  My girlfriend and I were attending a wedding in the Santa Cruz mountains, and we wanted to have a place to unwind and relax before and after. Paula and Ralph gave us exactly what we were looking for, immediately greeting us upon our arrival and welcoming us to their home. They gave us a quick tour, showing us the spa (gorgeous view!!), their adorable retriever Bailey and our wonderful room. Waiting for us on the dining table was a bottle of local wine, cheese and crackers and dessert (all delicious). Ralph also offered to turn the heater on for us whenever we wished. The atmosphere there is so comforting and relaxing, we couldn't have been happier with our stay! Our visit was too quick, I can't wait to return for some local wine tasting.

  We had a great time at this B&B with our 8 months old son with the most wonderful hosts in Paula and Ralph. They gave us great advice on what to do in the surrounding area and gave us everything we could possibly need travelling with a little child. Calm setting up on a hill with great view. We warmly recommend this!

  Paula and Ralph's house was wonderful. Highlights included the view from the house, location, hosts, welcome, and amenities. The one caution is that the drive to their house is best done during the day the first time. Upon our arrival, Paula met us, got us settled in, and answered all of our random questions on things to do in the area. Both she and Ralph were very welcoming and kind, and made themselves available or reachable by phone throughout our visit. Ralph even met us when we returned at night and turned on the heater for us. They also have a dog, Bailey, who was friendly and content to be pet, and two cats. For anyone who is allergic to pets, the house was clean of animal hair when we arrived. In addition to the personal welcome from Paula, we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the next day's breakfast, basic cooking supplies, and a whole host of local goodies were provided upon arrival. Paula and Ralph also keep a compiled menu list and area tour books available for additional information. The house is adjoined to their own. It was very well kept and had all the standard amenities one would expect. In addition to bathroom linens, they also had towels for the beach/hot tub, an extra duvet in case the room was cold, and a quilt for their couch. Despite the fact that they live in the adjoining house (completely separate house entryways), Paula and Ralph were considerate of our privacy. Finally, the view from their deck was amazing. On a clear day you can see all the way to the bay, and on a clear night it is perfect for stargazing. Overall, we loved the place and we'd gladly go back again.

  We stayed in the apartment for two nights. The owners could not have been more accommodating and welcomed us with wine and cheese. The apartment had everything we needed to set up housekeeping, in fact we made breakfast with the goodies the owners also left for us. The views from the property are breathtaking. The bed was very comfy. It was very helpful to have the owners nearby as we did need their assistance. The resident pet Bailey was friendly and we welcomed her visits. We took advantage of golfing at Seascape Resort, the Corralitos Market and Sausage Co, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the 17 mile drive, and the Carmel Valley wineries. Thank you for your hospitality Paula and Ralph, we had a wonderful visit!

  Paula and Ralph were awesome... super friendly, really helpful, and had a lovely guest suite that had a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, strawberries, juice, eggs, milk, and coffee already waiting for us. Truly a delightful surprise. The kitchen had everything we needed, and between that and a BBQ in their garden (with a spectacular view of the nearby area), we had a lovely time. We never managed to actually *USE* the hot tub the so graciously offered, but it was in the garden and also had a spectacular view of the area and the stars... definitely something we're looking forward to using the next time we're back... because we'll certainly return.

  Paula and Ralph were very cool and really accommodating. They have built a beautiful home on a gorgeous property that really does the view justice. Not only was the place nice and clean, the stove fired up, a strong wifi connection, a flat screen HDTV, and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in; on top of all that, they left a delicious cheese plate, snacks and wine for us to enjoy coming off the road. This is a really tranquil and quiet neighborhood. Don't expect to be able to walk to downtown Santa Cruz, but plan to relax and enjoy the view, hot tub, patio, and do some cooking in the fully-stocked kitchen or on the grill.

  I had a wonderful stay in Paula and Ralph's immaculate guest house. The bedding was fluffy and comfortable, I had everything I needed in the well-equipped kitchen, and I really appreciated the wine, cheese and goodies left for me on my arrival. The location is somewhat secluded but an easy jump down to the highway that gets you to Monterey, Santa Cruz or Aptos. It felt very safe and was a nice spot if you are traveling with your dog. I hope to stay again someday!

  Paula and Ralph are the most hospitable people you can imagine! When we arrived, there was wine and cheese waiting for us, because they knew from my profile that I like that. They let us use the hot tub and the BBQ, and we had breakfast on the patio with fantastic views. Ask them anything about the area - they know it. I highly recommend this place!

  Five words: hot tub with a view. It was just wonderful to sit in that tub, looking up at the stars and the mountains. Paula and Ralph were very nice, their pets are adorable, the house was spotlessly clean, and the welcome basket was a nice touch. My husband and I had a thoroughly relaxing weekend of lounging and reading in the peace and quiet.

  My girl friend and I came here for last second plans for New Years after anticipation of working through the new years. Considering they were last second plans... not only did they quickly respond, but Ralph and Paula were very gracious hosts. They provided allot of information about the area that would have loved to look more into, except was mostly looking for quite get away and peaceful new years and a visit to the Pema Osel Ling Retreat Center. The trip went exactly as planned and thanks Paula and Ralph the new year was started the way that we needed. If I ever needed to adventure to explorie Santa Cruz county or just a peaceful get away and the options are open, I would stay at Ralph and Paula's place again. Thanks again for giving us the weekend we needed
