Our house is right on the waters edge. Located on a protected harbor where from the deck or front patio you see birds soaring and bathing and fishing along with seals swimming right in front of you. Kayakers and small sailboats sailing from the HMB yacht club. Fishing boats going out to sea, a small fishing pier, the wide open ocean, the fresh ocean air, and the rise and fall of the tide. We are on the coastal trail, great for biking and walking.
A 10 min walk to a surfing beach either beginning to intermediate. A 10 min walk to the famed Mavericks, which depending on conditions varies from intermediate to expert-crazy surfing. Old growth Redwood forest hikes are a 30 minute drive. Kayak/wetsuit rentals a 5 min walk, surfboard/boogie board/wetsuit rental a 5 min drive. Fishing boat tours and the fishing pier is a 5 min walk, horseback riding rentals a 5 min drive.
There are several fine restaurants within 10 min walking distance and more within 10 min driving. Music at two locations within walking distance and more with 10 min driving. Fitzgerald Marine Preserve is 2 miles away.
In this house you will find a setting which offers both a cozy place to settle in as well as a very centrally located base camp for your adventures of the coast and the bay area. We are a 30 min drive to San Francisco, 45 min drive to Silicon Valley, 55 min drive to Santa Cruz.
On the second story, nestled on the side of the house, this room is creek side and ocean front with windows facing both. You can sit at the desk and watch the tide rise and fall as the seagulls congregate on the sand. It is connected to a shared bathroom, which is light and bright with a claw foot bathtub and heated towel rack.
