speaks excellent English as well as Italian and French. This was especially good because I have very limited Italian language skills. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, I had my own bathroom, and Laura did everything she could to make sure that my visit was good. I also had full use of the kitchen at any time. My room was centrally located in a safe area. For me that was important because I was traveling alone, and I like to walk. However, transportation of every kind was very near, and Laura was available to tell me how to get where I wanted to go. Laura was also there to listen to my adventures each day. Laura and her B&B were the best! I know that my experiences in Rome would never have been the same without her.

  • My family and I planned a trip to cruise the Italy, Greece and Turkey. There were 6 adults and 1 toddler. We needed a place to stay before and after our cruise since we wanted to spend some time in Rome. Finding a place with 3 rooms was a bit difficult since most places list 2 rooms. Since there were 3 couples we needed our own privacy and personal space. Laura was the first to respond to our needs. Her place has a great location - it's across the street from the Vatican, the popular bus route 64 is right in front of her street and the San Peitro Train Station was very close. Laura is wonderful. As a host, she is motherly and genuinely cared about making our stay a good experience. She is a retired guide of Italy and is a wealth of knowledge on seeing the sights in Roma. She gave us a map and directions on how to use the public transportation. And advised us on whether a stroller or baby carrier was best to's use to take our little one around. Our first day, we booked a shuttle to take us from the airport to the B&B. She has a young man, Andrea to help us bring our luggage inside. Each room has it's own bathroom, although one room has the bathroom across the hall. She makes us tea and coffee and as we are settling in, the water heater stops working. Despite Andea's attempts to troubleshoot the problem, we ended up taking cold showers that night. The next morning we left for our cruise and Laura made us a nice breakfast of eggs and bread with jam and butter and delicious cappuccino. Andrea offered to drive us to the train station - maybe to make up for lack of hot water. Either way, appreciated the gesture since we had a lot of luggage. Walking to the train station is doable. When we returned from our cruise, the hot water was back and we got a crib for our toddler which made it easier for him to sleep. We needed to do laundry since we had been traveling all week and although it is listed that there is a washer/dryer, there is only a washing machine and drying is hanging your clothes outside. That would have been okay except that we were there in November and it was raining. There was a laundrymat just down the street where you can drop off your laundry and pick up afterwards. And that's what we used. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Roma and our accommodations with Laura. I think we were the first ones to ever have all three rooms for one family. Otherwise she rents her rooms out individually. I would give her 5 stars if not for the cold shower and not being able to wash our clothes there as originally planned. She is a wonderful host, her place is homey and clean and a great location. And her price is very reasonable as well. Thank you Laura for making our family holiday a memorable one!

  • Laura is a 68 year old ex Alitalia stewardess and registered Rome tour guide. I found her charming, with good English. Laura has a commitment to service and making your stay enjoyable. Laura's knowledge of Rome (and its bus connections) allows her to double as a tour adviser. If you want to get somewhere, she can tell you how to do it efficiently. The BNB has parking (although I didn't use it), as it is next to a large underground lot. There are good bus connections within easy walking distance. Saint Peter's square is right across from the BNB. The room I had was quite pleasant, and was comparable to the hotel rooms I have seen in Rome. The bed was excellent. The BNB does have some stairs, although these amount to less than a full flight.

  • Laura is a fabulous hostess. We were severely challenged by the time change. We were supposed to be up for our request breakfast at 9 am and dragged ourselves in a 11 am. She was still there and made us breakfast! Plenty of food and enough to take out for a lunch on the go later. She is an excellent resource for all things Rome. She even took us to the ocean and to learn about her rental home there. It is very nice also. The Rome location was VERY clean- the queen room bed quite comfortable. She truly made our visit to Rome an excellent experience. Thanks for everything Laura!

  • My family had a great time in Rome thanks to Laura. The room was as described, very clean, neat and quiet. The location is great for those who consider visiting Vatican as it's a 5 minute walk. There is a great restaurant -La Vittoria- downstairs and couple of good pizza places and coffee bars. Other areas of Rome are easily accessible by foot or bus. Laura took a great care of us providing us with an excellent breakfast and tips for visiting different parts of the city. It was our first time using Airbnb hosts and we are very pleased. I definitely recommend.

  • Laura was attentive and caring and most helpful with the local know how (she is a retired guide with great experience and really good English), including in my case transport strikes and how to solve them when trying to get to the airport. The room was neat, clean and very comfortable and my stay was so enjoyable that I have to say that Laura and her accommodation can only be highly recommended. A very warm and positive experience which I plan to do again. Laura Thank You.

  • Laura is a retired tour guide and really knows her stuff. She was informative and spoke good English. The b and b was as described. It was clean and pleasant and had a good bathroom. Laura sat with us at breakfast most days and gave us information we asked for as well as her own tips and advice on buses, etc. The neighborhood is safe and very close to the Vatican--5 minute walk or less. Excellent bus connections, but it is possible to walk from there to most sites in central Rome. We'd stay with her again without question.

  • Laura mothered us like one of her own, making sure everything she did helped make our visit memorable to her city. And her home is located so convenient to St. Peters. Whenever we had a spare hour or two, we found ourselves walking across the street and enjoying another one of the sights the Vatican has to offer--even just sitting on the steps of St. Peters and watching people.

  • About: ♥I am 68 and live in what it was only a summer house, now turned into my main residence: I prefer staying at Lido dei Pini because of the silence, I can stay in Rome in my bed and breakfast whenever I want, but I miss the three hens the three cats and the white rabbit, altogheter with the flowers , birds and butteflies. I enjoy the clean breeze coming from the beach 1km and half away, I stroll with the dog in the pine wood,I A DORE SITTING IN THE ARMCHAIR IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE IN WINTER.. Having a choice of three different roads to Rome, I prefer to follow the coast, Lido dei Pini and Torvaianica are not particularly pretty, but rather normal little italian towns, but one can park the car on the sand and have a gelato or a pizza straigth on the beach. With a newspaper,or a book, I feel rich when I can choose a place according to the temperature and the hour of the day.Friends come and visit me attracted by barbeque and I love it.
