We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our time. It was funky and casual but, so are we. The structure we were in is a coffee shed with two screened windows that don't close. The roosters crowing in the middle of the night were almost a deal breaker. The driveway is steep.

We loved staying at the lucky farm. The barn felt very private though there were no windows (only mosquito nets). Gazing at the gorgeous sky with tons at of stars at night and waking up to the sound of shaking banana palm tress and the roosters was very exotic and wonderful. We picked up fruits in the morning and made a nice cup of coffee. Bring mosquito repellent so you can enjoy the outside space at night. We brought ou 10 months baby and he loved the place. There was a pack-n-play provided for us. Loved the outdoor shower.

This is a great place to be close to nature. Since many of the walls are just screens, you can enjoy pleasant breezes and wake up to birds chirping. Sensitive sleepers might want ear plugs because of the roosters. The location is very close to shops and some great restaurants, and Johnsie and JP gave some great recommendations for the area and were very friendly.

What an exceptional experience! The cabin was secluded, and the outdoor shower was great. We loved the delicious breakfast every morning with fresh fruit, a hot dish, and excellent hospital historical information. We were told about 2 Step, the best snorkeling experience that we had in Hawaii, and our hosts had towels and snorkeling gear for us to borrow. Be sure to bring bug spray because there are mosquitoes, and be aware that there are rosters. We delighted in the nighttime sounds and the rosters crossing in the morning, but some people may not have the sand level of appreciation. This cabin was easy to get to From the Kona Airport, and it was really close to some great restaurants and excellent beaches and snorkeling locations. I highly recommend it.

A very special place! The hosts are extremely welcoming and each morning we were blessed with a fresh, beautiful and delicious fruit plate from the farm. We've learned quite some things by the stories being shared while having breakfast. You're sleeping surrounded by the farm trees, plants and all of the "local animals".
