This classic four bedroom home, known affectionately as "Flying Leap," is conveniently located on the less-populated Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe, a mere 10 minutes from the chairlifts and casinos.
The house is backed up against 10 million acres of National Forestlands, so the high Sierra literally starts in your backyard. There are cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails that leave from the backyard and go all the way tup to the Tahoe Rim trail and beyond (too long of a walk for a day trip, but it's still comforting knowing you could keep going forever and ever!).
With its sweeping multi-level layout, large Great Room and two sizable decks for entertaining, barbecuing and enjoying the sweet smells of nature, Flying Leap is an amazing place to call home base for your next Tahoe visit.
You and 7 of your best friends will sleep in comfortable new beds, while the brand new futon in the large office loft will let you squeeze a couple more in. You'll find the kitchen fully equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher and coffeemaker.
The house gets a thorough professional cleaning between visits, so we'll have it fully arranged with fresh linens, towels, toilet paper, and even cute little hotel soaps. Feel free to use the large washer and dryer to get your ski gear ready for the next day on the slopes!

Around the Neighborhood:
Roundhill is the first nice neighborhood you get to on the Nevada side, about 10 minutes drive past Heavenly Valley's new Gondola lift and base lodge next to the casinos. The house is only about 5 minutes drive to Nevada Beach State Park, with its amazing sunsets behind Mt. Tallac on the other side of the lake.
At the bottom of the hill, just a few minutes from the house, you'll find a 24-hour Safeway that sells beer, wine, and everything else you will need to keep your friends and family happy and well fed.
