This guest house is a cute rustic spot at the back of a main house. It is indeed quiet except for the visiting doves! The beds are comfortable but if you are not used to window units it maybe hard for you to adjust to them. The house still has a mouse problem and I had a few issues with my stay. With proper attention they can be attended to and fixed for future guests.

We loved being so close to where our oldest daughter lives and where our younger daughter goes to school. Tucked behind the main house, almost unseen from the street, this cabin was extremely convenient for getting to/from all of our activities in/around Austin from the northeast side, to the downtown farmer's market, to the botanical gardens. There is a Central Market nearby, allowing us to cook our own meals. We really enjoyed relaxed breakfasts and a lovely dinner on the patio where there is a picnic table and umbrella. Many kitchen staples were already supplied by the owner and previous guests leaving "extras" like spices and oil and coffee filters. The backyard has hedges and greenery around all sides, so even though we knew there were neighbors nearby, it still felt private. We had a couple of cool nights, and enjoyed the breeze through the screened windows. The last night was humid, so we ended up using the window A/C units, and they were fine. It was also a plus to have access to a washer and dryer during our stay. Daniel was prompt on sending info for check in and answering the question I asked. Thanks for a great visit!

This Cabin in the City made it very easy for us to get basically anywhere. Close to downtown but not too close so you also get a little sense of seclusion. The Cabin itself is super cozy and comfortable that I was able to get work done during the trip as well. There were 4 of us on the trip and the cabin was perfect for our group... I'd imagine it would be comfy with a group of 6 as well. Daniel was very accommodating, and very quick to respond to any questions we had. I'd definitely book again the next time I'm in Austin!

The pre-arrival communication from Daniel was very good, and the check-in process was seamless. The cabin is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood and was easy to get to. It's also pretty close to a nice strip of restaurants, etc. We were able to easily explore downtown and the hill country from this location since Austin is fairly easy to drive around. The private driveway was a huge plus since we had a car for the weekend. Unfortunately, we arrived to find mouse poop on the floor in the bathroom. As the description states, it's a cabin in a wooded area, plus the grass had been allowed to grow to 8–10 inches (it was cut the day after we arrived). We cleaned up the poop and Daniel and his wife Selina were very responsive and surprised to find out about this. We noticed fresh droppings on the second morning of our stay, also in the bathroom. I have full confidence that the owners will ensure this issue is fixed before the subsequent guest arrives based on their reaction to this news. Overall, the place is fine. The furniture is comfy and we all slept quite well. The bathroom and shower were nice. The kitchen is spacious. We didn't spend much time in the cabin so it was ok for what we needed.

The "cabin in the city" was quaint and comfortable. We were 3 female co-workers traveling together and wanted to be able to each have our own bed and plenty of space. Communication with Daniel was easy, we had everything we needed and could have asked for. Would definitely book again.

Quiet and peaceful with a "throwback" rustic feel. It was a great stay.
