Just 1 minute from the central station on the 5th avenue of Amsterdam thats where you will be staying !!!On the Damrak, no one can beat the location !!! Just 3 min walk from Dam square !

Why stay at a place where you need public transport?? If you stay at my place you can walk to anywhere you want to,public transport is very expensive nowadays in Amsterdam,its 2.60 euro per person for 1 hour! After clubbing, barhopping just walk home , no nightbusses,no taxi's needed

The attic has been converted into a nice and cosy room for 1 or 2 people
The attic/room has NO private shower/toilet, its in my apartment, so you have to take the stairs down to my place which you can use any moment of course, night or day (and yes i DO live there!!!!)

The nice thing about the room i am renting is that you get the key to the front door and to your room(attic)so you dont have to come in my apartment first,its like you have your own place.

And yes, i live on the 3rd floor so you have to walk up the stairs, if thats a problem book a 5* hotel! No elevator ! And YES there is street noise

Young students who are can't behave....plz go to a hostel!!!!! If you want to party all night....go to a hostel, I have had some VERY horrible guests!! NO VISITORS !!

Place is smack dab in the middle of all the action. Literally 2 minute walk from the train station. Nice and clean, and very private, since the room is on its own floor, separate from the rest of the apartment. Just have to go to the main apartment to shower, etc., but Chris usually leaves early in the morning, so you have plenty of privacy, etc. Didn't have much contact with Chris (he was traveling for work part of the time), but he's definitely a good guy. Street noise isn't at all bad (as some people said), especially if you are used to being in a city.

We stayed with Chris in January. His apartment was located on the edge of the tourist area in Amsterdam, just 2 minutes walk from the train station. The apartment is several floors above the street level, giving it an excellent view of one of the canals, and the lovely buildings that ring the area. When we initially met Chris did an excellent job of filling us in on the area. He was very pleasant and informative. The room we rented from him had wifi, tv, and a great adjustable furnace, it was quite comfortable and convenient. For showers we went one floor lower to Chris's place. It was not hard to arrange times for this and in no way akward. Overall we liked Chris as host, and the wonderful location and proximity to our points of interest.

Great host, great studio, the view, the location.... The studio is very nice decorated and really comfortable... We didn't mind the stairs or sharing the kitchen and bathroom. Chris is very friendly, well organized and funny guy! Definitely would come back!

Chris is fantastic! Responsive, available, and professional. The view from the room is really nice and a great central location. More than enough space for one, cozy for two. Chris is very respectful and helpful. My only critique or recommendation is to bring some ear plugs. Because of the great location, there is quite a bit of street noise through the night.

We stayed in Chris' apartment over new years which is in the perfect location to get to any of the action. There are many bike hire places close by which is an absolute must do in Amsterdam. Chris was a great host and helped us with lots of local know how and the best ways to get about the city. We loved it and suggest it to everyone.

Nice and Cozy place same like in pictures and like i expected, the host was really responsive; the best thing is its location; it's where u wanna be trust me the only matter was i had a big luggage and there was lots of narrow stairs , but other than that it was really warm and nice to stay there. Thanx Chris.

Chris's attic apartment is as great as it seems from his description and all the reviews. There's not much that hasn't already been said but basically it's a nice, spacious and private room with a friendly and interesting host. Chris and I didn't get a chance to hang out much but he keeps a beautiful home and was very accommodating. The downsides to the apartment are the very steep stairs, which you have to climb 4 flights of, and the street noise. However, all you need is some ear plugs and you'll sleep soundly. Most apartments in the Netherlands have the steep stairs anyway so there's no way around that really. You'll like this place if you're looking for a central location and know what Airbnb places are like. You'll be disappointed if you're expecting a hotel-like situation and don't take the time to read his description and some of the reviews.

This place was great! The location was perfect for us and it is very nice inside with all the utilities you'll need. We were able to experience the whole city by foot because of this great location, and it is about a 2 minute walk from the train station. There is an ATM next door and also many places to eat just a few doors down. Can be a bit noisy from the outside traffic but for the great location and ease of getting around its worth it.
