SoMa Edwardian near Civic Center

Jason and Abby's place was great. It feels like home away from home. The apartment was spacious, clean and has all the necessary things you need that you don't want to bring along with you on a vacation. Location wise, it is less than a 10 minute walk to the Muni train station at the Civic Center which allowed us easy access to the rest of the city's attractions. Jason was a great host and very helpful and accommodating. Will definitely recommend this apartment!

Shared this apartment with my husband and parents during a five day trip to SF for a conference happening near Union Square. I was able to travel to and from my conference easily, and the rest of my family had an easy time exploring SF from this location. We really enjoyed the clean and well furnished apartment. The living room was a nice place to relax at the end of the day, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. Our hosts recommended a great restaurant nearby that we ate at twice and also a cool coffee shop.

This was the perfect place for two of my friends and I. It is hard to find a place in the city with 3 separate beds, and this place was large and bright for all us. It was easy to get around the city, and a short walk from union square. The house was clean and had plenty of sheets and towels. I would definitely stay again.

The apartment is quite clean. Facilities are far more sufficient then we expect. The location are pretty convenient. House manual is clear and useful. We really had great time there.

Great space away from home. Others mention the neighborhood is 'rough' but it is a typical city block, use your street smarts and get a cab after dark, stay off Mission St. after dark, and you will be fine. We had *fantastic* support via e-mail with Jason and Abby. With their advice, we were able to plan practical walking routes and find some great local places. Our flight left late in the day and we were able to leave our luggage in the apt. past check out. Great kitchen to cook in, and very peaceful. (The bed in the front room has the best pillows ever if you are a pillow junkie.) Our only regret is that we did not meet face to face to share a meal or cup of tea with them.

Loved the place. Nice, cozy, and clean with plenty of comforts and amenities. Jason and Abby were amazing hosts full of helpful advice and a fully stocked kitchen and liquor cabinet for our use (don't worry we left most of it intact for the next guests). :D Did I mention there's also free internet? There were four of us and it was our first time using Airbnb. We came back literally talking about never going back to the classic hotel stay. The area is also in a great location for visiting San Francisco. It's right next to the Civic Center which has a farmers market and a huge central transit hub. Highly highly recommended.

The apartment is very nice, clean and well located near several cafes and restaurants. You can find almost anything you need in the apartment. We were 3 male adults staying for 1 week and it was very comfortable. There are some things that can be improved: internet and the sofa bed mattress. Internet signal works ok (sometimes) only in one bedroom...and if you are a tourist or in a conference, you really need internet nowadays. Then, the sofa bed mattress needs a change, its almost flat and you can feel it in your back. Besides this two fixable things, we will totally recommend this apartment.

Abby and Jason were very accommodating hosts. The place was very clean and in good order. If there was something that could be improved, they jumped right on it. For example, it was very cold during the stay and they brought up a spare space heater for the bathroom. I needed some extra electrical plugs so they brought up power strip for the bedroom.

Abi and Jason were absolutely fantastic hosts! We had the pleasure of staying at both of their apartments during our two week stay in San Francisco and they were both exactly as described and as shown on here. Actually, the photographs do not capture the tiny details, thoughtfulness and effort Abi and Jason put in to making our stay so enjoyable e.g. providing fresh bed linen, clean towels, toiletries, porridge and breakfast cereal bars, and replenishing the toilet paper supply through our stay. These small but important details made us immediately feel at home after our long haul flight. (Note to fellow Brits… the coffee is good but don’t forget to pack the PG Tips!) Both apartments are conveniently located for the Moscone Centre, transport links are good and there are excellent eateries around the corner (Citizens band can be quite busy but worth the wait). I would highly recommend Abi and Jason as your hosts and either one of their properties; we loved this property in particular because of its character, spaciousness and homely feel. If I ever get to go back to SF I would definitely love to stay here again!!

Our hosts had left a note saying we were welcome to use anything in the kitchen, including dry goods & whatever other people had left. I was skeptical until I started digging through the fridge, cupboards & freezer~ what a treasure trove of supplies to make this gourmand's heart skip a few beats! Some of the items on hand included: harissa (a middle-eastern spicy chile paste), tomato paste in a tube imported from Italy, white truffle oil, spices of all types, sea salt, not to mention a total of 2 half gallons-worth of high end ice cream (making Mike, our ice cream connoisseur, very pleased).

Great place! Spacious and quiet, and only a few steps to shops/bars/food. Would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I had a very pleasant stay at Abby and Jason's property. It was clean, spacious and a great location for exploring SF. We would definitely visit again in the near future - highly recommend.

Great place to stay for our family of 6 very comfortable and in a great spot of the city. Easy excess to public trsnsport and shops. It was fun.

we had a great time at jason's place ! We are a family of 4 ( kids 12 & 6 ) visiting from France the place was exactly as we expected, there location is perfect to visit the city, we had a rental car and it's very convenient to be able to park in front of the apt. We highly recommend this place Ludovic

Unfortunately i have had a bad experience renting Jasons house. When we arrived there was laundry in the dryer and washing machine - did not understand wether to finish it of leave it.. The shower drain was clogged so showering wasn't a feast. When Jason came to fix it we had a talk about how to leave the house. I misunderstood that there is no cleaning lady and that all guests clean after themselves (and for the new arriving guest). We vacuum cleaned, took garbage out, got sheets in front of the washing machine (how can you wash and dry sheets of 6 persons while check out is at 11) and cleaned the kitchen. But again: we misunderstood. Communication with Jason about this gave me such a bad feeling! I would have offered to pay for the cleaning lady they had to call but because of the offensive way Jason wrote to me, i didn't. The house suits 6, but the bed in the living room has no normal sheets and is uncomfortable Also there is no smoking inside but there is a garden where you can smoke. Because there is no sun in the garden we only had a couple of cigarettes in the garden and for the rest we were out. Now Jason accuses us of smoking (even other than normal cigarettes! Because all people of Holland travel the world to smoke whatever inside while the sun is shinning?!) Because of our group Jason now asks for a cleaning fee. I would have preferred that so i hope i did everybody a favor :)

We enjoyed a lot with our stay - our first Airbnb experience. Perfect for a group of 4. Great location as we were having business meetings around SOMA and often travelled to Mountain View / Palo Alto by Caltrain. And the place looks exactly what it shows at the picture - clean and with everything you need. Simply send Jason a message and they reply real quick.

Great time in SF with this very nice flat in a good location. We are a group of 6 friends landing in SF for a road trip and I don't think we could have find a better place to start.

Awesome, modern, super clean condo -- you'd be psyched to live there. Super-tall ceilings with a kind of ski-lodge vibe. Really great host.

Great location in SFMOMA. Protected parking space, which was a huge relief. Spacious home with a modern flair. Great dining options in walking distance.

Abby & Jason are our close friends from the neighborhood. They are the people who told us about Airbnb in the first place. We trust them implicitly as they have nothing but the best intentions toward everyone. We collaborate with the in many endeavors such as wine making, canning, gardening as well as more business like ventures such as real estate investment and financial planning. We enjoy hanging out with Abby and Jason because they are funny, extremely intelligent, have had a wide variety of experiences and are very open minded. Abby and Jason are rare people to meet, we are lucky to have such great neighbors and friends!

My wife and I stayed at their place for a few weeks, and they were excellent hosts. They were very friendly and helpful, while never being in the way. And their home is so centrally located it a flash to get downtown, to the mission district or about twenty other places in the city. I would recommend a staying with them anytime you're in San Francisco.

I'm not sure what else I can say that hasn't been said before about Jason and Abby's place on SOMA. The reviews are so right! Jason and Abby have a great little place in the South Market area of San Francisco; I loved walking around the neighborhood and enjoying the local shops and restaurants. Their place is within walking distance to central market and the civic center, from there you can walk up or down to piers on the bay or take the MUNI to the Haight " If there's any area of San Francisco that evokes images of the long-gone '60s hippie culture, the Haight is it". This was my first time staying at Jason and Abby's place and of all the Airbnb places I've stayed over the years they are a great example of what it means to be gracious hosts: welcoming, kind, helpful, and giving guests space if they want it. Perfect. They're also funny and intelligent people, and it was a real joy to be around them and to share their space. I can't say enough good things about them! Book this place!
