ROOM semi-private room with full size bed, (fresh / clean linens), lots of pillows, large mirror, mini skylight, abundant lighting options: reading, ambient and overall.

SEMI-PRIVATE the room has a doorway and open window that open onto an open stairwell. our room (where we sleep) opens onto the same stairwell. both rooms can be closed off from the stairs with their own heavy curtains and blinds -- but neither has a door that you can close.

this makes both rooms more airy & cozy, but a little less private.

CHOW large round wooden table. comfortable, modern seating. little open bar area; great for a cup of tea, coffee, beer, wine, etc. checkout our guidebook for all our favorite take out eats.

CONNECTiViTY we have fast (reliable) wifi to stream / download music, movies, television, etc. we like all kinds of music and movie genres. love, love documentaries. billy likes to stream all kinds of lectures (physics, economics, etc). my favorite shows i stream are: stephen colbert, daily show, curb your enthusiasm, united states of tara, boardwalk empire, general hospital, npr, 30 rock and just about any /all documentaries i can get my hands on. my favorite music / news stream is kcrw (a killer public radio station out of santa monica). FOOD we love food. i love to cook. my dream someday is to have my own mini food truck. the past few years we've been into urban gardening and growing our own herbs (and some vegetables / greens) to harvest. next step is building a chicken coop and hopefully acquiring some happy little laying hens. nothing like hen to kitchen eggs. guests have access to garden harvesting and kitchen which includes big fridge, industrial steel counter, gas stove, cook book library and mini breakfast bar. first two nights of stay, we offer my super-tasty lemon thyme scramble with crispy cibatta toast from 7:00AM-9:00AM special note: although we eat meat from time to time, we can also be vegetarian / vegan friendly. check out our local guidebook for our favorite food / wine places we like to hang out at. ANiMALS we love our animals. you don't have to love them, but you need to be dog / cat friendly to stay here. part of the adventure is having access to two awesome loving dogs. canine friends are welcome as long as they are potty trained and socialized. we have easy potty access and poop bags. there are a number of great local off leash dog parks that we take our girls to daily. we are kid friendly as long as they are socialized -- he he he. checkout our guidebook for all things dog friendly you might need during your stay. HUMOR air bnb suggests sharing a life motto? we don't really have one. we do love a good sense of humor though. if you have one -- YAY!
