The house was adorable! Kitchen had just enough supplies (including bottled water and two beers in the fridge!) the beds were cozy, sitting room was welcoming, an the outdoor open area was a favorite spot for us. The house was in a great location, easily walkable to all we wanted to do. He quiet area was great for getting solid rest at night. Our hosts (including friendly Casserole) were readily available, kind, unobtrusive and very helpful! We had a lovely stay. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to staying again

We absolutely loved staying at Adolfo and Marie's home. Excellent location and super cute home! We also loved their bunny Casserole. Adolfo and Marie made us feel at home when we arrived as they welcomed us into their home. They also provided privacy as well. If ever in SMA again, I would love to stay in their home again. Thank you. :)

Marie is lovely and she made us feel welcome right away. She gave us a map with a few tips to dine around the city centre and introduced us to Casserole the rabbit who lives in the garden. She left a delicious home-made bread and a couple of beers in the fridge. In general the house is very charming and authentic. It's got a lot of great photographs and art decorates almost every wall. The rooms are a bit dark and a bit chilly since most of the day the sun only reaches the patio and terrace. The terrace is a lovely place to hang out with a beer and a good book! I would say that some details could be improved. The towels in the bathroom are thin and on the old side, the curtains in the bathroom are barely hanging in there and you feel very exposed. It is okay if you are staying with family I guess, but both bedrooms have access to the same bathroom so you have to make sure you lock both doors to avoid surprises (also be very discreet since everyone can hear everything)! The bathroom also has a massive window that leads right to the terrace, so again not very private. It is a lovely old colonial home that could use some extra care and a few new items such as towels, curtains and bedding would go a long way! The bathroom could greatly benefit from a bit of extra cleaning (old soaps and dust were left in the shower) and maybe even replacing the broken tiles. That said, it's in a great location, away from the noise of the bars but close enough to walk almost anywhere! The town's main square is only a 10 min walk away.

Adolfo and Marie's rustically charming home in San Miguel de Allende, pleasant and centrally located, was a convenient and quiet place to spend two weeks in this expatriate artist community. Our hosts were gracious, accommodating and nearby (across the garden) should a problem arise. They resolved problems as they arose and gave advice regarding where to find places, events, and things to do.

Adolfo and Marie were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming and responsive to our needs. Their house is conveniently located near Centro and taxis/buses were close-by. If you go in the winter bring warm clothes ~ although they did buy a space heater for us.

Adolfo and Marie made us feel right at home and were so gracious in sharing their wonderful place! The casita is as described, clean and unique, and felt like a little farm casita in the country. This, despite how close it is to the Jardin. As most homes in San Miguel, it can be cold during cold spells (ours unfortunately was) but their fireplace, warm down quilt, and warm hanging out clothes sufficed. We enjoyed the art work, the kitty and rabbit who are very entertaining, and Marie's recommendations for entertainment and food. Never any issues with communication-- It was a wonderful two-week stay and would highly recommend this casita for those who appreciate a unique, rustic feel, modern artwork, and just sharing a great space. Thanks so much Marie and Adolfo! Good luck in everything!!

I can not say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful place! Our hosts were kind, generous, and available. The communication was excellent from the beginning. The home itself is absolutely beautiful and so, so peaceful as well as convenient. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the place is perfectly decorated, and everything is as it is presented here, if not better. Marie and Adolfo were kind enough to provide us with a map of their favorite spots and were happy to answer any questions. They were really kind to my daughter and she was thrilled to feed the bunny! When I got sick, Marie even gave me medicine that helped me get back on my feet. Really and truly, it is one of the best places I've stayed in through Airbnb and I've stayed in a lot! We felt completely at home here and were so sad to go. I can not recommend it highly enough and I can't wait to go back. If you are going to San Miguel de Allende, please book this apartment! You will not find a better place or more fabulous hosts.
