Veronique is a wonderful hostess. Her breakfast is delicious and very regional, so you get a taste for Alsace in the morning. She has beautiful views from the front and back of the house. The apartment is walking distance to the station and Petite Venice, so it's a great location. We loved it! We wish we could have booked a tour with her. She does them for half the price that you find online. I suggest looking into her tours. She will personalize them for you.

Absolutely central next to the train station, only 10 minutes walk to the "petit venise", Véronique offers a wonderfull and spacious room that is taking care of in every detail. It's quiet and on the 3rd floor, we slept well in the big bed and were offered a delicious breakfast with homemade food and a great chat.

Veronique is a great host. We enjoyed being her guests and being served phenomenal breakfasts (and once even dinner - greatly recommended) in her dining room! What an appartment, one can see the grandeur: even in the stairway the wooden floors are herringbone. The comfort and luxury makes one think one is staying in the Executive Room of the Waldorf Astoria!

The appartment is a very convinient walk away from the center. The room is furnished with taste and Veronique serves a great breakfast! She was a great host and gave us good suggestions regarding restaurants and sightseeing. We only came for one night, but the area has much more to offer, so I believe we will be back!

We really enjoyed staying at Veronique's home. Whilst it is not an entire home, Veronique offers a delightful bedroom and bathroom with independent access. Breakfast was really enjoyable. We were particularly happy to receive advice on places to go and onward route planning. We would recommend Veronique's airbnb to anyone wanting to stay in Colmar. If you have difficulty with stairs though, this may not be the best choice for you.

Response from Veronique:
Thank you Fran for your nice visit. Yes there are 3 floors however stairs are large and confortable because it' s located in a nice " bourgeois" house and I help anyone to bring up the luggage if necessary. The result is a wonderfull view all over the montains!

Veronique's B&B is stunning. A gracious host, Veronique greeted us upon arrival, allowing us to check in two hours early. She showed us to our large, sunny bedroom, and allowed us to store some supplies in her refrigerator. Our room had a plush king-sized bed, table and chairs, wooden wardrobe, and antique writing desk, and the windows open onto a quiet street. The modern, tiled bathroom had a rain shower head, plenty of hot water, and excellent water pressure. Veronique gave us walking directions to the old city center, which was just a few blocks away, and good advice about where to eat. The real treat, however, was breakfast the next morning, which Veronique set out in her apartment, where her previous experience as an interior decorator was immediately evident. An excellent cook, Veronique served us chocolate-laden bread she baked that morning, homemade strawberry, plum, and melon jams, local meats and cheeses, freshly-squeezed orange juice, and coffee. Veronique can trace her roots in Alsace back a thousand years. While we fantasized about moving to Europe from New York, Veronique, who is well-traveled and has lived in New York, said without hesitation that Alsace was her favorite place in the world. We spent breakfast trading stories, questions, and political opinions. Our brief visit to Colmar was made memorable in large part because of our time with Veronique.
