Roof-Top Room in Williamsburg

  Leslie and Susan are very easy going and easy to communicate with. I stayed at the room and was gladly surprised that it has an independent access (so it's more like a independent unit rather than a "shared bedroom"). It's also soundproof. We couldn't hear a noise from the guests next door. They leave delicious organic coffee, tea, milk and donuts! It's very nice to be able to have some coffee before hitting the road. Regarding location, it's great, a couple of blocks away from "prime" Williamsburg and next to two or three subway stations. I would recommend it wholeheartedly!

  Great location, right near The Bagel Store (yum!) and within walking distance lots of restaurants (like Food Swings), and coffee shops. The room was adorable and we loved the high ceilings and modern bathroom. It was also very convenient to have a refrigerator in the room.

  I had the pleasure of staying at the Williamsburg Guest House for two glorious nights. The guest house is centrally located in a safe and cute part of the neighborhood. There are about a million restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. The apartment itself was wonderful - clean, comfortable bed, newly remodeled bath with hip fixtures, chocolates on the towels, all the amenities you need for a short stay, and upon arrival a couple donuts from Pies N Thighs two doors down. Nice touch, very homey. Leslie was sweet and accommodating despite my being late. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in New York!

  This place is a gem! Located in a great area, halfway between bedford and marcy ave subway stations, it's incredibly convenient for getting into the city, if you even need to leave Brooklyn! This room is pretty much like a hotel room - private bathroom, mini fridge, tea+coffee facilities etc and perfect for one or two people. Very comfortable and clean, and a much better option than many New York hotels, in my opinion. The area, Williamsburg, is a great neighborhood with lots of awesome places to eat and drink. The hosts (I met Susan) were great with communication prior and during my stay, and I really appreciated the effort they made in accommodating my travel needs (dropping off my luggage before check-in time). Highly recommended!

  Leslie was a lovely host and we enjoyed our stay. The appartment was just what we needed: nice bed- and bathroom and in a good location. The area in Williamsburg was perfect for us to live, have breakfast or late dinner, but still get to any place in Manhattan quite quickly by subway. Thanx for your hospitality, Leslie!

  We enjoy the place a lot. The room is small but cozy. Everything is clean and tidy too. The space is well used and you get all you need. I have to say i am glad to have Pies and Thigh next door. Their donuts ,pies and fried chicken is delicious! A must try. :) Great neighborhood. Leslie is very accommodating and friendly. We requested gluten free and dairy free snacks and she bought us some good treats. Thanks. We definitely stay here if we are back in Brooklyn.

  We had a lovely time in Leslie's Rooftop room in Williamsburg. They were friendly and accommodating, the room was extremely clean and they even had donuts for us upon arrival! We'd love to stay there again.

  Great place. Wonderful hosts. Communication fantastic throughout the process. Accomodations were exactly as described and positive reviews all accurate. Helpful hints. The L train is a 12 block walk, typical for NY, but a little long late at night or on rainy days. Taxis are scarce, but Northside Car Service was never more than a five minute wait for a town car. We dined out every lunch and dinner for a week and each and every meal was great. There is no shortage of very good places all in walking distance. There is a guide book in the guest house that gives recommendations from previous guests. We also found using 4square to be very helpful for dining and drinking tips. A huge + on this place that doesn't get mentioned enough is that it is set back from the street, and very secure. The set back makes it less noisy as well. We will definitely return.   Getting to the place was not difficult after all the directions we got from Leslie. We got there and was welcomed by Susan despite our flight delay and was swiftly oriented on the basic house rules -- everything else is found in the book/manual of Williamsburg Guest House. The place was neat and smelled of clean and crisp laundry. It was just about the right size for a group of 3 pax (like us!). In the spacious and complete kitchen, you will surely feel the warmth and welcoming arms of WGH. The towels were warm and neatly folded with chocolate hearts on top!!! So cute!!! But what we could not forget is how they helped us, especially Emily, to get in touch with our airline re our lost/misdirected baggage (for freaking days) and received it through their friendly neighborhood store across, while we were out. So much effort from their end! They even (website hidden)d some places for us using Emily's laptop so we could find our way. Staying there made us feel that we belong, like real residents of Brooklyn - even for just a few days. It was awesome!!! It made us ascertain that staying in hotels is a thing of the past.   First time using Air B & B, very pleasantly surprised. The apartment was very clean, as pictured, with personal touches like nice ceramic dishes, fresh coffee, flowers in the room, and homemade donuts. Hosts were very kind and responsive to any questions about the booking. We really enjoyed the neighborhood. Our room was pleasant, quiet, and private. Would definitely stay with Leslie again!

  This was my first time using the AirBnB website so I must admit that I was very skeptical. Great communication from our hosts prior to arrival. The penthouse is EXACTLY as pictured. Very clean and orderly. There were donuts and organic roasted coffee waiting for us compliments of the host. There were clean dishes, utensils, and pots and pans for us to use. The bathroom was immaculate. I slept on the pull out sofa bed as my friend used the bedroom. It was easy to pull it out and since it was an air mattress, it was very easy to fill. We received a tour of the place when we arrived and was told how to use everything. I actually didn't realize there was a washer and dryer available to us or I wouldn't have brought so many clothes!! LOL! Our hosts did not do any "surprise" visits or anything like that. They gave us the keys and allowed us to have privacy. They responded to any texts or emails we sent right away. The only somewhat drawback was the stairs leading to the penthouse were a bit steep and it was hard to manuever with my high heels on and in the rain...but no worries because I didn't fall even once! The hosts also had a book there with all information regarding subways, buses, and taxis to assist us with getting around as well as menus for local food places (VERY helpful!) This place was fabulous and the hosts were courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

  Williamsburg Private penthouse is really confortable, modern, sunny and with complete furniture (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer...). We especially loved Bedford street and its bars, restaurants, shops, etc. The flat and the place were exactly what we were looking for. If we're back to NY, sure, we'll go there again.   One word: AMAZING! The apartment was beautiful, new and modern, full kitchen with all the utensils you need, large open space. Leslie was a wonderful host, so helpful and friendly. We caught her on her way out and she still stopped to chat and give up tips on where to go. Overall was a great experience! Definitely will be coming back.

  Location, location, location! The old real estate maxim applies to Carriage House; the apartment's location was ideal. The accommodations were spotless and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend staying at Leslie's for anyone who wants access to most of what the city has to offer. Oh yeah, stay away from the donuts - they are incredible and habit forming.

  This is the ultimate little Williamsburg spot for a solo traveller or couple. The apartment is very clean and painted a crisp white. The bedding felt fresh. The kitchen area was very nice and stocked with everything you need. As for location, it gets no better if you what you are looking for is to be right in the mix of Williamsburg. Leslie was a great host. I had a warn greeting, but my privacy was very respected. I look forward to another stay.

  We stayed in the guesthouse for almost one week and we definitely enjoyed our stay there! The hosts are so nice. They tried to help us whenever we needed help. And the apartment was soooo spacious and really well equipped (dish detergent, washing powder, kitchen roll, toilet paper, soap etc). So we were able to glory our stay from the beginning (Shopping for things like toilet paper can be really annoying...). And the sheets were really comfortable... :) We definitely recommend this apartment!! And we will be back :)

  Had a wonderful stay at Leslie´s and Susan´s apartment. Can´t add anything to the descriptions that are already posted here - it is all true: a great location in the midst of Williamsburg, close to public transport into downtown Manhattan, fine room with everything you can imagine for a great stay. Also, Susan was very helpful in fixing smaller problems with the heating - very responsive and not complicated at all. Can recommend the place and host for everyone without any doubt.
