**BEAUTIFUL STUDIO in MARAIS center

This was a perfect spot for my boyfriend & I, who are used to staying in a tiny apt in Brooklyn. That being said, it was very well represented in the photos- a crisp studio with great windows (perfect for watching the sunset) & a bed made of clouds, a super-small but adequately stocked kitchen (we're both professional cooks & were able to pull off some killer meals), & an excellent location (beautiful neighborhood, near metro stations). Nice to have access to a computer with internet & a good sound system. Justin checked in via email several times before & during our trip to make sure we had everything we needed. He really is a perfect host. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks, Justin!

I would highly recommend staying at Justin's place if you have the opportunity. The location is fantastic - a half block off of a metro in the Marais and great restaurants, bars and historical buildings within walking distance. The amenities are excellent. The loft is very spacious and the view of the rooftops is enchanting. Windows offer a lot of light. Street noise is present at night but closing the windows will help this if it bothers you. The spiral staircase is a climb and may bother some but it is wide and beautiful and helped me work off the wine and cheese. Justin has great taste in design. The only negative was a lack of much storage/drawers for clothing for a long term stay. With three locked doors/gates, the place had a very secure feeling. As a host, Justin was kind, polite and welcoming. He left maps and guides behind and set me up on the computer and wi-fi (note - it does have a french keyboard). He allocated some space to hang a few things and the place was very clean. Justin even left some wine and orange juice, which was much appreciated after a day of travel. I feel lucky to have stayed here over my six days in Paris.

Tout simplement parfait! My partner and I spent four beautiful days and five cozy nights in Justin's charming apartment. His design sense is chic and inspiring and his home makes for a perfect getaway. Do not hesitate to snag this incredible place!

I loved staying in Justin's very Parisian apartment. It's decorated simply, but very stylishly, with an amazing view of Le Marais. Justin was there to greet me, and even helped me with my rather large suitcase up the five flights of stairs. The stairs are many, but not too steep and fairly easy to climb, and worth the view from the apartment. The kitchen is small, but very well stocked and Justin even invited me to use his vast collection of spices. There's a very convenient market directly across the street where you can stock up on wine, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. The bathroom is modest, but the tub and shower work great (I like good water pressure, and the massage shower head is very nice, too). It was unusually warm in Paris this June (96 degrees!) and to be able to come back to the apartment to escape the heat after walking in the hot city was most welcome. The apartment, despite the heat stayed fairly cool. I loved keeping the windows wide open and hearing the church bells and sounds of city life below. The apartment is perfectly located, close to great shops and cafes. I walked almost everywhere, and the Metro was just a few blocks away. Close to the Seine, and Notre Dame, as well. It's also close to Rose's Bakery (a wonderful organic cafe) and Rue St. Paul, loaded with wonderful vintage shops. I would definitely recommend Justin's lovely apartment to friends and family, and stay here again!

Justin was a wonderful host and the apartment was exactly as billed - charming, clean, very central, yet quiet. A really fantastic place to spend a few nights in Paris!

Justin was a great host and helped by sending directions to the studio from the airport. The apartment is just as pleasant as described in the posting (including the long walk up the staircase mentioned in other reviews)- beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great location, cute studio apartment.

This is a beautiful studio in an outstanding location. The studio itself is spacious, light, clean, secure and comfortable with excellent facilities (great bathroom; free wi fi; iPod sound system). I could not have asked for a better home away from home. It is important to note that the apartment is located up a number of flights of narrow stairs (not a problem for me but it could be for those with mobility issues). The location is exceptional - in the heart of marais but in a side street so no excessive noise. There is a supermarket literally across the street and an artisan bakery a block down, 15 minutes walking distance from the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame and St Germain. There is also a metro station and RER within 5 minutes walking distance. Justin is a warm & gracious host who took me through the ins and outs of the apartment - and had bottles of water, juice and a lovely bottle of red stocked in the kitchen for me. Overally, I can not recommend Justin and this apartment highly enough. I look forward to staying there again on my return to Paris.

I'd happily rent from Justin again - he was responsive and helpful. The studio was a nice, comfortable place that I enjoyed staying in, and would happily return to. Be aware that it's at the top of several flights of stairs. Free WiFi access. Location great: ~100m from a Metro stop, and easy walking from shops, cafes. There's a small supermarket across the street, fantastic bakeries just around the corner. After I left, Justin solicitied feedback on my stay, and fixed a couple of issues I'd raised (including photos to show how); I wish more landlords were like that!

The apartment is in a great place in Paris with some great food nearby - the Cambodian isn't all that great but being from Oceania I am used to great Asian foods...La Clochette is one fine French place to eat. Justin gave us heaps of information which was invaluable. We walked everywhere and to get to the middle of Paris take the Metro to Frankiln Roosevelt from the Republique station. The local people can be friendly but some who hang and drink around St Martins Canal can be rather brash. The apartment is small but can be well suited to two people. Justins music selection is good and we thoughoughly enjoyed staying in this part of Paris. Yes the 109 steps can be a bugger at the end of a long day walking the streets of Paris but well worth the effort...dont have a heavy suitcase but Justin bounded up the stairs with Kims and came back down to help me the last 2 flights. I recommend staying at the "design artist studio on the canal"....it has everything you could want.

Great place, amazing neighborhood, super quiet street (Rue St. Paul --but see below on other noises), I always find the Marais to be the best combo of funky, arty, "mixed", open minded, cool, great restaurants, not a sea of tourists et al. In this apartment you are truly living like a local in an ancient building on one of the most charming streets in Paris. Elevator a nice plus with lotsa luggage. Having a kitchen/fridge is great but when a foodie visits Paris we wanted to go out! Also, yes there is a washer but as typical in Europe no dryer, so either save a day or two to let stuff dry or hit a laundromat nearby to dry. Only downsides are that things can get loud after 8AM weekdays as there is an elementary school playground literally right outside the bedroom window (double paned windows help, but 100 shrieking kids pierce even that, and there seem to be many recesses in France, haha), and a baby downstairs (who was mostly quiet for 5 days blessedly). Not that we wanted to sleep til noon, but if you are sensitive to noise and want to maybe nap one day be prepared with earplugs and melatonin :-) Also, toiletries are sparse (no TP on arrival), so as always for the savvy traveler who uses AirBnB, be prepared and have backups et al... Justin couldn't meet us on arrival (and the days of Champagne on arrival seem to be past :-)), but was great and prepared with a friend who was responsive and right on time to meet us. Overall, wonderful week in Paris. Such a great way to go, thanks Justin and AirBnB!

This was a very convenient place to stay: close to the Metro, walkable distance to Notre Dame, and plenty of food. Justin was very accommodating and made sure we had all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. The apartment was very safe and comfortable enough.

We loved having Justin's lovely apartment so conveniently located to everything. This was my first time to Paris and first time using Airbnb and I am telling everyone about it. This is such a more comfortable way to travel. Justin was there to meet us and show us around, answer our questions, and then we never saw him again, or anyone. It was completely private and quiet, which we appreciated. There is a grocery store right across the street and we could purchase what we needed. It was a truly beautiful trip and Justin's apartment was a great choice for us. Thank you, Justin. And thank you to the Airbnb community. What a great operation you run!

I spent three unforgettable days in Paris in this charming apartment, which has gorgeous windows on the Seine, the Palais de Justice and Notre Dame; the location is one of the most romantic and ancient neighborhoods of the city. I had no trouble at all with the reservation and the host's welcome was friendly and punctual. The neighborhood is lively and it offers many opportunities for eating and also for going out after dinner and it is in a strategic position to reach on foot a lot of touristic attractions: my husband and I could walk to the Tour Eiffel and the Arc De Triomphe. We definitely couldn't find a better place to enjoy Paris and I hope to return there very soon.

We enjoyed our stay at Rue Paul. The apartment is very quiet and roomy. The location is great.

We had a great time staying at Avenue Richerand. The location is great; it's close to the canal, there are many great bars, restaurants, bakeries, and shops in the area, and it's close to several metro lines . Like many Paris apartments, you have to climb to get there (110 steps), but it's very much worth it. The kitchen is well fitted out and you could do a little cooking if you wanted. Justin was an excellent host, providing very useful recommendations for what to do in the area. He also allowed us to leave our bags in the apartment after we had checked out; that made our last day in Paris much easier. All in all, we recommend the apartment highly!

Justin was a very gracious host and his apartment was perfect. It is in an excellent location, close to the metro and within walking distance of many main attractions, restaurants and bars. It was quiet, a good size for 2 people and all the amenities were in great condition. There is a hair dryer available so I didn't have to worry about a European converter, which is a small detail but one I am sure other women will appreciate! The stairs are no joke - very steep and lots of them, but good exercise. I cannot say enough about the views - absolutely stunning and well worth the price and hike up the stairs. Highly recommended.
