Converted Convent in Centro Storico

she has a wonderful and spacious apartment right in the very heart of old bologna, location is the best in town. elizabeth has a lot of energy and we enjoyed getting to know her. her children were hardly there, but kind and polite when they were.

What a perfect location, right in the middle of Bologna on a lovely (and quite!) side street. Not 30 meters away from the front door is a church run (or at least owned) by the Order of Malta. This city is just overflowing with history and we were right in the middle of it! Elizabeth gave us great recommendations for places to eat (which we love to do), right down to which dish to get. Our room was bright and quiet, and the bathroom has a very nice shower. We had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful apartment with lots of windows/light in an excellent quiet area close to main city square. Nice room with big bathroom right across hallway. Enjoyed talking with Elizabeth, a very upbeat woman with an interesting life.

Elizabeth and her two boys are very kind hosts. Location is superb: very close to historical center but on a quiet side street, so you can easily walk to major tourist attractions while having quiet nights. The bedroom is somewhat tight for two people, but it is very functional. The fully equipped bathroom just across the hall is made available solely for guests and is very nice. Elizabeth left a nice breakfast, including coffee, each day. We had a good stay.

High energy, highly intelligent, talented, wonderful host whose extra kindnesses made us feel like we were family! Unbeatable location in a city that should be more prominent on tourist's radar screen (but is thankfully less crowded that other hot spots). Having lived in Bologna for 15 years Elizabeth's able and willing to offer great suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. Her two adorable boys were a delight---sweet, engaging and personable yet unobtrusive. The flat is thoroughly modern: cozy bedroom with private bath provided. We highly and unreservedly recommend Elizabeth and her home. Hope to visit again.

We had a comfortable and cozy stay at Elizabeth's place. She went out of her way to accommodate an early check in for us on Easter Sunday, even though she was going to be out of town for the day herself. The location really could not be better. If you're looking for a clean, cozy and quiet place to stay in the center of Bologna, no need to look any further.

Elizabeth and her kids are really relaxed, nice and open people. So as long as these attributes match yours as a guest you won't have any problems but rather enjoy your stay in their lovely place. We certainly did!

This was my first trip away from the United States and staying with Elizabeth and her sons was a complete dream. I was welcomed with grace and enthusiasm, she and her boys were incredibly helpful with recommendations, the language and just navigating the city. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and centrally located, making it fantastically easy to enjoy that magnificent city without the need for cabs or buses. Staying there is a definite must!

I stayed at Elizabeth's apartment in Beautiful Bologna Italy more than once. The area that the apartment is located in central to everything you could need while visiting Bologna. Pretty local sidewalk cafes, museums, shopping...just being able to hop on the bicycle and roam around town was truly liberating. Elizabeth is the perfect host to take care of you while you are jet lagged, plan fun things for you to do, excellent recommendations for traditional Italian restaurants on a budget. The apartment is airy, very comfortable and is only made complete by the presence of her two boys ( they were out and about with their friends most of the time). The room was very private and cozy. The house overall has a very positive energy...something about the elegant converted convent I suppose. Highly recommended!
