Description

Aloha and Mahalo for visiting my listing.

this place is nesteld on the slope of Hualalei mountain inmidst of coffee farms, from this cooler elevation (1200ft.) it is only 15 min. to Kailua -Kona, the nearest Beaches and Supermarket.

This downstair apartment is fully private with private entrance, bedroom has a queen bed, bathroom with bathtub/shower, walk-in closet. Lanai ( Porch) with view.
Kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric skillet and electric pot, toaster, coffee maker, electric water kettle, rice cocker and a blender.
Linen, towels and beach towels are provided. Free wireless internet, use of BBQ, car port.

At 1200 elevation it is nice to come home from a day of activities at the beach to a cooler climate and quiet neighborhood to relax and watch the sunset from the lanai with view.

My price does not include the Ge and Transient Tax ( 13.25% ) I will collect the Taxes upon arrival.

The Guests have the whole downstair to there own and use of washer/dryer in the carport.

I respect your privacy. But I encourage you do contact me for any needs or question. My dog Sundance likes to meet people and she will always great you happily when you come home, while my cat Hunter is rather shy and you may not even get to see him at all.

It is located in the midst of the famous Kona Coffee region, just 1 min. north from old charming Holualoa town with many Art Gallerys, a grocerie store, post office, coffee shop, and a wonderful outdoor restaurante (slow food). In just 12 min. you are in Kailua Kona town or at the nearest beaches.

Own transportation is needed all around the island.

Tipp: since so many of my guests have always regretted that they did not allow enough time on the Kona side, I like to recommend to stay at least 3 days on the west side of the island. From here you can even get to Hilo in 1:30 hr taking the saddle road. For sightsing the Volcano Nat. Park I would recommend 1 or 2 night in the Puna area.

My husband and I had a great experience at Karoline's place in Kona. The location was beautiful and easy to reach the areas we wanted to visit. Karoline was friendly, responsive, and very considerate. The place was stocked with all the little things you might forget to bring on a trip. Best of all was hanging out with Karoline's sweet dog, Sundance.

Everything about this stay was perfect and I cannot recommend Karoline's place enough. Our communication with Karoline before and during our stay was excellent, with prompt and helpful responses. The location of the place is superb with easy access to several different beaches on the Kona side. The view is also spectacular, and we enjoyed sitting out on the lanai watching the sunset most evenings. Karoline's place is surrounded by a beautiful and well-maintained garden with many fruit trees, cacti, etc. This made for a peaceful and relaxing environment as well as some delicious pomelo and bananas that Karoline generously shared with us. More bananas than we could eat! The property itself is a delight. Has everything you need, is impeccably decorated, plenty of space for 2, clean, modern, elegant. The bedroom was peaceful and we slept very well. Karoline has done an incredible job with the space and it was lovely to spend time just hanging out at home. When you do leave, everything you need for some fun activities is provided - bags, beach towels, snorkels, fins, boogie boards. All high quality stuff. Some small things I enjoyed were the informal fruit stands along the way to Karoline's place. Here we picked up avocados, citrus etc., for very little money. I also enjoyed giving Sundance the dog a friendly pat! This was a sweet stay and I hope to return someday. This has to be one of the best airbnb properties out there, at least one of my very favorites.

We Loved our stay at Karoline's place! The neighbourhood is great and it's close to Kona and everything the West Coast of the big Island has to offer. The kitchen is well stocked, everything is very clean and organized, and we felt very relaxed and at home there. Sundance, (Karoline's dog) was super lovely. We felt very welcome and would love to return again soon! Thank you, Karoline!

Karoline was really a great and friendly host. She (and her dog Sundance) gave us a very warm welcome at our arrival. A later check-in was also no problem. The communication upfront and during our visit was very easy. She also gave us good suggestions. The flat was perfectly clean and as described. It's located in the coffee plantage area of Kailua-Kona and the centre is only a 5-10 minute car ride away. The breathtaking view from the terrace is really priceless. We can highly recommend this place to all guys who are planning to visit Big Island. Thank you Karoline (and Sundance) for making our trip like feeling "beeing at home".

Beautiful and comfortable place, centrally located so a perfect spot to start day trips from. Loved having Sundance around to help with missing our dogs.

Karoline's place was just as described by her. The space was very clean, the bed so very comfortable, the sunsets from the lanai (porch) were spectacular overlooking the water. Her attention to all the little details which we might like was great. She offered lawn chairs, beach umbrella, snorkels and fins, beach towels, cooler, etc. She had fresh fruit on the table for us when we arrived. A wonderful place to stay!

The reviews speak for themselves so I'll keep this short. If you manage to book this place, even for 2 days, count yourself lucky. It is simply awesome and Karoline is a sweet, soft-spoken and caring host.

Karoline User ProfileKaroline is a superhost.

I'm a native of Austria. When I arrived the first time almost 20 years ago on this island I felt like coming home. I had to leave of course, but eventually I managed to stay for good. Now I can share my home with travelers, and I will do my best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Being a professional cleaner you can expect the place to be spic and span.
I'm a quiet person who loves to garden, cook and read.
