  • What a lovely cottage! Tanya, Chris and the kids went out of their way to make my stay here incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. They were very attentive to every need, and were so friendly. It was a lovely and private getaway for me to do some writing in an idyllic country setting. It was also great to be able to pop into town, which was only just a few minutes away. The cottage itself is adorable, with everything you would need for a private stay. I enjoyed cooking up fresh meals and enjoying some California wine in the garden. I will definitely come back again!

  • Tanya, Chris and their two amazing kids Anna and Dustin were the best hosts possible. From the beautiful cottage, wonderfully cozy and clean, to the grounds of their beautiful home, I couldn't have had more fun. I fell in love with their two dogs, the donkey, the goats, the chickens and of course the peace and quiet. Tanya and Chris are hilarious, vivacious and kind people. Their kids are fantastic. Fresh eggs? Yup. Great conversation? Yup. Relaxation? Yup. It's everything and more. So glad I met the Norkus family, as I made some wonderful new friends!

  • This place is one of a kind. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, but definitely could have stayed much longer. Its located very close to the cute downtown and also very close to some great vineyards. The Norkus' are great hosts and the property itself is so breath-taking. The fresh eggs they leave for you in the fridge are from their chickens right on the property...its hard to find a better place!

  • The photos of the cottage give you a really good feel for the place - cozy, tidy and full of character. The bottle of wine and fresh eggs was such a nice touch and much appreciated. While we never had the pleasure of meeting Tanya, we did meet her husband, Chris, who was welcoming and patient in answering all of our questions about how he re-modeled this "old chicken coop" into such a cute cottage. He is very talented! The place is about 5 minutes from town which is nice; I would say it is residential, not "out in the boonies". We loved visiting the McEvoy Ranch (by appointment) and the Cowgirl Creamery in Point Reyes. Probably our favorite part of the trip was the rainy drive from Petaluma to Point Reyes - just really beautiful landscapes.

Tanya and Chris's cottage was the perfect home base for our Sonoma County beer tour. On the first night the kitchen was well stocked with cookware so we made risotto and kale salad! The small heating stove kept the provided light and warmth for us to play games by. The next day we went out, turning the thermostat down, expecting the cottage to be a little cold when we came back. However, Tanya or Chris had us covered because when we came back a little after dark the heater was already going! All in all this is a beautiful, cute place to stay.. oh and the eggs were delicious!

  • My car broke down on my way to the cottage, sadly. But Tanya was so nice about everything and even offered to pick me up from the bus stop! They were wonderful working with and I'm really sad I was unable to visit. But I will definitely try and make it back up their in the future and would recommend staying with them %100!

  • The Norkus family's cottage is spectacular. They provided everything we needed and more. Chris greeted us warmly and gave restaurant recommendations, and there was a bottle of wine and fresh eggs (from their chickens) waiting for us in the cottage. One night we went out for dinner, and when we arrived back "home," the Chris and Tanya had turned on the wood stove and a few lights so that we were comfortable and warm as soon as we entered--a special touch I was not expecting! The place is cozy and magical, and we will happily book again next time we come to Petaluma.

  • From the cozy pellet stove to the farm fresh eggs, Tanya provided an experience that went above and beyond just a nice place to stay. I booked this trip at the last minute and really appreciated Tanya's immediate reply.

  • We stayed at the Wine Cottage over Christmas and it was the perfect romantic getaway. Sonoma has so much to offer even in the winter. The cottage was perfect for 2, the accent lighting was superb and the fireplace just made the weekend. The fresh eggs were tasty, as was the wine. Thank you for your hospitality Tanya!

  • The Norkus family were warm and welcoming hosts and the clean and organized cottage is absolutely delightful. The building that Chris rebuilt was once a chicken coop and it maintains the integrity of the original design beautifully. We loved the location, the animals and the pellet stove. The internet was a little spotty sometimes and the decorations were generally lovely, though they definitely fill the space.
