About this listing

Peaceful homey "cabin" - but large. All the modern conveniences. You won't see a soul. Wifi, hot tub, 2 decks... lots of space. Wood stove, wood floors. Washer/dryer. Big kitchen with all appliances. High thread count sheets. Relaxation.

The space

The perfect spot to get away from it all. True peace and tranquility await. Think hot tub under the stars, hammock under the pines, not a house in sight. Add comfy linens and wifi and dream baby dream.

Woodstove. Hot Tub. Wifi. Peace.

As often as necessary. You're on your own unless you need something. Then I am on it.

Peaceful. Farmers and artists.

You need a car here.

Guest access

Great kitchen, wifi, hot tub, Apple TV, stars, fresh air, pine scented breezes, hammock, BBQ, wood stove, 2 decks.

Interaction with guests

Home is set up as self-servicing (with cleaner coming before and after you). You won't see a soul. Perfect for lovers of privacy, peace and quiet.

Other things to note

Nice and easy space - not high end, but quality bed linens and well equipped space for relaxation. Not a condo! The opposite of a condo. Think country - which means you will probably see a spider.

Insurance and tax are included in the rates. There's an open stairway so toddlers should be supervised to prevent injuries. You won't see anyone and its a rural location so some policies reflect this - ask questions before booking. House works best for independent self-sufficient adults and their spawn (it's not a luxury condo; but it is an awesome spacious comfy get away from it all house). The hot tub is wood-fired - not a flick a switch hot tub. The main heat source is wood (in the house). It works great and is easy to learn and not all that hard - house is well insulated etc - just be ok with carrying in wood (supplied). You WILL see a spider and it's web somewhere. House is in the woods yet not too far to town. Private and quiet. Think nature with espresso maker and wifi.

Great location for ultimate privacy. It isn't possible to have a question once you get there due to meticulously detailed notes. Hot tub was amazing but leave plenty of time for it to heat up. We were both big fans of the toilet seat as weird as that sounds. Would absolutely come back.

This was our second time staying here. Exceeded expectations just as before! Super private but great location. Hot tub is top notch!

Steven's place was fantastic. In a beautiful location and big enough to fit six of us very comfortably. We even got some snow so the woodburning stove and hot tub definitely came in handy!

Steven's place is perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. We loved the spot, and Steven made the process a breeze. 10 out of 10, would do again.

Our family loved this gem nestled in the Vermont woods! Even with the single digit temperatures outside, the hot tub heated like a charm to warm us up outdoors while the wood stove in the house kept us toasty inside. Great location and accommodations for a skiing weekend. Steven was a great host answering all of our questions along the way! The layout of the cabin was perfect for our family of 4 humans and 2 dogs! The dogs loved looking outside at the falling snow as most of the windows were eye-level for them. The cabin is clean, well stocked and comfortable (especially the beds!). We would recommend this cabin as it is a great, private, peaceful get-away.

Response from Steven:
Thanks for being such awesome guests. I love knowing dogs are in the house. It soothes my heart. Great suggestions sent privately - will definitely do ALL of them! You are welcome back anytime. Summer is delightful and of course fall. So different from winter yet equally magical. Even spring with mud season and sugaring is great in its own way.

Found the place just as advertised, a a nice mix of rustic charm and modern amenities. It is a great space to slow down and unwind by the fire. Decided not to use the hot tub since the outside temperature dropped to about 0 degrees(bummer). I wish I lived closer as I would be looking for a return trip in warmer temps as the outside space is a great added bonus. Wood stove was great, but if you aren't used to fires you might find it a bit intimidating. I had no issues, but I grew up with a wood stove and make quite a few campfires. Be prepared for the need to get things warm again in the morning or after leaving for an extended time in winter (wood stove heating, this should be expected). Did not interact with Steven, but didn't need to. All needed information (and more) was provided with listing and house book. This is a great place for people who are fairly self sufficient or people who can follow simple instructions. Also a great place for people looking to slow down and spend some time in the woods/outside or by the fire rather than just a place to sleep at night. At least one review stated that the check out instructions were long. They LOOK a little long, but most of the items in the list should go without saying (turn out the lights, clean the dishes). Perhaps it could be limitedtothe most important items for readability...not a big deal at all. The only real negative that I found was some pet hair on the couch. This isn't a deal breaker for me, at least not for a cabin in the woods. P.S. I saw a spider, but unfortunately no bears or moose.

Amazing stay! Everything was smooth sailing from start to finish. The cabin is extremely spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need! The wood-fired hot tub and wood-fired stove made this trip extra special. Would definitely come back here when we return to Vermont!

I am a gay guy. Love to travel with my husband to interesting places to discover local culture - especially cuisine.
