  Nice and comfortable Room, very friendly Hosts (Frida & Shabs) if you need any help they will be there for you. Excellent connection to Manhattan even in the night. We would definitely recommend them, who is looking for an affordable stay around NY.

  Nous avons passé huit jours à NY et avons séjourné ma fille et moi chez des hôtes vraiment très charmants.il y avait deux autres couples en même temps que nous mais cela ne pose aucun problème .le bus nous amène à Manathan en 10 minutes sauf aux heures de pointe où cela peut atteindre 45 minutes. Chambre simple et propre,cuisine et salle de bain indépendante de celle des propriétaires.il y a 3 ou 4 chambres pour les invités il faut se partager les locaux communs (wc,sdb et cuisine). Adresse à conseiller pour le rapport qualité/prix.

  I was staying at Shabs and Farida's with a friend while visiting NYC. Shabs and Farida were probably the most thoughtful and helpful hosts I've ever known. Before we even got to NYC - Shabs responded to emails and inquiries promptly and that really tells how much they care about their guests' concerns and questions. The room that we stayed at was clean, smells nice and organized. They also provided clean towels, basic toiletries and WiFi. Even breakfast was provided. It is the smallest thing like that that travelers appreciate so much because fewer things to be worried about. The only one thing which the hosts had already forewarned is about the transportation to and from NYC/Manhattan. There are a couple of options with the buses, but the one bus that takes it the closest to their place doesn't run late on the weekends, and since my friend and I stayed for the weekend, it was a little inconvenient for us. However, taking costs for the stay, transport and experience that we had, it's definitely worth it. Their place is also really close to a look-out spot of the Hudson River and Manhattan. It's gorgeous at night with all the lights and skylights from Manhattan. I would give 4 to Shabs and Farida for the hosting and 3 for the location of their place.   My wife and I spent seven wonderful days in NYC and we're happy to have chosen the home of Farida and Shabs as our first experience in airbnb. Both are very helpful, friendly, besides having all the information required for a pleasant stay. The house is situated in an extremely quiet and safe neighborhood, and to get to Port Authority station, located near major city attractions are just 10 minutes in a comfortable and timely bus. Certainly we will visit NYC again, and although we dont know what museums and attractions we will visit, the place to host us is already decided. Thank you.

  I had a lovely time at Shabs place. They are wonderful people who were very kind to me and make the experience very pleasant. There is privacy and a private kitchen. I enjoyed and would recommend this place to anyone. The bus goes right in front of their house.

  Travelling on my own was a big step and a bit scary but staying with Shabs and Farida made my new york part of the trip less of an ordeal. Due to the snow storm i was very late to check in but Shabs and Farida stayed up to welcome me and show me around. The room was very comfortable and clean , the shared kitchen was clean and tidy with everything you needed with set shelf for you and then shelves for everyone to use. There is a supermarket just around the corner as well as several bus stops that go to Manhattan. i would come back and stay here again and would recommend to my friends.

  Wouhh! Rita & Shabs are very nice! We arrived early but the room was ready in few minutes, the fridge was full and the house was very comfortable. They are very, very kind. It's really, really good when you are at only 10 minutes of Times Square. The location is very good. The next time, we will repeat. Thank You!! Isaac & Esther.

  Basically all the reviews that were posted already are true. Easy transportation to NY (around ~12 minutes to Port Authority Bus Terminal), clean and spacious room, and best of all, very very nice hosts. Highly recommended.

  Shabs and Frida are kindest than you can expect, the room is very big and beds are comfortable. Union city is really near from the center of Manhattan and with NJ Transit busses it takes onl 10 minutes to get to manhattan. Nice coming back home late at night and walking in Boulevard Est where you can see a really nice view of Manhattan!

  I visited the US for the first time and Farida and Shabs helped me a lot with directions and the local transport schedule. There is a bus stop just a few footsteps away (NJ transit 156) which passes every 20 min. This bus goes directly to Manhattan Port Authority Bus Terminal right next to Time Square and takes between 15 min and 25 min. There is also a supermarket just around the corner.   After all the tragedies that happened in Japan,we were not expecting to arrive at Shabs place as scheduled.We planned the trip a month ago,and we were too excited about it but 2 days before the flight we recieved an update from the airline that we had a new flight schedule, since the plane woudn't be flying from Haneda instead Narita.As soon as we got the schedule I sent Shabs an e-mail and they were really supportive and gave all the informations we needed. It really helped us find their place easily.It was also so kind of them to send me informations on how to save a couple of bucks using online reservations for the airport shuttle bus which really came too handy after arriving the airport dropping us at The Port Authority Bus Terminal where we had to ride the bus going to their place. Shabs place as described was really close to the bus stop, which we frequently used. And there's also another bus stop 2 blocks away which we used going to the city, it has lots of busses coming back and forth, plus the panorama you'll see from there.We loved having a short walk to the bus stop every morning at this quiet,peaceful neighborhood! The bus ride was only a few minutes and you're in the city! Transportation wasn't a problem except during the weekends,so be sure to check the timetable. But don't worry, once you ring the doorbell,Farida who's so friendly will meet you and show you all around the house from the bedroom ,the bathroom and the kitchen. She'll give you all the informations you'll need. The bed was very comfortable,warm and the room was really spacious not to mention the bathroom which my daughter really liked!! The shower room was really a surprise since it was newly renovated with it's nice doors and really clean.Shabs & Farida are very friendly,lovely couple.They'll really make you feel at home away from home! Breakfast at Shabs and Farida's house was great. You're more than staying in a five star hotel!! I/ We would really love to come again and stay at Shabs & Farida's. I'll surely recommend their place to my friends.

  We stayed 2 weeks with this wonderful couple over christmas and new years. It's the most easiest way to get to new york and so much cheaper and more relaxed then actually staying in manhatten it self. There's all you need, and they gave us some really good advises what to do and where to go. We would recommend them to everyone! Thank you so much for having us!

  My wife and I really enjoyed our stay with Shabs and Farida. The house is conveniently situated on a bus route taking you into NYC right near times square in around 15 minutes. We were provided with loads of information to help get us started which we found useful. The room was spacious and there are two choices of bathroom which meant we could always get up and get going without any delays. The kitchen is well stocked so cooking was a breeze - for those on a budget this can certainly help reduce the costs of a trip. A supermarket is situated just around the corner and there are a few restaurants around too. We would both recommend staying here and will definitely return if the opportunity arises.
